The distribution of different aliphatic and aromatic amines: n-butylamine (n-BA), isobutylamine (i-BA), tert-butylamine (t-BA), piperidine (PIP), N,N-dimethylaniline (DMA) and N-methylaniline (MA) in water/sodium 1,4-bis(2-ethylhexyl)sulfosuccinate(AOT)/n-hexane reverse micelles was investigated by steady-state fluorescence measurements. The partition constants were measured by an indirect method based on the effect that amine partitioning exert on the bimolecular rate of the reaction between a microphase incorporated fluorophore (Ru(bpy)2+(3)) and the quencher, (Fe(CN)3-(6)). For MA, that can act as a quencher of the fluorophore a direct method was used. The results show that primary amines have larger partition constants than the secondary ones. For tertiary amines the distribution constants were practically negligible. Laser flash photolysis experiments confirmed that tertiary amines, both aliphatic and aromatic, are not incorporated to the micellar pseudophase. The effect of the amine structure on the partition constant was analyzed through linear solvation free energy relationships (LSER) using solute parameters and compared with those obtained for alcohols. Hydrogen bond interactions with the AOT polar heads appear to be the main driving force for the distribution of amines between the organic and micellar pseudophases, whereas the size of the alkyl or aromatic group tends to hinder it.  相似文献

The results of studies described in this report show that irradiation of 1,2-cyclopenta-fused pyridinium perchlorate in aqueous base promotes a remarkably regioselective photocyclization reaction that results in exclusive formation of a single tricyclic allylic alcohol. Moreover, transformation of this photoproduct to a spirocyclic amido diester followed by enzymatic desymmetrization produces an enantiomerically pure monoalcohol. This chemistry comprises a highly concise sequence for the preparation of what should become a useful synthon in synthetic organic chemistry.  相似文献

Photoinduced electron transfer (PET) processes of 1,8-naphthalimide-linker-phenothiazine (NI-L-PTZ) dyads have been investigated using the nanosecond- and picosecond-transient absorption measurements. Two kinds of linker were introduced, i.e., polymethylene-linked dyad (NI-C8-PTZ and NI-C11-PTZ) and a poly(ethyl ether)-linked one (NI-O-PTZ). The 355 nm pulsed laser excitation of NI-C8-PTZ, NI-C11-PTZ, and NI-O-PTZ in acetonitrile produced NI radical anion (NI*-) and PTZ radical cation (PTZ*+) with the absorption bands around 420 and 520 nm, respectively, through charge transfer from PTZ to NI in the singlet excited state (NI(S1)) as well as in the triplet excited states (NI(T1)) in acetonitrile. On the other hand, the charge transfer process occurred only from NI(S1) in nonpolar solvents. The rates of charge transfer and charge recombination processes largely depended on the solvent polarity and they are affected by the length of linkers and electronic coupling through polyether linker. The PET mechanism is discussed in terms of the free energy change for the charge transfer.  相似文献

Samples of a nematic mixture of ZLI1132 and of a twisted nematic mixture composed of ZLI1132 and chiral inductor S811, including 1%-10% (w/w) 4-N,N-dimethylaminoazobenzene (DAB), (4'-nitro)-4-N,N-dimethylaminoazobenzene (NDAB), spiropyran (SP), or spirooxazine (SO) were irradiated to produce the photochromic transformation of the dopant. The changes in the system were monitored by time-resolved transmission spectroscopy, time-resolved birefringence, or polarized Raman scattering. The medium sensitivity of the kinetics and spectroscopy of some of the probes was used to derive information on polarity of the medium. In the systems studied, apart from the changes in absorption spectrum, great changes in birefringence can be photoinduced and the order of the nematic phase can be changed in either direction, depending on the dopant. The open form of SP can discriminate orientation polarity. Although the polarity parallel to the mesogenic director is similar to that for acetone, the perpendicular orientation has a polarity similar to acetonitrile. In agreement with this observation, the kinetics of the Z --> E isomerization of NDAB, oriented parallel to the mesogenic director, also experiences a polarity similar to that for acetone. The decay rate constant of the open form of SP displays a linear relationship between its Arrhenius parameters, which is universal in a great variety of homogeneous solvents, solvent mixtures, and liquid crystals, therefore validating the hypothesis that the same type of transformation is observed in all these cases, namely, the decay of the open form monomer. The dopants used have been proven to be adequate probes of bulklike properties in locally heterogeneous systems as liquid crystals.  相似文献
