Heterostructures formed of films of organic-capped ZnO and TiO2 nanocrystals (both with the size of ca. 6 nm) and photosynthetic pigments were prepared and characterized. The surface of optically transparent electrodes (Indium Tin Oxide) was modified with nanocrystals and prepared by colloidal synthetic routes. The nanostructured electrodes were sensitized by a mixture of chlorophyll a and carotenoids. The characterization of the hybrid structures, carried out by means of steady-state optical measurements, demonstrated such class of dyes able to extend the photoresponse of the large band-gap semiconductors. The charge-transfer processes between the components of the heterojunction were investigated, and photoelectrochemical measurements taken on the sensitized ZnO and TiO2 nanocrystals electrodes elucidated the photoactivity of the heterojunctions as a function of the dyes and of the red–ox mediator used in solution. The effect of methyl viologen as different red–ox mediator was also evaluated in order to show its effect on the heterojunction photoactivity. The overall results contributed to describe the photoelectrochemical potential of the investigated heterojunctions, highlighting a higher response of the dye-sensitized ZnO nanocrystals, and then provided the TiO2-modified counterparts. 相似文献

A simple, rapid and effective analytical method based on fluorescence spectroscopy for the determination of coumarin in pharmaceutical
formulations without pre-treatment or pre-concentration step was development. Coumarin had maximum excitation and emission
at 310 nm and 390 nm, respectively. Optimum conditions for the detection of coumarin were investigated. Under optimized conditions,
we observed a linear behavior for the sign of coumarin in the concentration range of 2.5 × 10−6 to 1.0 × 10−4 mol L−1, with linearity of 0.998 and sensitivity of 2.9 × 1010 u.a/mol L−1. The proposed method was validated in terms of accuracy, precision and specificity of coumarin using the standard addition
and external calibration. It was noted that the results support (P < 0.05), indicating that the matrices were not an interference in the determination of coumarin by fluorescence spectroscopy.
The results were favorable compared with those obtained by reference chromatographic methods. 相似文献

The current status of the TwinMic beamline at Elettra synchrotron light source, that hosts the European twin X‐ray microscopy station, is reported. The X‐ray source, provided by a short hybrid undulator with source size and divergence intermediate between bending magnets and conventional undulators, is energy‐tailored using a collimated plane‐grating monochromator. The TwinMic spectromicroscopy experimental station combines scanning and full‐field imaging in a single instrument, with contrast modes such as absorption, differential phase, interference and darkfield. The implementation of coherent diffractive imaging modalities and ptychography is ongoing. Typically, scanning transmission X‐ray microscopy images are simultaneously collected in transmission and differential phase contrast and can be complemented by chemical and elemental analysis using across‐absorption‐edge imaging, X‐ray absorption near‐edge structure or low‐energy X‐ray fluorescence. The lateral resolutions depend on the particular imaging and contrast mode chosen. The TwinMic range of applications covers diverse research fields such as biology, biochemistry, medicine, pharmacology, environment, geochemistry, food, agriculture and materials science. Measurable spectra are often derived from contractions of many-body Green's functions. One calculates hence more information than needed. Here we present and illustrate an in principle exact approach to construct effective potentials and kernels for the direct calculation of electronic spectra. In particular, a dynamical but local and real potential yields the spectral function needed to describe photoemission. The formation of singularities in finite time in nonlocal Burgers’ equations, with time-fractional derivative, is studied in detail. The occurrence of finite-time singularity is proved, revealing the underlying mechanism, and precise estimates on the blowup time are provided. The employment of the present equation to model a problem arising in job market is also analyzed.
