In order to analyze the thermal pollution of the Plomin bay induced by the used cooling water released from Plomin 1 and Plomin 2 thermal power plants, flow simulations and temperature field analysis were conducted. The measurements of the bay surface temperature field were carried out as well as the corresponding 3D water flow simulations on the realistically modeled bay. The accuracy of the simulation results was evaluated by the comparison of computed and measured surface temperatures. Furthermore, numerical meshes of different density were used in order to determine model sensitivity where the results showed a significant effect of the mesh density on the simulation results. Although the simulations obtained with a denser mesh yield more accurate results and allow for the reconstruction of heated water surface flow with better reliability, the sparser mesh provided sufficiently accurate results as well. The overall temperature field obtained with the numerical model agrees well with the measured temperature values, which demonstrates the successful application of the 3D flow numerical model on the Plomin bay thermal pollution problem.   相似文献

We combine abstract eigenvalue/eigenvector estimates (from our earlier work) with a saturation assumption for finite element solution of associated stationary problem to obtain a posteriori estimates of the accuracy of finite element Rayleigh–Ritz approximations. Attention will be payed to the interplay between the accuracy estimate for the finite element method and a strategy for generating an adapted mesh. The obtained results use a preconditioned residuum of Neymeyr and extend his study of eigenvalue approximations with eigenvector estimates. We are interested in numerical methods for approximating vector‐valued functions on a metric graph. As a model problem, we formulate and analyze a numerical method for the solution of the stationary problem for the one‐dimensional elastic stent model. The approximation is built using the mixed finite element method. The discretization matrix is a symmetric saddle‐point matrix, and we discuss sparse direct methods for the fast and robust solution of the associated equilibrium system. The convergence of the numerical method is proven and the error estimate is obtained. Numerical examples confirm the theoretical estimates.  相似文献

In some cases an impulsive noise source such as a gunshot can be a preferred alternative when investigating building acoustics, including sound insulation measurements, when compared to conventional steady state noise sources. A gun equipped with blank cartridges is an impulsive noise source that is lightweight and small enough to be easily transported. The differences in the noise characteristics between individual cartridges for the same gun are usually small, so the impulsive source can be replicated to a high degree. This paper is focused on the practical application of the sound exposure levels produced by a gunshot with a known sound energy level in the rooms under investigation. In this way, the equipment and methods required by the conventional method are simplified significantly. Furthermore, reverberation times need not be measured, since the equivalent absorption area can be directly obtained from the measured sound exposure levels. Using Green’s theorem, the roles of the sound source and measuring microphone were exchanged, which simplified the determination of sound insulation as it was easier to change the position of the gun than the microphone. The results obtained using the impulsive noise source were in good agreement with those obtained using the conventional method. Above 100 Hz, their difference in any frequency band of interest was less than 1 dB.  相似文献

It is shown that the gravitational energy generation vector is conformally invariant. The necessary and sufficient condition for the conformai invariance of the gravitational field equations is found. The conformal transformations of two simple nongravitational energy tensors are considered.
