This paper reports the value of the standard (p(o) = 0.1 MPa) molar enthalpy of formation in the gas phase at T = 298.15 K for barbituric acid. The enthalpies of combustion and sublimation were measured by static bomb combustion calorimetry and transference (transpiration) method in a saturated N2 stream and a gas-phase enthalpy of formation value of -(534.3 +/- 1.7) kJ x mol(-1) was determined at T = 298.15 K. G3-calculated enthalpies of formation are in very good agreement with the experimental value. The behavior of the sample as a function of the temperature was studied by differential scanning calorimetry, and a new polymorph of barbituric acid at high temperature was found. In the solid state, two anhydrous forms are known displaying two out of the six hydrogen-bonding patterns observed in the alkyl/alkenyl derivatives retrieved from the Cambridge Crystallographic Database. The stability of these motifs has been analyzed by theoretical calculations. X-ray powder diffraction technique was used to establish to which polymorphic form corresponds to the commercial sample used in this study and to characterize the new form at high temperature.  相似文献

The standard molar enthalpy of sublimation of monoclinic cyclopentadienyltricarbonylmanganese, Mn(eta (5)-C 5H 5)(CO) 3, at 298.15 K, was determined as Delta sub H m (o)[Mn(eta (5)-C 5H 5)(CO) 3] = 75.97 +/- 0.37 kJ x mol (-1) from Knudsen effusion and Calvet-drop microcalorimetry measurements, thus considerably improving the very large inaccuracy (>10 kJ x mol (-1)) of the published data. The obtained value was used to assess the extension of the OPLS-based all-atom force field we previously developed for iron metallocenes to manganese organometallic compounds. The modified force field was able to reproduce the volumetric properties (density and unit-cell volume) of crystalline Mn(eta (5)-C 5H 5)(CO) 3 with a deviation of 0.6% and the experimentally determined enthalpy of sublimation with an accuracy of 1 kJ x mol (-1). The interaction (epsilon) and atomic-diameter (sigma) parameters of the Lennard-Jones (12-6) potential function used to calculate dispersion contributions within the framework of the force field were found to be transferable from iron to manganese.  相似文献

The geometries of neutral, mono-, and dioxidized tubular aggregates of cyclo[8]thiophenes containing up to 5 repeating units were fully optimized at the MPWB1K/3-21G* level of theory. Calculated interplane distances between macrocycles were found to be close to 3.1 A for neutral and charged aggregates. The binding energies between macrocycles in neutral intermediates were in the range of 40-45 kcal/mol, increasing for monocations and dropping strongly for dicationic species due to electrostatic repulsion between polarons. It was established that there exists a noticeable interaction between pi-orbitals of individual macrocycles in tubular aggregates as follows from decreasing of the band gap with a number of repeating units in aggregates and the polaron delocalization toward tube axes in oxidized species. A polaron pair is the most stable dicationic state for all studied molecules according to the calculations. A singlet polaron pair is more stable than a triplet one. The energy difference between singlet and triplet states is growing smaller with the size of the system, becoming zero for the pentamer corresponding to a completely dissociated bipolaron.  相似文献

Microwave-, photo- and thermo-responsive polymer microgels that range in size from 500 to 800 microm and are swollen with water were prepared by a novel microarray technique. We used a liquid-liquid dispersion technique in a system of three immiscible liquids to prepare hybrid PNIPAm- co-AM core-shell capsules loaded with AuNPs. The spontaneous encapsulation is a result of the formation of double oil-in-water-in-oil (o/w/o) emulsion. It is facilitated by adjusting the balance of the interfacial tensions between the aqueous phase (in which a water-soluble drug may be dissolved), the monomer phase and the continuous phase. The water-in-oil (w/o) droplets containing 26 wt% NIPAm and Am monomers, 0.1 wt% Tween-80 surfactant, FITC fluorescent dye and colloidal gold nanoparticles spontaneously developed a core-shell morphology that was fixed by in situ photopolymerization. The results demonstrate new reversibly swelling and deswelling AuNP/PNIPAm hybrid core-shell microcapsules and microgels that can be actuated by visible light and/or microwave radiation (相似文献

Structural characteristics an cyclic voltammetry of three amperommetric biosensors based on immobilization of tyrosinase on a Sonogel-Carbon electrode for detection of phenols are described. Cyclic voltammetry was applied to study the electrochemical behaviour of the electrode and the electrochemical reaction on the electrode surface. Scanning electron microscopy, X-ray energy dispersive spectroscopy and atomic force microscopy were used for the structure characterization of the electrode surface, enzyme film and polymers coatings. The influence of additive-protective polymers, such as polyethylene glycol and perfluorinated-Nafion ion-exchanger on the surface of the biosensor were explored.  相似文献

