Objective

Colony stimulating factors (CSFs) are endogenous cytokines that have key roles in proliferation and differentiation of hematopoietic progenitor cells and in regulation of mature blood cells performance. The CSFs families members are widely used for therapeutic purposes in many field include microbial infections, in cancer chemotherapy, alzheimer disease, hematopoiesis process, and for some neutropenia- related pathologies. Crown ethers are chemical compounds with therapeutic application that can affect the colony formation in vitro. The primary objective of the present study is to evaluate the effect of TDN (novel crown ether) on colony formation of red bone marrow cells in incubation with lung tissues cells.

Method

In this study, bone marrow cells and lung tissue cells of Balb/C were used as a source of hematopoietic stem cells and a source to production colony-stimulating factors, respectively. These cells were incubated with TDN separately and together.

Results

Briefly, the results of this study show that the effects of TDN has excitatory in concentrations lower than 50 µg/ml on colony formation and greater than 50 µg/ml is toxic to cells and it was inhibited the colony formation. Maximum stimulatory and inhibitory effects are shown in 50 and 400 µg/ml of crown ether and no colony was observed in the latter concentration.

Conclusion

The results from this study indicate that TDN significantly able to stimulate the colon formation while increased concentrations of TDN is inhibited colony formation by induction toxic effects due to excessive production of free radicals.

We report Raman measurements made on SO2 in a diamond cell up to 75 kbar showing two new phases, solid II and solid III, which differ from known, zero-pressure solid I. Spectra indicate that SO2 molecules aggregate in solid III to possibly form a cyclical trimer; solid III is shown to be photochemically active to blue radiation.  相似文献

The main statement is that the former is stronger than the latter, but the two are equivalent under the assumption of recurrence. In the approximation of linear elliptic operators in mixed form, it is well known that the so-called inf-sup and ellipticity in the kernel properties are sufficient (and, in a sense to be made precise, necessary) in order to have good approximation properties and optimal error bounds. One might think, in the spirit of Mercier-Osborn-Rappaz-Raviart and in consideration of the good behavior of commonly used mixed elements (like Raviart-Thomas or Brezzi-Douglas-Marini elements), that these conditions are also sufficient to ensure good convergence properties for eigenvalues. In this paper we show that this is not the case. In particular we present examples of mixed finite element approximations that satisfy the above properties but exhibit spurious eigenvalues. Such bad behavior is proved analytically and demonstrated in numerical experiments. We also present additional assumptions (fulfilled by the commonly used mixed methods already mentioned) which guarantee optimal error bounds for eigenvalue approximations as well.

This work reports on the synthesis and characterization of a new complex of Eu3+ with the 3-hydroxypicolinamide ligand (Hhpa). Here we present an approach for obtaining bis[2-carbamoyl(κO)pyridin-3-olato(κO’)] lanthanide complexes, which were characterized through elemental analysis, thermal analysis, infrared and photoluminescence spectroscopies (emission, excitation, luminescence lifetimes, quantum efficiencies, Judd-Ofelt parameters and quantum yields). Although hpa can act as a bidentate ligand in different conformations, the results attest for the occurrence of a unique coordination site of low symmetry for the Eu3+ ions, in which two anionic hpa ligands coordinate the cations through an O/O chelating system. The phosphorescence of the synthesized gadolinium complex provides the energy of the triplet state, which is determined to be at 20,830 cm-1 over the ground state. This makes the Hhpa ligand very adequate for sensitizing the Eu3+ luminescence, which leads to a very efficient antenna effect and opens a wide range of applications for the complex in light emitting organic-inorganic devices.  相似文献
