Hardy type inequalities with exponential weights for a class of convolution operators

In this paper we consider operators of the form H=λ(-i∇), with λ analytic in a strip and with some specific growth conditions at infinity, and prove Hardy type estimates in L ²(ℝ ⁿ ) with exponential weights. In fact we extend our previous results [19] from bounded analytic functions on a strip to analytic functions with polynomial growth in that strip.     

A result on sets,with applications to vector optimization

In this paper there is stated a result on sets in ordered linear spaces which can be used to show that some properties of the sets are inherited by their convex hulls under suitable conditions. As applications one gives a characterization of weakly efficient points and a duality result for nonconvex vector optimization problems.     

Self-commutator inequalities in higher dimension

Three natural multi-dimensional substitutes for the self-commutator of a Hilbert space operator are introduced and generalizations of Putnam's inequality to tuples of operators with semidefinite self-commutators are indicated. In addition, a Riesz transform model is developed and investigated.

     

Asymptotic approximation of functions and their derivatives by Müller’s Gamma operators

We obtain the complete asymptotic expansion of the image functions of Müller’s Gamma operators and of their derivatives. All expansion coefficients are explicitly calculated. Moreover, we study linear combinations of Gamma operators having a better degree of approximation than the operators themselves. Using divided differences we define general classes of linear combinations of which special cases were recently introduced and investigated by other authors.     

Symmetric Hilbert spaces arising from species of structures

Symmetric Hilbert spaces such as the bosonic and the fermionic Fock spaces over some lsquo;one particle space’ are formed by certain symmetrization procedures performed on the full Fock space. We investigate alternative ways of symmetrization by building on Joyal's notion of a combinatorial species. Any such species F gives rise to an endofunctor of the category of Hilbert spaces with contractions mapping a Hilbert space to a symmetric Hilbert space with the same symmetry as the species F. A general framework for annihilation and creation operators on these spaces is developed, and compared to the generalised Brownian motions of R. Speicher and M. Bożejko. As a corollary we find that the commutation relation with admits a realization on a symmetric Hilbert space whenever f has a power series with infinite radius of convergence and positive coefficients. The complete asymptotic expansion of power means in terms of Bell polynomials is obtained. Some results recently obtained by M. Bjelica are generalized.     

Some remarks on the behaviour of the solution in dynamic processes for rate-type models

This work examines a dynamic problem in the study of semilinear rate-type models for which the plastic rate of deformation depends also on a parameter . The continuous dependence of the solution with respect to is obtained and the problem of finite time stability is also discussed. In the case when is interpreted as the absolute temperature, the dynamic problem is studied in the context of a Cattaneo-type heat law and also using the classical Fourier law. In the case when is interpreted as an internal state variable an existence and uniqueness result is obtained using a fixed point method and the finite time stability is also investigated.
