In the present work we have reported the unique effects of P2O5-doped PLZT ceramics with composition (Pb0.92La0.08)(Zr0.65Ti0.35)O3 +x wt% of P2O5 (wherex = 1, 3 and 5) prepared chemically by co-precipitation method. X-ray diffraction studies suggest that the prepared compound was very fine (10–25 nm), homogeneous and of rhombohedral symmetry. The apparent density of samples decreased with the P5+ additions. Studies of dielectric constant and dielectric loss as a function of frequency (10–1000 kHz) and temperature suggest that the compound undergoes diffuse type of phase transition without any sign of relaxor behaviour. With increasingx, dielectric constant was found to decrease appreciably, whereas Curie temperature (TC) was found to increase  相似文献

The degree set of a finite simple graph G is the set of distinct degrees of vertices of G. A theorem of Kapoor et al. [Degree sets for graphs, Fund. Math. 95 (1977) 189-194] asserts that the least order of a graph with a given degree set D is 1+max(D). We look at the analogous problem concerning the least size of a graph with a given degree set D. We determine the least size for the sets D when (i) |D|?3; (ii) D={1,2,…,n}; and (iii) every element in D is at least |D|. In addition, we give sharp upper and lower bounds in all cases.  相似文献

Seven fluorinated and chlorinated terphenyl compounds intended for mid-wave infrared (MWIR) applications are synthesised and two eutectic mixtures formulated, and their physical properties evaluated. In addition to low absorption, some desirable properties for MWIR applications include wide nematic range, high birefringence, large dielectric anisotropy and low viscosity. The fluorinated terphenyl mixture exhibits a relatively low absorption in the vicinities of λ ~ 3 μm, but a fairly strong overtone appears in the 4–5 μm region. To suppress these overtone absorptions, short-chain chlorinated terphenyl compounds are proven to be useful.  相似文献

Pseudo‐first‐order rate constants have been determined for the nucleophilic substitution reactions of p‐nitrophenyl acetate with p‐chlorophenoxide (4‐ClC6H4O?) and N‐phenylbenzohydroxamate (C6H5CON(C6H5)O?) ions in phosphate buffer (pH 7.7) at 27°C. The effect of cationic, (CTAB, TTAB, DTAB), anionic (SDS), and nonionic (Brij‐35) surfactants has been studied. The kobs value increases upon addition of CTAB and TTAB. The effect of DTAB and other surfactants on the reaction is not very significant. The micellar catalysis and α‐effect shown by hydroxamate ion have been explained. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Effects of addition of three standard clay minerals, Na-montmorillonite, illite and kaolinite, on Portland cement hydration properties were studied. The1H spin-lattice relaxation of exchangeable water was monitored during hydration time and the data were processed by spin-grouping analysis. The values and evolution dynamics of both resolvedT 1 components and corresponding magnetization fractions show that each day mineral lowers the fluidity of Portland cement paste and accelerates its hydration in dormant. In advanced stages of hydration, the Na-montmorillonite provides the accelerating influence, while the kaolinite exhibits the retarding effect. The final values of gel pores to capillaries percentage fractions ratio indicate a slightly lower porosity of samples with Namontmorillonite and a higher porosity of pastes with the same percentage of illite or kaolinite, regarding to the pure hardened Portland cement.  相似文献

Facilitated transport of Am(III) in nitric acid medium using tetra(2-ethyl hexyl) diglycolamide (TEHDGA) in n-dodecane as carrier was studied. It was aimed at finding out the physico-chemical model for the transport of Am(III) using TEHDGA/n-dodecane as carrier under various experimental parameters like feed acidity, carrier concentration, varying strippant, varying membrane pore size, etc. The feed acidity and carrier concentrations were varied from 1 M to 6 M HNO3 and 0.1 M to 0.3 M TEHDGA/n-dodecane, respectively. The transport of Am(III) increased with increase in feed acidity and carrier concentration reaching maximum at 3 M HNO3 and 0.2 M TEHDGA/n-dodecane, respectively. Several stripping agents were tested and 0.1 M HNO3 was found to be the most suitable stripping agent for this system. Almost quantitative transport of Am(III) was observed at about 180 min with feed acidity of 3 M HNO3, 0.1 M HNO3 as strippant and 0.2 M TEHDGA/n-dodecane as carrier. The pore size of the membrane support was varied from 0.20 μm to 5 μm and the permeation coefficient increased with increase in pore size up to 0.45 μm (2.43 × 10−3 cm/s), and then decreased with further increase in pore size. The plot between permeation coefficient vs. (membrane thickness)−1 was linear which showed that the Am(III) transport was membrane diffusion limited. The membrane diffusion coefficient calculated from the graph was found to be 1.27 × 10−6 cm2/s and its theoretical value was 1.22 × 10−6 cm2/s. The stability of the carrier against leaching out of the membrane support as well as the integrity of membrane support was studied over a period of 30 days and was found to be satisfactory within the studied time period.  相似文献

Three phase transitions (face centered to simple cubic, surface rearrangement from (2×2) to (1×1) and glass transition) in fullerene thin films and the effect of 150 MeV Ti ion irradiation on these transitions have been studied, using temperature dependence of electrical resistivity measurements. The structural properties of the C60 thin films are studied by X-ray diffraction, atomic force microscopy and UV-vis spectroscopy. It is observed that defect creation by ion irradiation in the films lead to quenching and broadening of structural phase transitions but the transition temperatures did not show significant shifting under ion irradiation.  相似文献
