Two-component organogelators: combination of Nε-alkanoyl-L-lysine with various N-alkanoyl-L-amino acids: additional level of hierarchical control

Synthesis of two-component organogelation system was performed very easy and concise manner from N^ε-palmitoyl-L-lysine ethyl ester and N^ε-miristoyl-L-lysine ethyl ester in which they were used as base component and N-lauroyl-L-amino acids (amino acids:, alanine, leucine and phenylalanine as acid components.). And their organogelation properties were examined in different pharmaceutical fluids such as liquid paraffin, fatty acid ethyl, and isopropyl esters. In this way, gelation efficiency was ascertained variations of alkanoyl moieties and combination of different amino acids in the gelator structures. Characterization of gelators was performed via thermal measurement such as Tg and gel–sol enthalpy change; SEM and FTIR as optical methods.     

N1‐(2,6‐Di­methyl­phenyl)‐N2‐hydroxy‐α‐oxo‐α‐phenyl­acet­amidine

The structure of the title compound, C₁₆H₁₆N₂O₂, consists of a dimeric arrangement around an inversion centre of acet­amidine mol­ecules linked via O—H⋯N hydrogen bonds. There are also H⋯π‐ring interactions. All these interactions result in the formation of infinite chains parallel to the (101) axis. The oxime group has an E conformation.

Singlet Oxygen‐Induced Furan Oxidation for Site‐Specific and Chemoselective Peptide Ligation

A novel chemoselective ligation methodology has been developed for the facile construction of peptide‐based fluorescent probes. Furan‐containing peptides were activated by singlet oxygen and covalently engaged by nitrogen nucleophiles to yield stable conjugates. Singlet oxygen was compatible with sensitive amino acid residues within the peptides and a range of fluorophores, bearing different functionalities, were successfully incorporated, illustrating the broad scope of the developed strategy.     

Pyramidal tours and multiple objectives

In this study, we work on the traveling salesperson problems and bottleneck traveling salesperson problems that have special matrix structures and lead to polynomially solvable cases. We extend the problems to multiple objectives and investigate the properties of the nondominated points. We develop a pseudo-polynomial time algorithm to find a nondominated point for any number of objectives. Finally, we propose an approach to generate all nondominated points for the biobjective case.
