Starting from the exact evolution of a Markovian dissipative quantum walk, a non-Markovian decoherence of two qubits interacting with a phonon thermal bath has been investigated analytically using quantum information tools. Concurrence and quantum discord are affected in a complex way, showing that entanglement decreases with dissipation. At the limit where dissipation dominates, quantum correlations survive in time as ∝t−1/2t1/2. Thus, even under the influence of dissipation, two qubits retain their quantumness for a long time. Quantum correlations could be therefore observed for a long time in related photonic experiments.  相似文献

In this work we present a systematic study of Japanese sword hand-guards (tsuba) carried out by means of non-invasive techniques using neutrons. Several tsuba from different periods, belonging to the Japanese Section of the Stibbert Museum, were analysed using an innovative approach to characterise the bulk of the samples, coupling two neutron techniques, namely Time of Flight Neutron Diffraction (ToF-ND) and Nuclear Resonance Capture Analysis (NRCA). The measurements were carried out on the same instrument: the INES beam-line at the ISIS spallation pulsed neutron source (UK). NRCA analysis allows identifying the elements present in the sample gauge volume, while neutron diffraction is exploited to quantify the phase distribution and other micro-structural parameters of the metal specimen. The results show that all samples are made of high-quality metal, either steel or copper alloy, with noticeable changes in composition and working techniques, depending on the place and time of manufacturing.  相似文献

We show from first principles the emergence of classical Boltzmann equations from relativistic nonequilibrium quantum field theory as described by the Kadanoff–Baym equations. Our method applies to a generic quantum field, coupled to a collection of background fields and sources, in a homogeneous and isotropic spacetime. The analysis is based on analytical solutions to the full Kadanoff–Baym equations, using the WKB approximation. This is in contrast to previous derivations of kinetic equations that rely on similar physical assumptions, but obtain approximate equations of motion from a gradient expansion in momentum space. We show that the system follows a generalized Boltzmann equation whenever the WKB approximation holds. The generalized Boltzmann equation, which includes off-shell transport, is valid far from equilibrium and in a time dependent background, such as the expanding universe.  相似文献

The present study investigates the nonlinear resonant behavior of a microbeam over its buckled (non-trivial) configuration. The system is assumed to be subjected to an axial load along with a distributed transverse harmonic load. The axial load is increased leading the system to lose the stability via a pitchfork bifurcation; the postbuckling configuration is obtained and the nonlinear resonant response of the system over the buckled state is examined. More specifically, the nonlinear equation of motion is obtained employing Hamilton’s principle along with the modified couple stress theory. The continuous system is truncated into a system with finite degrees of freedom; the Galerkin scheme is employed to discretize the nonlinear partial differential equation of motion into a set of ordinary differential equations. This set of equations is solved numerically employing the pseudo-arclength continuation technique; first a nonlinear static analysis is performed upon this set of equations so as to obtain the onset of buckling (supercritical pitchfork bifurcation) and the buckled configuration of the microbeam. The frequency-response and force-response curves of the system are then constructed over the buckled configurations. A comparison is made between the frequency-response curves obtained by means of the modified couple stress and the classical theories. The effect of different system parameters on the frequency-response and force-response curves is also examined.  相似文献

Eu3+ in ca. 10 wt% europium-exchanged Y-zeolite is partially reduced by treatment in hydrogen at 600°C to Eu2+. The reduction of Eu3+ is more readily achieved in Y-zeolite than in europium(III) oxide. The discrepancy in the extent of reduction as revealed by151Eu Mössbauer spectroscopy and near edge X-ray absorption fine structure (XANES) is associated with any difference in the recoil free fractions of Eu2+ and Eu3+ which may exist at 298 K and the enhanced sensitivity of the XANES to changes in the europium oxidation state.  相似文献

