Silver(I) dialkyl/alkylene dithiophosphates of the types [Ag{S2P(OR)2}] and [Ag{S2P(OGO)}] (where R = –Pr n ; G = –CMe2CH2CHMe–, –CH2CMe2CH2–, –CMe2CMe2– or –CH2CH2CHMe–) have been prepared by treating an aqueous solution of AgNO3 with ammonia salts of the respective dithiophosphoric acid. The derivatives form 1:1 adducts readily with 2,2-bipyridine or Ph3P in CH2Cl2 solution. These novel complexes have been characterized by elemental analyses, molecular weight measurements and spectral (i.r., 1H- and 31P-n.m.r.) studies. The crystal structure of [Ag{S2POCH2CMe2CH2O · PPh3]2 · 2H2O exhibits an unsymmetrical attachment of the silver(I) to the ligand moiety.  相似文献

A new, simple, selective and sensitive method for the spectrophotometric determination of antimony in rain water is described. It includes preconcentrating Sb with surfactants (i.e. cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC) and Triton X-100 (TX-100)) into toluene and allowing the extract to react with a dye, i.e. brilliant green (BG). The value of apparent molar absorptivity is 5.55 × 105 L-mol–1· cm–1 at λmax = 620 nm; the detection limit is 3 ng/mL Sb in rain water at 3-fold preconcentration. Summary Analytical data, room temperature magnetic moment values, electronic and i.r. spectral measurements down to 200 cm–1 on the coordination compounds formed by the interaction of cobalt(II) chloride, bromide, thiocyanate, acetate and nitrate with 4,4-bipyridyl and 4,4-bipyridylN,N-dioxide indicate that the isolated compounds are coordination polymers having tetrahedral or octahedral stereochemistry around cobalt(II) involving bridging 4,4-bipyridyl/4,4-bipyridylN,N-dioxide molecules. Terminally bonded acetato- and nitrato-ligands and bridging or terminally bonded chloro-, bromo- and thiocyanato-groups in the solid state.  相似文献

We describe a radioimmunoassay procedure for the measurement of phenytoin (5,5-diphenylhydantoin) in serum samples. Antiserum to phenytoin has been produced against phenytoin-valeric acid-bovine serum albumin conjugate.125I labelled phenytoin-acetic acid-tyrosine methyl ester has been used as a tracer. The assay covers a range of 10–500 ng/cm3 and has a sensitivity of 0.25 ng. The assay is validated by specificity tests, precision profile and recovery tests.  相似文献

Three different biodegradable polyesters, namely, polycaprolactone (PCL), polybutylene succinate (BIONOLLE), and a copolyester of adipic acid, terephthalic acid, and 1,4‐butanediol (EASTAR) were melt‐blended using a twin‐screw extruder. The percentage composition of each of the aforementioned polymers was varied to obtain different blends, and the mechanical properties were evaluated. Selected blends showed significant improvement in tensile strength as compared with the individual polymers used to prepare the blend. The compatibility between the polymer phases was examined via Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) and nuclear magnetic resonace (NMR) spectroscopy as well as dynamic mechanical analysis. FTIR and NMR data confirmed the occurrence of hydrogen‐bonding and ester‐interchange reactions. Thermal properties and changes in crystallinity of the blends were examined with differential scanning calorimetry and X‐ray diffraction. A considerable increase in crystallinity was shown by the blend system containing BIONOLLE/PCL. The morphology of the blends was observed and correlated to the improved mechanical properties of the blend system. Results revealed an intermediate multiphase system in which a significant degree of mixing was achieved through the chemical interaction of the functional groups present, while using the twin‐screw extruder. Significant improvement in mechanical properties of some blends was observed, and information about the miscibility of these polyesters is provided. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. We investigate the electrohydrodynamics of an initially spherical droplet under the influence of an external alternating electric field by conducting axisymmetric numerical simulations using a charge-conservative volume-of-fluid based finite volume flow solver. The mean amplitude of shape oscillations of a droplet subjected to an alternating electric field for leaky dielectric fluids is similar to the steady-state deformation under an equivalent root mean squared direct electric field for all possible electrical conductivity ratio and permittivity ratio of the droplet to the surrounding fluid. In contrast, our simulations for weakly conducting media show that this equivalence between alternating and direct electric fields does not hold for . Moreover, for a range of parameters, the deformation obtained using the alternating and direct electric fields is qualitatively different, that is, for low and high , the droplet becomes prolate under alternating electric field but deforms to an oblate shape in the case of the equivalent direct electric field. A parametric study is conducted by varying the time period of the applied alternating electric field, the permittivity and the electrical conductivity ratios. It is observed that while increasing has a negligible effect on the deformation dynamics of the droplet for , it enhances the deformation of the droplet when for both alternating and direct electric fields. We believe that our results may be of immense consequence in explaining the morphological evolution of droplets in a plethora of scenarios ranging from nature to biology.  相似文献

A new mathematical structure is introduced, to be calledsegmented structure, defined by the assumption that for any pair of its pointsx, y a subset is defined, reasonably identifiable as the segment joiningx andy. The reason for such a research is the existence of a physically reasonable way of defining the segment joining two points of space-time. In the present study, we report the dielectric behavior of a high temperature nematic liquid crystal (NLC) in both the planar as well as homeotropic alignments. To understand the mechanism of such high temperature NLC, we have performed dielectric spectroscopy in frequency range 100 Hz to 10 MHz. The different dielectric parameters, viz., effective dielectric permittivity and dielectric anisotropy of the sample have been determined with the variation of frequency and temperature. It is found that the dielectric parameters depend on dipole moment and rotation of side chain of molecule. The phase transition of this high temperature NLC has been confirmed by the DSC study.  相似文献
