The syntheses and electrooptic properties of a new family of nonlinear optical chromophores are reported. These species feature an ethyne-elaborated, highly polarizable porphyrinic component and metal polypyridyl complexes that serve as integral donor and acceptor elements. Examples of this structural motif include ruthenium(II) [5-(4'-ethynyl-(2,2';6',2' '-terpyridinyl))-10,20-bis(2',6'-bis(3,3-dimethyl-1-butyloxy)phenyl)porphinato]zinc(II)-(2,2';6',2' '-terpyridine)(2+) bis-hexafluorophosphate (Ru-PZn); osmium(II) [5-(4'-ethynyl-(2,2';6',2'-terpyridinyl))-10,20-bis(2',6'-bis(3,3-dimethyl-1-butyloxy)phenyl)porphinato]zinc(II)-(2,2';6',2'-terpyridine)(2+) bis-hexafluorophosphate (Os-PZn); ruthenium(II) [5-(4'-ethynyl-(2,2';6',2'-terpyridinyl))-15-(4'-nitrophenyl)ethynyl-10,20-bis(2',6'-bis(3,3-dimethyl-1-butyloxy)phen-yl)porphinato]zinc(II)-(2,2';6',2' '-terpyridine)(2+) bis-hexafluorophosphate (Ru-PZn-A); osmium(II) [5-(4'-ethynyl-(2,2';6',2' '-terpyridinyl))-15-(4'-nitrophenyl)ethynyl-10,20-bis(2',6'-bis(3,3-dimethyl-1-butyloxy)phenyl)porphinato]zinc(II)-(2,2';6',2' '-terpyridine)(2+) bis-hexafluorophosphate (Os-PZn-A); and ruthenium(II) [5-(4'-ethynyl-(2,2';6',2' '-terpyridinyl))osmium(II)-15-(4'-ethynyl-(2,2';6',2'-terpyridinyl))-10,20-bis (2',6'-bis(3,3-dimethyl-1-butyloxy)phenyl)porphinato]zinc(II)-bis(2,2';6',2'-terpyridine)(4+) tetrakis-hexafluorophosphate (Ru-PZn-Os). The frequency dependence of the dynamic hyperpolarizability of these compounds was determined from hyperRayleigh light scattering (HRS) measurements carried out at fundamental incident irradiation wavelengths (lambda(inc)) of 800, 1064, and 1300 nm. These data show that (i) coupled oscillator photophysics and metal-mediated cross-coupling can be exploited to elaborate high beta(0) supermolecules that exhibit significant excited-state electronic communication between their respective pigment building blocks; (ii) high-stability metal polypyridyl compounds constitute an attractive alternative to electron releasing dialkyl- and diarylamino groups, the most commonly used donor moieties in a wide range of established nonlinear optical dyes; (iii) this design strategy enables ready elaboration of chromophores having extraordinarily large dynamic hyperpolarizabilities (beta(lambda) values) at telecommunication relevant wavelengths; and (iv) porphyrin B- and Q-state-derived static hyperpolarizabilities (beta(0) values) can be designed to have the same or opposite sign in these species, thus providing a new means to regulate the magnitude of lambda(inc)-specific dynamic hyperpolarizabilities.  相似文献

A new indirect detection scheme for obtaining (15)N/(1)H shift correlation spectra in crystalline proteins is described. Excellent water suppression is achieved without the need for pulsed field gradients, and using only a 2-step phase cycle. Careful attention to overall NMR instrument stability was found critical for obtaining the best resolution and sensitivity. Magnetic dilution by deuteration of the protein in combination with high-speed magic angle spinning produces (1)H resonances averaging only 0.22 ppm in width, and in some cases lines as narrow as 0.17 ppm are obtained. In application to two different polymorphs of ubiquitin, structure dependent differences in both (15)N and (1)H amide chemical shifts are observed. In one case, distinct shifts for different molecules in the asymmetric unit are seen, and all differ substantially from solution NMR shifts. A gain of 7 in sensitivity makes the method competitive with solution NMR as long as nanocrystalline samples are available.  相似文献

Phosphoraneiminato Complexes of Iodine. Syntheses and Crystal Structures of Ph3PNIO2 and Ph3PNSiMe3 · I2 Ph3PNIO2 has been prepared as yellow crystals by the reaction of Ph3PNSiMe3 with I2O5 in boiling acetonitrile, whereas the molecular complex Ph3PNSiMe3 · I2 is formed as brown crystals by the reaction of Ph3PNSiMe3 with iodine in acetonitrile solution. Both complexes were characterized by crystal structure determinations. Ph3PNIO2: Space group P21/n, Z = 4, 2 858 observed unique reflections, R = 0.039. Lattice dimensions at 19°C: a = 972.8(2), b = 1 743.4(3), c = 1 073.7(2) pm, β = 115.46(3)°. The compound forms monomeric molecules with pyramidal geometry at the iodine atom. The bond angle PNI (126.9°) is unusually small; the PN bond length of 159.2 pm corresponds with a double bond. Ph3PNSiMe3 · I2: Space group P1 , Z = 2, 3 560 observed unique reflections, R = 0.033. Lattice dimensions at 19°C: a = 941.2(2), b = 1 041.7(2), c = 1 287.4(3) pm, α = 78.34(1)°, β = 72.00(2)°, γ = 86.08(2)°. The compound forms monomeric molecules, in which the I2 molecule and the nitrogen atom of the phosphoraneimine molecule realize a linear N? I? I axis with a bond length N? I of 243.2 pm.  相似文献

