This study describes the successful sequential modification of multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) by Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles and 2-mercaptobenzothiazole (MBT) followed by its application as a novel sorbent for simultaneous magnetic solid phase microextraction of lead and cadmium. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy were employed to confirm the chemical surface modification of the MWCNT. The ions retained on the 2-MBT/magnetic nanoparticles modified MWCNTs were eluted with 1.0 mL of nitric acid (0.8 mol L?1) in methanol solution and determined by the flame atomic absorption spectrometry. All parameters affecting the extraction condition were thoroughly investigated and optimised. Under the optimised condition preconcentration factor of 150.0, enhancement factors of 149.0 and 149.2 and limits of detection of 0.21 and 0.01 µg L?1 were achieved for lead and cadmium, respectively. Using the prepared magnetic nanocomposite, the possible interference of other common ions associated with lead and cadmium determination was effectively avoided and the method was successfully applied to the simultaneous determination of the target ions in various environmental water samples. 相似文献

The effects of amino acid composition and peptide molecular mass on ACE-inhibitory and antioxidant activities of protein fragments obtained from tomato waste fermented using Bacillus subtilis were evaluated. The addition of B. subtilis increased the relative amounts of aromatic and positively-charged amino acids which have been described to influence the biological activities of peptide fragments. IC50 values of hydrolysates for ACE-inhibitory and 2, 2′-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) scavenging activities were found to be 1.5 and 8.2 mg/mL, respectively. Size-exclusion chromatography (SEC) pattern of the hydrolysate indicated the breakdown of parent proteins to smaller peptides with molecular weights mainly below 1400 Da. MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry analysis revealed that the highest ACE-inhibitory activity was due to peptides showing molecular mass range 500–800 Da, while the most active antioxidant peptides were found to be mainly at the two different peptide weight ranges 500–800 Da and 1200–1500 Da. 相似文献

A detailed chemical kinetic model for oxidation of acetylene at intermediate temperatures and high pressure has been developed and evaluated experimentally. The rate coefficients for the reactions of C2H2 with HO2 and O2 were investigated, based on the recent analysis of the potential energy diagram for C2H3 + O2 by Goldsmith et al. and on new ab initio calculations, respectively. The C2H2 + HO2 reaction involves nine pressure‐ and temperature‐dependent product channels, with formation of triplet CHCHO being dominant under most conditions. The barrier to reaction for C2H2 + O2 was found to be more than 50 kcal mol?1 and predictions of the initiation temperature were not sensitive to this reaction. Experiments were conducted with C2H2/O2 mixtures highly diluted in N2 in a high‐pressure flow reactor at 600–900 K and 60 bar, varying the reaction stoichiometry from very lean to fuel‐rich conditions. Model predictions were generally in satisfactory agreement with the experimental data. Under the investigated conditions, the oxidation pathways for C2H2 are more complex than those prevailing at higher temperatures and lower pressures. Acetylene is mostly consumed by recombination with H to form vinyl (reducing conditions) or with OH to form a CHCHOH adduct (stoichiometric to lean conditions). Both C2H3 and CHCHOH then react primarily with O2. The CHCHOH + O2 reaction leads to formation of significant amounts of glyoxal (OCHCHO) and formic acid (HOCHO), and the oxidation chemistry of these intermediates is important for the overall reaction. 相似文献

A new, simple hydrodistillation–solvent microextraction (HD–SME) technique has been used for analysis of the volatile components
of the aerial parts of Artemisia aucheri. The components were collected in a single microdrop, and this was injected directly for gas chromatographic–mass spectrometric
(GC–MS) analysis. The effects on extraction efficiency of extraction solvent, sample mass, microdrop volume, and extraction
time were optimized by use of a simplex method. The identities of the components of HD–SME extracts were confirmed according
to their retention indexes and mass spectra with those of standards. Forty components were extracted and identified by use
of the method; 1,8-cineol (22.8%), chrysanthenone (18.16%), α-pinene (8.33%), and mesitylene (7.41%) were the major constituents.

The catalytic effect of manganese(II) on the oxidation of barium diphenylamine sulfonate (BDAS) with potassium bromate in sulfuric acid was studied. Progress of the reaction was monitored, spectrophotometrically, by measuring absorbance changes at 547.5 nm. A highly sensitive, selective and simple method was accordingly developed for the determination of trace amounts of Mn(II), with no need for a separation or pre‐concentration step. Effects of reaction time, concentration of reagents, temperature and ionic strength on the reaction rate were studied. In the optimized conditions, manganese could be determined in a range of 1 to 60 ng mL?1 with a detection limit of 0.2 ng mL?1. Richards’ equation is a nonlinear partial differential equation governing unsteady seepage flow through unsaturated porous media. This paper investigates applicability of radial basis function-based differential quadrature (RBF-DQ), as a meshless method, to simulate one-dimensional flow processes in the unsaturated zone under different initial and boundary conditions. Fourth-order Runge–Kutta scheme has been adopted for time integration. Results of solving three numerical examples using RBF-DQ are compared with those of analytical, numerical, and experimental solutions presented in the literature. The comparison indicates that RBF-DQ can provide more accurate results comparing with traditional FDM or FEM without the need to discretize the computational domain. Moreover, the merit of mesh-free characteristic in RBF-DQ makes it suitable not only for solving nonlinear problems but also for dealing with multidimensional problems since meshless methods are not restricted to dimensional limitations. A key parameter in utilizing multiquadratic approximation in RBF-DQ method is the user-defined shape parameter C, which may significantly affect solution accuracy. Thus, a sensitivity analysis has been conducted to study possible effects of shape parameter on achieved results. 相似文献
