In this paper we investigate contingent derivatives of set-valued maps and their lower and upper semidifferentiability properties. We provide also some calculus rules for these derivatives in infinite dimensional spaces. The concept of contingent derivatives is then applied to produce several necessary and sufficient conditions for vector optimization problems with set-valued objectives.This paper was written when the author was at the University of Erlangen-Nurnberg under a grant of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.On leave from the Institute of Mathematics, Hanoi, Vietnam.  相似文献

From the defining exchange relations of the elliptic quantum algebra, we construct subalgebras which can be characterized as q-deformed WN algebras. The consistency conditions relating the parameters p, q, N and the central charge c are shown to be related to the singularity structure of the functional coefficients defining the exchange relations of specific vertex operators representations of available when N = 2. This article concerns the exact controllability of unitary groups on Hilbert spaces with unbounded control operator. It provides a necessary and sufficient condition not involving time which blends a resolvent estimate and an observability inequality. By the transmutation of controls in some time L for the corresponding second-order conservative system, it is proved that the cost of controls in time T for the unitary group grows at most like exp(αL2/T) as T tends to 0. In the application to the cost of fast controls for the Schrödinger equation, L is the length of the longest ray of geometric optics which does not intersect the control region. This article also provides observability resolvent estimates implying fast smoothing effect controllability at low cost, and underscores that the controllability cost of a system is not changed by taking its tensor product with a conservative system.  相似文献

We give explicit formulas for the elements of the center of the completed quantum affine algebra in type A at the critical level that are associated with the fundamental representations. We calculate the images of these elements under a Harish-Chandra-type homomorphism. These images coincide with those in the free field realization of the quantum affine algebra and reproduce generators of the q-deformed classical \({{\mathcal W}}\)-algebra of Frenkel and Reshetikhin.  相似文献

A random m-ary seach tree is constructed from a random permutation of 1,…, n. A law of large numbers is obtained for the height Hn of these trees by applying the theory of branching random walks. in particular, it is shown that Hn/log n→γ in probability as n→∞ where γ = γ(m) is a constant depending upon m only. Interestingly, as m→∞, γ(m) is asymptotic to 1/log m, the coefficient of log n in the asymptotic expression for the height of the complete m-ary search tree. This proves that for large m, random m-ary search trees behave virtually like complete m-ary trees.  相似文献

The reversible introduction of functionality at material surfaces is of interest for the development of functional biomaterials. In particular, the use of supramolecular immobilization strategies facilitates mild reaction and processing conditions, as compared to other covalent analogues. Here, the engineering of multicomponent supramolecular materials, beyond the use of a single supramolecular entity is proposed. Cucurbit[8]uril (Q8) mediated host–guest chemistry is combined with hydrogen bonding supramolecular 2‐ureido‐4‐pyrimidinone (UPy)‐based materials. The modular incorporation of a UPy‐additive that presents one guest to incorporate into the Q8 host allows for selective supramolecular functionalization at the water–polymer material interface. Supramolecular ternary complex formation at the material surface was studied by X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy, which as a result of large overlap in atomic composition of the different components showed minor changes is surface composition upon complex formation. Surface MALDI‐ToF MS measurements revealed useful insights in the formation of complexes. Protein immobilization was monitored using both fluorescence spectroscopy and quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation monitoring, which successfully demonstrated ternary complex formation. Although proteins could selectively be immobilized onto the surfaces, control of the system's stability remains a challenge as a result of the dynamicity of the host–guest assembly. © 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. After recalling the constitutive equations of finite strain poroelasticity formulated at the macroscopic level, we adopt a microscopic point of view which consists of describing the fluid-saturated porous medium at a space scale on which the fluid and solid phases are geometrically distinct. The constitutive equations of poroelasticity are recovered from the analysis conducted on a representative elementary volume of porous material open to fluid mass exchange. The procedure relies upon the solution of a boundary value problem defined on the solid domain of the representative volume undergoing large elastic strains. The macroscopic potential, computed as the integral of the free energy density over the solid domain, is shown to depend on the macroscopic deformation gradient and the porous space volume as relevant variables. The corresponding stress-type variables obtained through the differentiation of this potential turn out to be the macroscopic Boussinesq stress tensor and the pore pressure. Furthermore, such a procedure makes it possible to establish the necessary and sufficient conditions to ensure the validity of an ‘effective stress’ formulation of the constitutive equations of finite strain poroelasticity. Such conditions are notably satisfied in the important case of an incompressible solid matrix.  相似文献

Porous polycrystal-type microstructures built up of needle-like platelets or sheets are characteristic for a number of biological and man-made materials. Herein, we consider (i) uniform, (ii) axisymmetrical orientation distribution of linear elastic, isotropic as well as anisotropic needles. Axisymmetrical needle orientation requires derivation of the Hill tensor for arbitrarily oriented ellipsoidal inclusions with one axis tending towards infinity, embedded in a transversely isotropic matrix; therefore, Laws' integral expression of the Hill tensor is evaluated employing the theory of rational functions. For a porosity lower 0.4, the elastic properties of the polycrystal with uniformly oriented needles are quasi-identical to those of a polycrystal with solid spheres. However, as opposed to the sphere-based model, the needle-based model does not predict a percolation threshold. As regards axisymmetrical orientation distribution of needles, two effects are remarkable: Firstly, the sharper the cone of orientations the higher the anisotropy of the polycrystal. Secondly, for a given cone, the anisotropy increases with the porosity. Estimates for the polycrystal stiffness are hardly influenced by the anisotropy of the bone mineral needles. Our results also confirm the very high degree of orientation randomness of crystals building up mineral foams in bone tissues. To cite this article: A. Fritsch et al., C. R. A universal, practical and scalable organocatalytic hydrocyanation manifold to provide β-substituted acrylonitriles bearing an electron-withdrawing functionality has been implemented. The catalytic manifold operates under the reactivity generation principle “a good nucleophile generates a strong base”, and it uses 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane (DABCO) as the catalyst, activated terminal alkynes as substrates and acetone cyanohydrin as the cyanide source. The acrylonitriles obtained as E,Z mixtures are straightforwardly resolved by simple flash chromatography delivering the pure isomers in preparative amounts.  相似文献
