Calculations on electronic structure of the perinaphthenyl radical and phenalenyl derivative radicals responsible for the composition of the ESR spectrum of marine diesel under heating were performed to obtain support for the experimental ESR results. The parameters calculated were the hyperfine coupling constants (A), which were then used for comparison with the experimental data. The energy‐minimized structures were obtained using the density functional theory method. In all cases, the symmetry system was taken into account in theoretical calculations. The differences between experimental and theoretical values were below 7% for nearest hydrogens in molecules, named hyperfine coupling constant A (first neighbors) and 18% for farthest hydrogens atoms named hyperfine coupling constants A′ (second neighbors), for all structures analyzed. Lithium salt solutions of Li(CF3SO2)2N, LiTFSI, in a room-temperature ionic liquid (RTIL), 1-butyl-2,3-dimethyl-imidazolium cation, BMMI, and the (CF3SO2)2N(-), bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide anion, [BMMI][TFSI], were prepared in different concentrations. Thermal properties, density, viscosity, ionic conductivity, and self-diffusion coefficients were determined at different temperatures for pure [BMMI][TFSI] and the lithium solutions. Raman spectroscopy measurements and computer simulations were also carried out in order to understand the microscopic origin of the observed changes in transport coefficients. Slopes of Walden plots for conductivity and fluidity, and the ratio between the actual conductivity and the Nernst-Einstein estimate for conductivity, decrease with increasing LiTFSI content. All of these studies indicated the formation of aggregates of different chemical nature, as it is corroborated by the Raman spectra. In addition, molecular dynamics (MD) simulations showed that the coordination of Li+ by oxygen atoms of TFSI anions changes with Li+ concentration producing a remarkable change of the RTIL structure with a concomitant reduction of diffusion coefficients of all species in the solutions.  相似文献

Cholesterylbutyrate (Chol-but) was chosen as a prodrug of butyric acid. Butyrate is not often used in vivo because its half-life is very short and therefore too large amounts of the drug would be necessary for its efficacy. In the last few years butyric acid's anti-inflammatory properties and its inhibitory activity towards histone deacetylases have been widely studied, mainly in vitro. Solid Lipid Nanoparticles (SLNs), whose lipid matrix is Chol-but, were prepared to evaluate the delivery system of Chol-but as a prodrug and to test its efficacy in vitro and in vivo. Chol-but SLNs were prepared using the microemulsion method; their average diameter is on the order of 100-150 nm and their shape is spherical. The antineoplastic effects of Chol-but SLNs were assessed in vitro on different cancer cell lines and in vivo on a rat intracerebral glioma model. The anti-inflammatory activity was evaluated on adhesion of polymorphonuclear cells to vascular endothelial cells. In the review we will present data on Chol-but SLNs in vitro and in vivo experiments, discussing the possible utilisation of nanoparticles for the delivery of prodrugs for neoplastic and chronic inflammatory diseases.  相似文献

The coordination of the N,N ligands 2,2-bipyridine (bipy) and 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) to Ga(III) has been investigated via the formation of new ionic hexacoordinated complexes of general formula [Q'(2)Ga(N,N)][X], where HQ' stands for 2-methyl-8-hydroxyquinoline and the counter anion X(-) is nitrate (NO(3)(-)) or hexafluorophosphate (PF(6)(-)). All synthesized complexes were characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The geometry of the Ga(III) cations is octahedral and a single geometric isomer (all N, N trans conformation) has been obtained in all cases. The role of both the N,N ligand and the counter anion has been investigated in the formation of the crystal supramolecular motifs occurring in the 3D-crystal networks of these new class of ionic Ga(III) derivatives. A full investigation of the photophysical properties of the new synthesized ionic species is reported and discussed in relation to their crystalline packing and the degree of crystallinity of thin solid films as well as the nature of the N,N ligand and the counter anion.  相似文献

Two novel amphiphilic unimers containing an aliphatic hydrophobic chain (PDA) with two C≡C triple bonds and hydrophilic heads presenting the chelating agent DTPAGlu and the CCK8 bioactive peptide, respectively, have been prepared by solid phase synthesis. Aggregates obtained by mixing together PDA-DTPAGlu, or its Gd(III) complex, and PDA-L2-CCK8 in 70/30 molar ratio before and after a polymerization process carried out by UV irradiation have been structurally characterized by means of small angle neutron scattering. The relaxivity properties of aggregates containing Gadolinium complexes have also been investigated. Elongated mixed micelles have been observed, in which the relaxivity value r 1p for each Gadolinium complex, measured at 20 MHz and 298 K, is around 12 mM–1 s–1.  相似文献

