The reaction of Re2(CO)8[mu-eta2-C(H)=C(H)Bu(n)](mu-H) with Ph3SnH at 68 degrees C yielded the new compound Re2(CO)8(mu-SnPh2)2 (10) which contains two SnPh2 ligands bridging two Re(CO)(4) groups, joined by an unusually long Re-Re bond. Fenske-Hall molecular orbital calculations indicate that the bonding in the Re2Sn2 cluster is dominated by strong Re-Sn interactions and that the Re-Re interactions are weak. The 119Sn M?ssbauer spectrum of 10 exhibits a doublet with an isomer shift (IS) of 1.674(12) mm s(-1) and a quadrupole splitting (QS) of 2.080(12) mm s(-1) at 90 K,characteristic of Sn(IV) in a SnA2B2 environment. The IS is temperature dependent, -1.99(14) x 10(-4) mm s(-1) K(-1); the QS is temperature independent. The temperature-dependent properties are consistent with the known Gol'danskii-Kariagin effect. The germanium compound Re2(CO)8(mu-GePh2)2 (11) was obtained from the reaction of Re2(CO)8[mu-eta2-C(H)=C(H)Bu(n)](mu-H) with Ph3GeH. Compound 11 has a structure similar to that of 10. The reaction of 10 with Pd(PBu(t)3)2 at 25 degrees C yielded the bis-Pd(PBu(t)3) adduct, Re2(CO)8(mu-SnPh2)2[Pd(PBu(t)3)]2 (12); it has two Pd(PBu(t)3) groups bridging two of the four Re-Sn bonds in 10. Fenske-Hall molecular orbital calculations show that the Pd(PBu(t)3) groups form three-center two-electron bonds with the neighboring rhenium and tin atoms. The mono- and bis-Pt(PBu(t)3) adducts, Re2(CO)8(mu-SnPh2(2)[Pt(PBu(t)3)] (13) and Re2(CO)8(mu-SnPh2)2[Pt(PBu(t)3)]2 (14), were formed when 10 was treated with Pt(PBu(t)3)2. A mono adduct of 11, Re2(CO)8(mu-GePh2)2[Pt(PBu(t)3)] (15), was obtained similarly from the reaction of 11 with Pt(PBu(t)3)2. 相似文献
Integration between a hand-held mass spectrometry desorption probe based on picosecond infrared laser technology (PIRL-MS) and an optical surgical tracking system demonstrates in situ tissue pathology from point-sampled mass spectrometry data. Spatially encoded pathology classifications are displayed at the site of laser sampling as color-coded pixels in an augmented reality video feed of the surgical field of view. This is enabled by two-way communication between surgical navigation and mass spectrometry data analysis platforms through a custom-built interface. Performance of the system was evaluated using murine models of human cancers sampled in situ in the presence of body fluids with a technical pixel error of 1.0 ± 0.2 mm, suggesting a 84% or 92% (excluding one outlier) cancer type classification rate across different molecular models that distinguish cell-lines of each class of breast, brain, head and neck murine models. Further, through end-point immunohistochemical staining for DNA damage, cell death and neuronal viability, spatially encoded PIRL-MS sampling is shown to produce classifiable mass spectral data from living murine brain tissue, with levels of neuronal damage that are comparable to those induced by a surgical scalpel. This highlights the potential of spatially encoded PIRL-MS analysis for in vivo use during neurosurgical applications of cancer type determination or point-sampling in vivo tissue during tumor bed examination to assess cancer removal. The interface developed herein for the analysis and the display of spatially encoded PIRL-MS data can be adapted to other hand-held mass spectrometry analysis probes currently available.Integration between a hand-held mass spectrometry desorption probe based on picosecond infrared laser technology (PIRL-MS) and an optical surgical tracking system demonstrates in situ tissue pathology from point-sampled mass spectrometry data.相似文献
Long term stability of organic selenium compounds (selenocystine, selenomethionine, trimethylselenonium ion) has been studied
over a one year period for 2 analyte concentrations: 25 and 150 μg/L Se, at pH 4.5 in the dark, under different storage conditions:
temperature of –20°C, 4°C, 20°C, 40°C; in Pyrex, Teflon, or polyethylene containers; in an aqueous matrix or in the presence
of a chromatographic counter ion (pentyl sulfonate at 10–4 mol/L concentration). Light effects have also been tested. The stability of the selenium species was monitored by HPLC-ICP/MS.