The effect that unsaturation has on the intrinsic acidity of boranes, alanes, and gallanes, was analyzed by B3 LYP and CCSD(T)/6-311+G(3df,2p) calculations on methyl-, ethyl-, vinyl-, and ethynylboranes, -alanes and -gallanes, and on the corresponding hydrides XH3. Quite unexpectedly, methylborane, which behaves as a carbon acid, is predicted to have an intrinsic acidity almost 200 kJ mol(-1) stronger than BH3, reflecting the large reinforcement of the C--B bond, which upon deprotonation becomes a double bond through the donation of the lone pair created on the carbon atom into the empty p orbital of the boron. Also unexpectedly, and for the same reason, the saturated and alpha,beta-unsaturated boranes are much stronger acids than the corresponding hydrocarbons, in spite of being carbon acids as well. The Al derivatives also behave as carbon acids, but in this case the most favorable deprotonation process occurs at C beta, leading to the formation of rather stable three-membered rings, again through the donation of the C beta lone pair into the empty p orbital of Al. For Ga-containing compounds the deprotonation of the GaH2 group is the most favorable process. Therefore only Ga derivatives behave similarly to the analogues of Groups 14, 15, and 16 of the periodic table, and the saturated derivatives exhibit a weaker acidity than the unsaturated ones. Within Group 13, boranes are stronger acids than alanes and gallanes. For ethyl and vinyl derivatives, alanes are stronger acids than gallanes. We have shown, for the first time, that acidity enhancement for primary heterocompounds is not only dictated by the position of the heteroatom in the periodic table and the nature of the substituent, but also by the bonding rearrangements triggered by the deprotonation of the neutral acid.  相似文献

Ratiometric fluorescence-based sensors are widely sought after because they can effectively convert even relatively small changes in optical output into a strong and easy-to-read signal. However, ratiometric sensor molecules are usually difficult to make. We present a proof-of-principle experiment that shows that efficient ratiometric sensing may be achieved by an array of two chromophores, one providing an on-to-off response and the second yielding an off-to-on response in a complementary fashion. In the case that both chromophores emit light of different color, the result is a switching of colors that may be utilized in the same way as from a true ratiometric probe. The chromophore array comprises two sensor elements: i) a polyurethane membrane with embedded N-anthracen-9-yl-methyl-N-7-nitrobenzoxa-[1,2,5]diazo-4-yl-N',N'-dimethylethylenediamine hydrochloride and ii) a membrane with N,N-dimethyl-N'-(9-methylanthracenyl)ethylenediamine. A combination of photoinduced electron transfer (PET) and fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) allows for green-to-blue emission switching in the presence of Zn(II) ions. The sensing experiments carried out with different Zn(II) salts at controlled pH revealed that the degree of color switching in the individual sensor elements depends on both the presence of Zn(II) ions and the counter anion. These results suggest that sensing of both cations and anions may perhaps be extended to different cation-anion pairs.  相似文献

The coordination behaviour of a new thiosemicarbazone Schiff-base building block, N-{2-([4-N-ethylthiosemicarbazone]methyl)phenyl}-p-toluenesulfonamide, H2L1 (1), incorporating a bulky tosyl group, towards Mn II, Fe II, Co II, Ni II, Cu II, Zn II, Cd II, Ag I, Sn II, and Pb II has been investigated by means of an electrochemical preparative procedure. Most metal complexes of L1 have the general formula [M(L1)]2.nX (M=Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Cd, Pb; n=0-4, X=H2O or CH3CN), as confirmed by the structure of [Pb(L1)]2 (15), in which the lone pair on lead is stereochemically active. This lead(II) complex shows an intense fluorescence emission with a quantum yield of 0.13. In the case of silver, the complex formed was found to possess a stoichiometry of [Ag2(L1)]2.3H2O. During reactions with manganese and copper metals, interesting catalysed processes have been found to take place, with remarkable consequences regarding the ligand skeleton structure. In synthesising the manganese complex, we obtained an unexpected dithiolate thiosemicarbazone tosyl ligand, H2L2, as a side-product, which has been fully characterised, including by X-ray diffraction analysis. In the case of copper, the solid complex has the formula [CuL1]2, but the crystallised product shows the copper atoms coordinated to a new cyclised thiosemicarbazone ligand, H2L3, as in the structures of the complexes [Cu(L3)]2.CH3CN (8) and [Cu(L3)(H2O)]2.CH3CN.H2O (9). The zinc complex [Zn(L1)]4 (12) displays a particular tetranuclear zeolite-type structure capable of hosting small molecules or ions, presumably through hydrogen bonding.  相似文献

A computational study, in the framework of statistical kinetic theories, of the reaction of Ca2+ with urea has been carried out. The kinetically preferred products are NH3 + [CaOCNH]2+, which are the fifth products in order of stability. The second kinetically preferred products are , followed by [CaNH3]2++HNCO, whereas the most stable ones, and , appear only in residual quantities. These estimates are in agreement with the experimental evidence and provide a suitable mechanism to understand the competition between Coulomb explosion and neutral loss processes.  相似文献