Radical addition to enamines using Bu3SnH as reducing agent are reported (Schemes 2 and 4). The diastereoselectivity of these reactions was examined in different systems (Tables 1 and 2). Enamines derived from cyclic ketones such as cyclohexanone were alkylated with high diastereoselectivity with preferential formation of the cis-disubstituted cycloalkanes. In acyclic systems such as enamines derived from propiophenone and diethyl ketone, moderate to high stereoselectivities were observed in the H-abstraction step. A model based principally on minimization of allylic 1,3-strain (A1,3 strain) was deduced from the experimental results and semi-empirical (AM1) calculations.  相似文献

Condensation of chlorocarbonylsulfenyl chloride 1 with 1-(5-(1,1-dimethylethyl)-1,2-oxazol-3-yl)-3-methylurea 4a has been found to give isomeric 2,4-disubstituted-1,2,4-thiazolidine-3,5-diones 5 and 6 . Assignments are confirmed by the X-ray structure data of 6 . Sulfenylation with alkoxycarbonylsulfenyl chlorides 7 and trichloromethylsulfenyl chloride 10 of 4 occurs exclusively on N-1 rather than N-3 of the urea moiety. With the isomeric 1-[3-(1,1-dimethylethyl)-1,2-oxazol-5-yl]-3-methylurea 14 and ethoxycarbonylsulfenyl chloride 7b , C-sulfenylated derivatives 15 and 16 are formed in low yield.  相似文献

2-Cyclopentenyl and 3-phenyl-2-cyclopentenyl methyl ketones (15–18, 30, 31) undergo a 1,3-acetyl shift on direct irradiation, and the oxa-di-π-methane rearrangement to photochemically non-interconverting endo and exo bicyclo-[2.1.0]pentyl methyl ketones on triplet sensitization. Exceptions include the 2-methyl-3-phenyl-2-cyclopentenyl methyl ketone 32 and the 1-phenyl-2-cyclo-pentenyl methyl ketone 44 which are unreactive on direct irradiation and on triplet sensitization, respectively, and the 2-phenyl-2-cyclopentenyl methyl ketones 42 and 43 which do not react under either condition. The reactive triplet of the 3-phenyl-2-cyclopentenyl methyl ketone 30 has been identified as the localized styrene π,π*-state of ET=59 kcal/mol by comparison of its phosphorescence at 77K in rigid glasses with that of 1-phenyl-cyclopentene, and by the independence of the quantum yield on sensitizer energy in the range of 61–74 kcal/mol.  相似文献

A discussion of the conditions for the complexometric determination of the minor component in a mixture of two metal ions is presented. It is based on expressions of the Ringbom type for the titration error. These are derived by the use of logarithmic diagrams. A study of the static stereochemistry of 1,1,2,2-tetraphenyldisilane (1) and 1,1,2,2-tetramesityldisilane (2) by empirical force field calculations, X-ray diffraction, and 1H NMR reveals that the preference for the anti conformation, exhibited by the unclamped 1,1,2,2-tetraarylethanes, is sustained in the analogous disilanes, although in somewhat attenuated form. This anti preference stands in contrast to the gauche preference of 1,1,2,2-tetraalkyldisilanes. Examination of 3JHH coupling constants for R2HSiSiHR2; (R = phenyl, mesityl, 2,6-dimethyl-phenyl, t-butyl, cyclohexyl) suggests the existence of a Karplus relation for H-Si-Si-H systems.  相似文献

Two novel 2,3-dihydro-1H-imidazo[1,2-b]pyrazole derivatives 7 and 8 have been prepared by hydrazinolysis with 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine of 1-(benzylideneamino)-2-(2-ethoxycarbonyl-2-nitromethylidene)-imidazolidine 4 . The precursor 4 was conveniently prepared from ethyl nitroacetate and 1-(benzylidene-amino)-2-(methylthio)imidazoline 3 . Two examples are presented in which ethyl aceto(and trifluoroaceto)acetate 2-nitrophenyl-hyrazone, 9 and 10 , both of which also feature the β-hydrazinoacrylate arrangement, are refluxed in ethanol containing hydrochloric acid and thereby converted into pyrazolones 11 and 12 , pyrazoles 13 and 14 , and ketone 2-nitrophenylhydrazones 15 and 16 , respectively.  相似文献

The quinquedentate ligand 2,2′‐[1,1′‐(4‐aza­heptane‐1,7‐diyl­dinitrilo)diethyl­idyne]diphenol in the title compound, [Cu(C22H27N3O2)], furnishes an N3O2 donor set, which results in a distorted square‐pyramidal coordination; the two O and two imine N atoms lie in the basal plane, while the secondary amine N atom of the ligand occupies the axial position. The axial Cu—N bond is 0.33 Å longer than the average of the equatorial bonds, and the O atoms are trans. The symmetry of the mol­ecule is lowered by the twist–boat and chair conformations adopted by the two CuNN chelate rings. The complex contains two intra­molecular C—H⋯O inter­actions, and two mol­ecules of the complex are linked into a dimer by means of moderate N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds. Spectroscopic evidence supports the presence of hydrogen bonds.  相似文献