Storage conditions can drastically alter the stability of organic selenium species. Organoselenium compounds were shown to
be stable in the dark over a one year period in an aqueous matrix at pH 4.5 in Pyrex containers at both 4°C and 20°C. Pyrex
vials exposed to natural sunlight at room temperature resulted in a steady decrease of the selenoamino acid concentration.
Teflon containers caused losses of less than 25% at both 4° C and 20° C in the dark. However, polyethylene vials presented,
at all temperatures tested, a rapid decrease of the TMSe+ concentration. The stability of the Se species studied did not show significant differences between 4° C and 20° C in any
container material used. Storage of solutions at 40° C led to slight differences between the Pyrex and Teflon containers.
However, polyethylene presented a drastic decrease of the three species over time at this higher temperature. Solutions frozen
at –20° C in polyethylene vials did not stabilize the TMSe+ signal. Finally, concentrations and matrices of the samples did not significantly affect the stability of the species.

Parameters for the reduction of Se(VI) to Se(IV) in HCl medium by heating in a microwave oven have been optimized. The reduction
resulted to be quantitative applying 100% power, corresponding to 600 W heating for 2 min in 6 mol/L or for 3 min in 4 mol/L
HCl. The behavior of selenomethionine and selenocystine under the optimized reduction conditions was studied in order to evaluate
a possible interference of these selenium species in the determination of Se(VI). The final determination of Se(IV), and Se(VI)
were done by hydride generation-atomic absorption spectrometry. The analytical merits of the method are reported. The method
was applied to the selective determination of Se(IV), and Se(VI) in spiked river and lake water.

Plasminogen is the primary zymogen in the fibrinolytic pathway, and its primary function involves degradation of fibrin. Biomaterials often show adsorption of fibrinogen and subsequent formation of fibrin. Plasminogen's function in vivo could be adapted to facilitate its activation and fibrinolytic function on a biomaterial surface. In order to elucidate plasminogen function adsorbed to a model fibrinolytic surface ligands known to affect plasminogen properties in solution were attached to model silica surfaces to study the effects of immobilized ligands as fibrinolytic activators. Model silica surfaces were synthesized which contained covalently attached lysine moieties (surface I), sulfonate moieties (surface II) or a combination of both (surface III). Lysine moieties on these model surfaces interact specifically with multiple lysine-binding sites of plasminogen and induce a number of changes in conformation and function. Sulfonate moieties interact non-specifically with accessible lysine and arginine residues of plasminogen and also affect the function of plasminogen. Inherent physico-chemical properties monitored following plasminogen adsorption were activation to plasmin, enzymatic activity, fluorescent intensity, and fluorescent polarization, monitored by total internal reflection fluorescence, each of which are affected by plasminogen conformation.
Correlations were as follows: increased fluorescent intensity and decreased fluorescent polarization were indicative of plasminogen conformational changes and are correlated to increased enzymatic activity of plasmin. Surfaces I and III showed a 20% increase in fluorescent intensity, and a 25% and 8% decrease in fluorescent polarization, respectively, in comparison to surface II. The specific activity for surfaces I and III was increased 11.3 and 1.8 fold above that found for surface II. Plasminogen incubated with sulfonate groups in solution resulted in no increase in fluorescent intensity and a slight decrease in fluorescent polarization as compared with plasminogen alone and reduced specific activity of plasmin in the presence of sulfonate as compared with plasmin alone. Lysine or ε-aminocaproic acid (ACA) incubated with plasmin in solution showed a 30% and 10% increase in fluorescent intensity, a 24% and 5% decrease in fluorescent intensity, and maximum specific activity increased 3.6 and 2.5 fold, respectively, over plasminogen alone.
