By incorporating bio-specific receptors, such as p-10,12-pentacosadiyne-1-N-(3,6,9-trioxaundecylamide)-alpha-D-mannopyranoside (MPDA), into 10,12-pentacosadiyonic acid (PDA) monolayer, the MPDA/PDA monolayer underwent affinochromatic transition in response to the bacteria binding to the receptor. Here, we described a new method to study the membrane/macromolececular interaction between Escherichia coli (E. coli) and mannose and its relative affinochromism by modifying MPDA/PDA with CdS nano-crystallites (MPDA/PDA-CdS). CdS not only triggered the strong tropism of the bacteria but also reduced the rigidity of the MPDA/PDA backbone, resulting in the enhanced affinochromism. Structural colors: Poly(N‐isopropyl acrylamide) based microgel photonic crystals are fabricated by using a new method called “high‐temperature‐induced hydrophobic assembly”. The assembling conditions affect the water content of the crystals, thus determining their structural color (see image). The obtained photonic crystals are sensitive to solvents, and the reversible changes in their color can be observed with the naked eye.

A fully deprotonated 2-bromo-1,4-benzenedicarboxylate copper(II) complex, [Cu(bbdc)(2,2′-bipy)](H2O) (bbdc= 2-bromo-1,4-benzenedicarboxylate dianion, 2,2′-bipy=2,2′-bipyridine), was synthesized under hydrothermal conditions.
This compound also can be prepared from the partly deprotonated [Cu(Hbbdc)2(2,2′-bipy)] under basic and hydrothermal conditions. The crystal structure consists of infinite chains of [Cu2(μ4-bbdc)]2+ building blocks connected by bis-monodentate bbdc ligands and exhibits an extended 2-D architecture.

inflammation and asthma. A consensus model consisting of three base classifiers (AODE, kNN, and SVM) trained with 1,283 positive compounds (PI3K inhibitors), 16 negative compounds (PI3K non-inhibitors) and 64,078
generated putative negatives was developed for predicting compounds with PI3K inhibitory activity of IC50 ≤ 10 μM. The consensus model has an estimated false positive rate of 0.75%. Nine novel potential inhibitors were identified
using the consensus model and several of these contain structural features that are consistent with those found to be important
for PI3K inhibitory activities. An advantage of the current model is that it does not require knowledge of 3D structural information

Highly efficient prolinamide-based organocatalysts for the direct asymmetric aldol reaction in brine
Four prolinamide-based organocatalysts were readily synthesized and applied to the direct asymmetric aldol reactions of ketones and aromatic aldehydes in brine. When 2,4-dinitrophenol (DNP) was used as an acidic additive, 1 mol % low loading of 2b afforded aldol products with excellent diastereoselectivity of up to 98/2 dr and high enantioselectivity of up to 97% ee. 相似文献
