Binary polymer brushes, including mixed homopolymer brushes and diblock copolymer brushes, are an attractive class of environmentally responsive nanostructured materials. Owing to microphase separation of the two chemically distinct components in the brush, multifaceted nanomaterials with functionalized and patterned surfaces can be obtained. This review summarizes recent progress on the theory and simulations related to binary polymer brushes grafted to flat, spherical, and cylindrical substrates, with a focus on patterned morphologies of multifaceted hairy nanoparticles, an intriguing class of hybrid nanostructured particles (e.g., nanospheres and nanorods). In particular, powerful field theory and particle-based simulations suitable for revealing novel structures on these patterned surfaces, including self-consistent field theory and dissipative particle dynamics simulations, are emphasized. The unsolved yet critical issues in this research field, such as dynamic response of binary polymer brushes to environmental stimuli and the hierarchical self-assembly of binary hairy nanoparticles, are briefly discussed. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Qingkailing (QKL) injection, a modified modern Chinese medicine preparation, is widely used in the clinic for its significant antipyretic and anti‐inflammatory effects, but its serious adverse drug reactions have attracted more and more attention. Series of caffeoylquinic acids in QKL are widely suspected to be the allergens responsible for these adverse drug reactions. Therefore, pharmacokinetic studies of the caffeoylquinic acids are needed. In this paper, a simple, rapid and sensitive ultra‐performance liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry method was developed for the simultaneous determination of chlorogenic acid, neochlorogenic acid, baicalin, geniposide, cholic acid and hyodeoxycholic acid in rat plasma. Chromatographic separation was achieved on a BEH C18 column by a gradient elution at a flow rate of 0.40 mL/min in only 6.0 min. All analytes were monitored by multiple reaction monitoring mode with negative electrospray ionization. The calibration curves of these analytes were all linear (r > 0.9978) over wide concentration ranges. The intra‐ and inter‐ day precisions (relative standard deviations) were within 14.3% and accuracy (relative error) ranged from ?6.8 to 4.8%. The mean recoveries ranged from 74.5 to 105.6%. This validated method was successfully applied to the pharmacokinetic study of the six analytes in rats following an intravenous administration of QKL injection. The high-entropy materials have raised much attention in recent years due to their extraordinary performances in mechanical, catalysis, energy storage fields. Herein, a new type of high-entropy hydroxides (e.g., NiFeCoMnAl(OH)x) that are amorphous and capable of broad solar absorption is reported. A facile one-pot co-precipitation method is employed to synthesize these amorphous high-entropy hydroxides (a-HEHOs) under ambient conditions. The a-HEHOs thus obtained display widely tunable bandgap (e.g., from 2.6 to 1.1 eV) due to their high-entropy and amorphous characteristics, enabling efficient light absorbance and photothermal conversion in the solar regime. Further solar water evaporation measurements show that the a-HEHOs delivered a considerable energy conversion efficiency of 55%, comparable to black titanium oxides that are synthesized using more complex and expensive methods. 相似文献

Tetrathiatriarylmethyl (TAM, trityl) radicals have found wide applications as spin probes/labels for EPR spectroscopy and imaging, and as polarizing agents for dynamic nuclear polarization. The high hydrophilicity of TAM radicals is essential for their biomedical applications. However, the synthesis of hydrophilic TAM radicals (e.g., OX063) is extremely challenging and has only been reported in the patent literature, to date. Herein, an efficient synthesis of a highly water-soluble TAM radical bis(8-carboxyl-2,2,6,6-tetramethylbenzo[1,2-d:4,5-d′]bis([1,3]dithiol-4-yl)-mono-(8-carboxyl-2,2,6,6-tetrakis(2-hydroxyethyl)benzo[1,2-d:4,5-d′]bis([1,3]dithiol-4-yl)methyl (TFO), which contains four additional hydroxylethyl groups, relative to the Finland trityl radical CT-03, is reported. Similar to OX063, TFO exhibits excellent properties, including high water solubility in phosphate buffer, low log P, low pKa, long relaxation times, and negligible binding with bovine serum albumin. On the other hand, TFO has a sharper EPR line and higher O2 sensitivity than those of OX063. Therefore, in combination with its facile synthesis, TFO should find wide applications in magnetic resonance related fields and this synthetic approach would shed new light on the synthesis of other hydrophilic TAM radicals. 相似文献