Interactions of plasminogen with ligands for its lysine-binding sites produced dramatic effects both in solution and adsorbed to model fibrinolytic surfaces. The characterization of these interactions along with known fibrin interactions will allow selection of appropriate surface modifications to enhance the fibrinolysis of thrombus formed at a biomaterial interface. These modifications may lead to a native-like surface structure to protein and cellular components of blood and create a more biocompatible surface. 相似文献
Construction of 5-membered oxygen heterocycles by intramolecular template-directed C-glycosidation is described. Alkylation of thioglycoside 5 with enone 6 followed by enol etherification gave cyclization substrates 8. Compound 8a underwent silver(I) trifluoromethanesulfonate-mediated ring-closure to give a 1.7:1 mixture of 9 and 9β; isomer 8s gave an 8.5:1 ratio. Some derivatization reactions of the bicyclic products are described. 相似文献
An automated analysis system is described for the measurement of hydrogen peroxide based on a chemiluminescence reaction with phenyl 10-methylacridinium-9-carboxylate (PMAC). A reversed FIA experimental arrangement is used to establish the operating conditions for the measurement of submicromolar levels of hydrogen peroxide. The carrier stream consists of hydrogen peroxide standards prepared in a pH 9.0, boric acid buffer and the flow rate for this carrier/sample stream is 4 ml/min. Twenty microliters of a 10 mM PMAC solution, prepared in a pH 3 phosphate buffer, are injected into the carrier/sample stream. Hydrogen peroxide mixes with the PMAC reagent in an incubation coil that is constructed by wrapping 107 cm of polyethylene tubing around a 1 cm o.d. plastic rod. The chemiluminescence reaction is then initiated by adding base just before the sample passes in front of a photomultiplier tube (PMT) detector. The calculated limit of detection (S/N = 3) for hydrogen peroxide is 0.25 M. In addition, the pH dependent hydrolysis of the PMAC reagent is characterized by an HPLC method which has been specifically developed for the separation and detection of the hydrolysis products of PMAC. Results indicate that a pH of 3.0 is required for long term stability of the PMAC reagent. Finally, this system has been successfully extended to the measurement of glutamate by coupling a bioreactor column of glutamate oxidase with the hydrogen peroxide detection scheme. A detection limit (S/N = 3) of 0.5 M has been established for glutamate with a throughput of 200 samples per hour. 相似文献

The kinetics of the oxidation of benzyl alcohol by potassium chlorochromate, KCrClO3, has been studied in dimethyl sulfoxide-dichloromethane medium. The reaction is catalyzed by acid. The effects of temperature and solvent composition were studied and activation parameters evaluated. Probable mechanisms are discussed.
The interactions between oppositely charged surfactant/polymer mixtures have been studied using conductivity and turbidity measurements. The dependence of aggregation phenomenon on the chain length and head group modifications of conventional cationic surfactants, i.e., hexadecyl- (HTAB), tetradecyl- (TTAB), and dodecyltrimethylammonium bromides (DTAB) and dimeric cationic surfactants, i.e., decyl- (DeDGB) and dodecyldimethylgemini bromides (DDGB), is investigated. It was observed that cationic surfactants induce cooperative binding with anionic polyelectrolytes at critical aggregation concentration (cac). The cac values are considerably lower than the critical micelle concentration (cmc) values for the same surfactant. After the complete complexation, free micelles are formed at the apparent critical micelle concentration (acmc), which is slightly higher in aqueous polyelectrolyte than in pure water. Among the conventional and dimeric cationic surfactants, DTAB and DeDGB, respectively, have been found to have least interactions with oppositely charged polyelectrolytes. 相似文献
