An experimental system that allows the use of large particle sizes and the simulation of different operating conditions was built to study the thermal decomposition of lignocellulosic materials. The values of solid conversion and of temperature obtained at different points using spherical particles of pine wood 2 cm in diameter are shown. The conversion values are compared with those calculated from the equations obtained in a thermobalance for small particle sizes.  相似文献

The sorption behavior of cobalt and cadmium by zeolite Y has been investigated. Cobalt and cadmium solutions were exchanged with the zeolite at different pH's. Cobalt, cadmium and sodium in the samples were determined by neutron activation analysis. The sorption of cadmium was higher than that of cobalt, however, the selectivity for both cations by the zeolite was low.  相似文献

Summary The electrochemical oxidation of anodic metal (nickel or cobalt) in MeCN solutions of 1-hydroxy-2-pyridinethione (HPT) gives [Ni(PT)2], [Co(PT)2] or [Co(PT)3]. When 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) or 2,2-bipyridine (bipy) are added to the electrolytic phase the product is a complex, [Ni(PT)2L] or [Co(PT)2L] (L = bipy or phen). The i.r., u.v. and 1H- and 13C-n.m.r. spectra of the complexes are discussed.This paper was presented at the 5th Inorganic Chemistry Meeting of the Royal Spanish Chemical Society, Tossa de Mar, Girona, Spain, September 1991.  相似文献

The preparation of different samples of vanadia supported on ultrastable zeolite (VO(x)/USY) is discussed. The samples were prepared in order to obtain highly dispersed V-species, avoiding the formation of crystalline vanadia and the destruction of the zeolite framework. Two methods were employed for preparing VO(x)/USY samples: an organic route using V(AcAc)3 and an inorganic route using NH4VO3. The characterization of the samples was performed with XRD, TPR, NH3-TPD, and N2 isotherms. From these results it is concluded that when VO(x) is supported on the surface of USY from acidic aqueous solution of ammonium metavanadate, the destruction of the zeolite framework is accomplished. For higher pH values in the impregnating solution, undesired V2O5 is formed on the USY surface. On the other hand, VO(x)/USY prepared from the organic precursor shows no destruction of the USY structure. In addition, highly dispersed VO(x) are formed, though for relatively high V loadings (6%) an obstruction of the zeolite windows takes place. The samples are tested as catalysts for gas phase dehydrogenation of n-butane to olefins. The catalysts prepared from NH4VO3 are almost inactive for the reaction. On the other hand, both samples prepared from V(AcAc)3 present initial conversion levels in the 8-12% range. However, the selectivity depends on the V loading, the catalysts with 6% loading being the most selective (75%). The catalytic patterns of the samples (activity and selectivity) are in agreement with the physicochemical features of the VO(x)/USY surface.  相似文献

Using a version of density-functional theory which combines Onsager approximation and fundamental-measure theory for spatially nonuniform phases, we have studied the phase diagram of freely rotating hard rectangles and hard discorectangles. We find profound differences in the phase behavior of these models, which can be attributed to their different packing properties. Interestingly, bimodal orientational distribution functions are found in the nematic phase of hard rectangles, which cause a certain degree of biaxial order, albeit metastable with respect to spatially ordered phases. This feature is absent in discorectangles, which always show unimodal behavior. This result may be relevant in the light of recent experimental results which have confirmed the existence of biaxial phases. We expect that some perturbation of the particle shapes (either a certain degree of polydispersity or even bimodal dispersity in the aspect ratios) may actually destabilize spatially ordered phases thereby stabilizing the biaxial phase.  相似文献

Summary Correlations between retention index (RI) and Van der Waals' volume (VW) in homologous series of n-alcohols, n-aldehydes and esters are studied on the stationary phases Carbowax 1540 and squalane. Zinc(II) and cadmium(II) acetates were reacted in methanol under various experimental conditions with thiosemicarbazones derived from beta-keto amides or beta-keto esters (HTSC). Some of these reactions afforded thiosemicarbazonate complexes [M(TSC)2] with IR and NMR spectra compatible with N,S-coordination, but most gave complexes [ML2], where HL is a substituted 2,5-dihydro-5-oxo-1H-pyrazole-1-carbothioamide resulting from cyclization of the HTSC. Some of these pyrazolonates and two of the HL ligands were studied by X-ray diffractometry, and their structures are discussed. Surprisingly, the reactions of zinc(II) acetate with HTSC in 1:1 mol ratio usually gave a third, previously unreported type of complex with a dideprotonated ligand, [Zn(L-H)], which was also formed when [ZnL2] and Zn(OAc)2 interacted at room temperature in 1:1 mol ratio. These L-H complexes are highly insoluble in all common solvents, which hinders their characterization but suggests that they are polymeric in nature.  相似文献