Serial MR imaging of intracranial metastases after radiosurgery   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Purpose: To evaluate the spatiotemporal evolution of radiosurgical induced changes both in metastases and in normal brain tissue adjacent to the lesions by serial magnetic resonance (MR) imaging. Methods and Materials: Thirty-five intracranial metastases of different primaries were treated in 25 patients by single high-dose radiosurgery. MR images acquired before radiosurgery were available in all patients. Sixty-three follow-up MR studies were performed in these patients including T2- and contrast-enhanced T1-weighted MR images. The average follow-up time was 9 ± 5 months (mean ± standard deviation [SD]). Based on contrast-enhanced T1-weighted MR images, tumor response was radiologically classified in the following four groups: stable disease was assumed if the average tumor diameter after treatment did not show a tumor shrinkage of more than 50% and an increase of more than 25%, partial remission as a shrinkage of tumor size of more than 50%, a disappearance of contrast-enhancing tumor as a complete remission, and an increase of tumor diameter of more than 25% as tumor progress. Moreover, we analysed signal changes on T2-weighted images in brain parenchyma adjacent to the enhancing metastases. Results: The overall mean survival time was 10.5 ± 7 months, with a 1-year actuarial survival rate of 40%. Stable disease, partial or complete remission of the metastatic tumor was observed in 22 patients (88%). Central or homogeneous loss of contrast enhancement appeared to be a good prognostic sign for stable disease or partial remission. This association was statistically significant (p < 0.05). Three patients (12%) suffered from tumor progression. In eight patients (32%) with stable disease or partial remission, signal changes on T2-weighted images were observed in tissue adjacent to the contrast enhancing lesions. A progression of the high signal on T2-weighted images was seen in seven of the eight patients between 3 and 6 months after therapy, followed by a signal regression 6–18 months after irradiation. Conclusion: MR imaging is a sensitive imaging tool to evaluate tumor response as well as the presence or absence of adjacent parenchymal changes following radiosurgery. Loss of homogeneous or central contrast enhancement on Gd-enhanced MR images appeared to be a good prognostic sign for tumor response. Tumor shrinkage seems not to be dependent on time. In addition, most cases of radiation induced changes in normal brain parenchyma observed on T2-weighted images seem to be self limited.  相似文献

We address the problem of the separation of variables for the Hamilton–Jacobi equation within the theoretical scheme of bi-Hamiltonian geometry. We use the properties of a special class of bi-Hamiltonian manifolds, called N manifolds, to give intrisic tests of separability (and Stäckel separability) for Hamiltonian systems. The separation variables are naturally associated with the geometrical structures of the N manifold itself. We apply these results to bi-Hamiltonian systems of the Gel'fand–Zakharevich type and we give explicit procedures to find the separated coordinates and the separation relations.  相似文献

We report here on the characterisation by temperature programmed reduction, 57Fe Mössbauer spectroscopy and X-ray absorption spectroscopy of the phases resulting from treatment of the perovskite-related material La0.5Sr0.5Fe0.5Co0.5O3 in a flowing 90% hydrogen/10% nitrogen atmosphere. The results show that treatment of La0.5Sr0.5Fe0.5Co0.5O3 (which contains approximately 50% Fe4+ and 50% Fe3+) in the flowing 90% hydrogen/10% nitrogen atmosphere at 600°C does not result in the reduction of any of the constituent elements of the material and that the perovskite structure is still retained. The Mössbauer spectrum recorded following heating in the gaseous reducing environment at 1,000°C shows the presence of metallic iron, an Fe3+-containing phase with parameters compatible with the presence of SrLaFeO4 which has a K2NiF4-type structure, and a paramagnetic Fe3+ phase. The X-ray absorption spectroscopy results show the presence of metallic cobalt. The Mössbauer spectrum recorded following heating at 1,200°C continues to show the Fe3+-containing components plus a larger contribution from metallic iron. The X-ray absorption spectroscopy results show the presence of metallic cobalt, SrLaFeO4, La2O3 and SrO.  相似文献