The Gd(III) complexes of three new octadentate chelators, prepared by substitution of four, two, and one carboxylate groups of EGTA with phosphonate groups, have been investigated by 1H and 17O NMR relaxometric techniques in aqueous solutions. The analysis of the solvent proton relaxivity data as a function of pH, temperature, and magnetic field strength (nuclear magnetic relaxation dispersion (NMRD) profiles) in combination with the 17O transverse relaxation rate data at variable temperature allowed assessing the hydration state of the complexes, the occurrence of pH-dependent oligomerization processes for the tetraphosphonate derivative, the presence of a well-defined second sphere of hydration that markedly contributes to the relaxivity, and the values of the structural and dynamic relaxation parameters. In addition, in the case of the monophosphonate derivative the presence of a coordinated water molecule has allowed evaluation of the kinetic parameters of the exchange process, highly relevant for the possible use of this Gd(III) complex as an MRI probe. The rate of exchange of the water molecule, (298)k(ex) = 4.2 x 10(8)s(-1), is one of the highest measured so far for a nonacoordinate Gd(III) chelate and optimal for developing contrast-enhancing probes of high efficacy at high magnetic fields.  相似文献

We report on the effects of water activity and surrounding viscosity on electron transfer reactions taking place within a membrane protein: the reaction center (RC) from the photosynthetic bacterium Rhodobacter sphaeroides. We measured the kinetics of charge recombination between the primary photoxidized donor (P(+)) and the reduced quinone acceptors. Water activity (aW) and viscosity (eta) have been tuned by changing the concentration of cosolutes (trehalose, sucrose, glucose, and glycerol) and the temperature. The temperature dependence of the rate of charge recombination between the reduced primary quinone, Q(A)(-), and P(+) was found to be unaffected by the presence of cosolutes. At variance, the kinetics of charge recombination between the reduced secondary quinone (Q(B)(-)) and P(+) was found to be severely influenced by the presence of cosolutes and by the temperature. Results collected over a wide eta-range (2 orders of magnitude) demonstrate that the rate of P(+)Q(B)(-) recombination is uncorrelated to the solution viscosity. The kinetics of P(+)Q(B)(-) recombination depends on the P(+)Q(A)(-)Q(B) <--> P(+)Q(A)Q(B)(-) equilibrium constant. Accordingly, the dependence of the interquinone electron transfer equilibrium constant on T and aW has been explained by assuming that the transfer of one electron from Q(A)(-) to Q(B) is associated with the release of about three water molecules by the RC. This implies that the interquinone electron transfer involves at least two RC substates differing in the stoichiometry of interacting water molecules.  相似文献

High relaxivity macromolecular contrast agents based on the conjugation of gadolinium chelates to the interior and exterior surfaces of MS2 viral capsids are assessed. The proton nuclear magnetic relaxation dispersion (NMRD) profiles of the conjugates show up to a 5-fold increase in relaxivity, leading to a peak relaxivity (per Gd3+ ion) of 41.6 mM(-1) s(-1) at 30 MHz for the internally modified capsids. Modification of the exterior was achieved through conjugation to flexible lysines, while internal modification was accomplished by conjugation to relatively rigid tyrosines. Higher relaxivities were obtained for the internally modified capsids, showing that (i) there is facile diffusion of water to the interior of capsids and (ii) the rigidity of the linker attaching the complex to the macromolecule is important for obtaining high relaxivity enhancements. The viral capsid conjugated gadolinium hydroxypyridonate complexes appear to possess two inner-sphere water molecules (q = 2), and the NMRD fittings highlight the differences in the local motion for the internal (tauRl = 440 ps) and external (tauRl = 310 ps) conjugates. These results indicate that there are significant advantages of using the internal surface of the capsids for contrast agent attachment, leaving the exterior surface available for the installation of tissue targeting groups.  相似文献

The uptake of ascorbate by neuroblastoma cells using a ruthenium oxide hexacyanoferrate (RuOHCF)-modified carbon fiber disc (CFD) microelectrode (r = 14.5 microm) was investigated. By use of the proposed electrochemical sensor the amperometric determination of ascorbate was performed at 0.0 V in minimum essential medium (MEM, pH = 7.2) with a limit of detection of 25 micromol L(-1). Under the optimum experimental conditions, no interference from MEM constituents and reduced glutathione (used to prevent the oxidation of ascorbate during the experiments) was noticed. The stability of the RuOHCF-modified electrode response was studied by measuring the sensitivity over an extended period of time (120 h), a decrease of around 10% being noticed at the end of the experiment. The rate of ascorbate uptake by control human neuroblastoma SH-SY5Y cells, and cells transfected with wild-type Cu,Zn-superoxide dismutase (SOD WT) or with a mutant typical of familial amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (SOD G93A), was in agreement with the level of oxidative stress in these cells. The usefulness of the RuOHCF-modified microelectrode for in vivo monitoring of ascorbate inside neuroblastoma cells was also demonstrated.  相似文献
