Since the publication of Gillespie’s direct method, diverse methods have been developed to improve the performance of stochastic simulation methods and to enter the spatial realm. In this paper we discuss a spatial τ-leaping variant (Sτ) that extends the basic leap method. Sτ takes reaction and both outgoing and incoming diffusion events into account when calculating a leap candidate. A performance analysis shall reveal details on the achieved success in balancing speed and accuracy in comparison to other methods. However, performance analysis of spatial stochastic algorithms requires significant effort — it is crucial to choose suitable (benchmark) models and to carefully define model and simulation setups that take problem and simulation design spaces into account. 相似文献

The accurate experimental determination of dipolar-coupling constants for one-bond heteronuclear dipolar couplings in solids is a key for the quantification of the amplitudes of motional processes. Averaging of the dipolar coupling reports on motions on time scales up to the inverse of the coupling constant, in our case tens of microseconds. Combining dipolar-coupling derived order parameters that characterize the amplitudes of the motion with relaxation data leads to a more precise characterization of the dynamical parameters and helps to disentangle the amplitudes and the time scales of the motional processes, which impact relaxation rates in a highly correlated way. Here. we describe and characterize an improved experimental protocol--based on REDOR--to measure these couplings in perdeuterated proteins with a reduced sensitivity to experimental missettings. Because such effects are presently the dominant source of systematic errors in experimental dipolar-coupling measurements, these compensated experiments should help to significantly improve the precision of such data. A detailed comparison with other commonly used pulse sequences (T-MREV, phase-inverted CP, R18(2)(5), and R18(1)(7)) is provided. 相似文献

The charge-density-wave phase of TiSe(2) was studied by angle-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy and resistivity measurements investigating the influence of the band gap size and of a varying population of the conduction band. A gradual suppression of the charge-density-wave-induced electronic superstructure is observed for a variation of the band gap in the ternary compounds TiC(x)Se(2-x) with C=(S,Te) as well as for an occupation of only the conduction band by H(2)O adsorption-induced band bending. These observations point to an optimum band gap and support an excitonic driving force for the charge-density wave. 相似文献

Reconstruction of dynamic contrast enhanced magnetic resonance imaging of the breast with temporal constraints 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
A number of methods using temporal and spatial constraints have been proposed for reconstruction of undersampled dynamic magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) data. The complex data can be constrained or regularized in a number of different ways, for example, the time derivative of the magnitude and phase image voxels can be constrained separately or jointly. Intuitively, the performance of different regularizations will depend on both the data and the chosen temporal constraints. Here, a complex temporal total variation (TV) constraint was compared to the use of separate real and imaginary constraints, and to a magnitude constraint alone. Projection onto Convex Sets (POCS) with a gradient descent method was used to implement the diverse temporal constraints in reconstructions of DCE MRI data. For breast DCE data, serial POCS with separate real and imaginary TV constraints was found to give relatively poor results while serial/parallel POCS with a complex temporal TV constraint and serial POCS with a magnitude-only temporal TV constraint performed well with an acceleration factor as large as R=6. In the tumor area, the best method was found to be parallel POCS with complex temporal TV constraint. This method resulted in estimates for the pharmacokinetic parameters that were linearly correlated to those estimated from the fully-sampled data, with Ktrans,R=6=0.97 Ktrans,R=1+0.00 with correlation coefficient r=0.98, kep,R=6=0.95 kep,R=1+0.00 (r=0.85). These results suggest that it is possible to acquire highly undersampled breast DCE-MRI data with improved spatial and/or temporal resolution with minimal loss of image quality. 相似文献

Thin films of a photodecomposible triazene polymer are used as sacrificial layer for the micro-deposition of sensitive materials by laser-induced forward transfer. To understand the ablation process of this sacrificial layer, the ultraviolet laser ablation of triazene films was investigated by time-resolved shadowgraphy. Irradiation from the film side shows a complete decomposition into gaseous fragments, while ablation through the substrate causes ejection of a solid flyer of polymer. The occurence of the flyer depends on the film thickness as well as on the applied fluence, and a compact flyer is obtaind when these two parameters are optimized. 相似文献
