We propose an information-theoretic model for the transport of waves through a chaotic cavity in the presence of absorption. The entropy of the S-matrix statistical distribution is maximized, with the constraint =alphan: n is the dimensionality of S, and 0=alpha=1, alpha=0(1) meaning complete (no) absorption. For strong absorption our result agrees with a number of analytical calculations already given in the literature. In that limit, the distribution of the individual (angular) transmission and reflection coefficients becomes exponential (Rayleigh statistics), even for n=1. For n>1 Rayleigh statistics is attained even with no absorption; here, we extend the study to alpha<1. The model is compared with random-matrix-theory numerical simulations: it describes the problem very well for strong absorption, but fails for moderate and weak absorptions. Thus, in the latter regime, some important physical constraint is missing in the construction of the model. 相似文献

This Letter presents an adaptive neural network control method for the chaos control problem. Based on a single layer neural network, the dynamic about the unstable fixed period point of the chaotic system can be adaptively identified without detailed information about the chaotic system. In this paper,a Crank-Nicolson-type finite difference method is proposed for computing the soliton solutions of a complex modifed Korteweg de Vries(MKdV)equation(which is equivalent to the Sasa-Satsuma equation)with the vanishing boundary condition.It is proved that such a numerical scheme has the second order accuracy both in space and time,and conserves the mass in the discrete level.Meanwhile,the resuling scheme is shown to be unconditionally stable via the von Nuemann analysis.In addition,an iterative method and the Thomas algorithm are used together to enhance the computational efficiency.In numerical experiments,this method is used to simulate the single-soliton propagation and two-soliton collisions in the complex MKdV equation.The numerical accuracy,mass conservation and linear stability are tested to assess the scheme's performance. 相似文献

A simple catalytic oxidation system was developed for the selective aerobic oxidation of structurally diverse benzylic sp3 CH bonds of ethers and alkylarenes. The reactions were performed with Fe(NO3)3·9H2O as the catalyst, KPF6 as the additive and molecular oxygen as the terminal oxidant without any ligands. Under the optimal reaction conditions, a number of isochromans, xanthenes and thioxanthenes can be converted to their corresponding esters or ketones in good to excellent yields. 相似文献

Surface functionalization of the plasma‐pretreated polycarbonate (PC) track‐etched membranes via plasma‐induced thermally graft copolymerization of acrylic acid (AAc) was carried out. The resulting PC membranes with grafted AAc side chains were characterized by X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, and thermogravimetric (TG) analysis. The morphology of the PC membranes was studied by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results showed that the grafted PAAc polymers were formed uniformly inside the pores throughout the entire membrane thickness. With increase in the pore‐filling ratio, the pore diameters of PAAc‐grafted membranes became smaller. The PC‐g‐PAAc membranes exhibit rapid and reversible response of the flux to the environmental pH as pH is switched between 3 and 9. Between pH 3.5 and 5.5, the membranes demonstrate a pH‐valve function as the carboxyl group changes from neutral to charged with a corresponding variation in chain configuration.
