We consider the Griffith fracture model in two spatial dimensions, and prove existence of strong minimizers, with closed jump set and continuously differentiable deformation fields. One key ingredient, which is the object of the present paper, is a generalization to the vectorial situation of the decay estimate by De Giorgi, Carriero, and Leaci. This is based on replacing the coarea formula by a method to approximate SBDp functions with small jump set by Sobolev functions, and is restricted to two dimensions. The other two ingredients will appear in companion papers and consist respectively in regularity results for vectorial elliptic problems of the elasticity type and in a method to approximate in energy GSBDp functions by SBVp ones.  相似文献

The feasibility pump (FP) has proved to be an effective method for finding feasible solutions to mixed integer programming problems. FP iterates between a rounding procedure and a projection procedure, which together provide a sequence of points alternating between LP feasible but fractional solutions, and integer but LP infeasible solutions. The process attempts to minimize the distance between consecutive iterates, producing an integer feasible solution when closing the distance between them. We investigate the benefits of enhancing the rounding procedure with a clever integer line search that efficiently explores a large set of integer points. An extensive computational study on benchmark instances demonstrates the efficacy of the proposed approach.  相似文献

This paper deals with a remarkable integrable discretization of the so (3) Euler top introduced by Hirota and Kimura. Such a discretization leads to an explicit map, whose integrability has been understood by finding two independent integrals of motion and a solution in terms of elliptic functions. Our goal is the construction of its Hamiltonian formulation. After giving a simplified and streamlined presentation of their results, we provide a bi‐Hamiltonian structure for this discretization, thus proving its integrability in the standard Liouville‐Arnold sense (© 2010 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. The purpose of this paper is to prove local upper and lower bounds for weak solutions of semilinear elliptic equations of the form ???u =?cu p , with 0 < p < p s = (d + 2)/(d - 2), defined on bounded domains of ${{\mathbb{R}^d}, d \geq 3}$ , without reference to the boundary behaviour. We define a 2-category structure (Pre-Orb) on the category of reduced complex orbifold atlases. We construct a 2-functor F from (Pre-Orb) to the 2-category (Grp) of proper étale effective groupoid objects over the complex manifolds. Both on (Pre-Orb) and (Grp) there are natural equivalence relations on objects: (a natural extension of) equivalence of orbifold atlases on (Pre-Orb) and Morita equivalence in (Grp). We prove that F induces a bijection between the equivalence classes of its source and target.  相似文献
