Two americium(III) iodates, beta-Am(IO3)3 (I) and alpha-Am(IO3)3 (II), have been prepared from the aqueous reactions of Am(III) with KIO(4) at 180 degrees C and have been characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, diffuse reflectance, and Raman spectroscopy. The alpha-form is consistent with the known structure type I of anhydrous lanthanide iodates. It consists of a three-dimensional network of pyramidal iodate groups bridging [AmO8] polyhedra where each of the americium ions are coordinated to eight iodate ligands. The beta-form reveals a novel architecture that is unknown within the f-element iodate series. beta-Am(IO3)3 exhibits a two-dimensional layered structure with nine-coordinate Am(III) atoms. Three crystallographically unique pyramidal iodate anions link the Am atoms into corrugated sheets that interact with one another through intermolecular IO3-...IO3- interactions forming dimeric I2O10 units. One of these anions utilizes all three O atoms to simultaneously bridge three Am atoms. The other two iodate ligands bridge only two Am atoms and have one terminal O atom. In contrast to alpha-Am(IO3)3, where the [IO3] ligands are solely corner-sharing with [AmO8] polyhedra, a complex arrangement of corner- and edge-sharing mu2- and mu3-[IO3] pyramids can be found in beta-Am(IO3)3. Zn-Al layered double hydroxide(LDH) was used as precursor to produce ZnO nanostructures through dissolution of aluminum hydroxide in caustic soda.The Zn-Al LDH could transform into different nanostructures of ZnO on LDH nanosheets and even pure ZnO nanorods under various NaOH concentration.The formed ZnO nanorods vertically aligned on both LDH sides.UV-vis diverse reflectance spectra show that the obtained ZnO nanorods have a band gap of approximately 3.05 eV.Such ZnO/LDH nanostructures might be used as photocatalyst in the organic pollutant decomposition. 相似文献

Two tetrasubstituted (RLP024 and RLP040) and one monosubstituted (MRLP101) Zn-phthalocyanines were readily accumulated by three skin-derived cell lines (HT-1080 transformed human fibroblasts, 3T3 mouse embryo fibroblasts and HaCaT human keratinocytes) upon 1 h-incubation with 0.5-5 microM phthalocyanine concentrations. The affinity was markedly larger for the tetra- as compared with the mono-substituted phthalocyanine, even though smaller phthalocyanine amounts were generally recovered from keratinocytes. As a consequence, the two tetra-substituted phthalocyanines exhibited a higher phototoxicity against all the three cell lines. Typically, the cell survival decreased by at least 80% after 1 min irradiation with 600-700 nm light at a fluence-rate of 50 mW/cm2 in the presence of 5 microM phthalocyanine. Fluorescence microscopy and caspase-3 activation studies indicate that cell death of fibroblasts largely occurred by a random-necrotic process while the keratinocytes underwent cell death predominantly via apoptosis in spite of a very similar pattern of subcellular distribution of the phthalocyanines. 相似文献
