The electronic states in metallic alkali fullerides K3C60 and Rb3C60, are studied in detail by cw- and pulsed-ESR. The ESR linewidth associated with conduction electrons varies substantially, depending sensitively on the alkali metals used. It is clearly revealed that the linewidth is homogeneous and is strongly controlled by the spin-lattice relaxation times (T1) determined via the spin-orbit interactions of the small fraction of s electrons remaining on the alkali atoms. The results indicate that the electron transfer from the alkali atoms to C60 is not perfectly complete, with the remaining fraction being much greater in the tetrahedral sites than in the octahedral sites of the face-centered cubic lattice. 相似文献

We report on the first synthesis of Li-intercalated manganese-phthalocyanine (MnPc) in the bulk form and on the evolution of the structural and magnetic properties as a function of Li concentration, x. We find that solid beta-MnPc, which comprises rodlike assemblies of individual planar molecules, is best described as a glassy one-dimensional ferromagnet without three-dimensional ordering and that it can be quasi-continuously intercalated with Li up to x = 4, forming an isosymmetrical series of Li(x)[MnPc] phases. Inserted Li+ ions strongly bond to pyrrole-bridging nitrogen atoms of the Pc rings, thereby disrupting the ferromagnetic Mn-N(a)...Mn superexchange pathways. This gradually induces a crossover of the intrachain exchange interactions from ferromagnetic to antiferromagnetic as the doping level, x, increases coupled with a spin-state transition of the Mn2+ ions from intermediate spin, S = 3/2, to high spin, S = 5/2. 相似文献

We use the detrended fluctuation analysis (DFA) and the Grassberger–Proccacia analysis (GP) methods in order to study language characteristics. Despite that we construct our signals using only word lengths or word frequencies, excluding in this way huge amount of information from language, the application of GP analysis indicates that linguistic signals may be considered as the manifestation of a complex system of high dimensionality, different from random signals or systems of low dimensionality such as the Earth climate. The DFA method is additionally able to distinguish a natural language signal from a computer code signal. This last result may be useful in the field of cryptography. 相似文献

General formulae allowing the evaluation of the form factors of cyclic block copolymers are established and graphs for cyclic copolymers of the form (A-B)N are shown. WhenN is large, the linear and the cyclic copolymer have the same behaviour. It is possible to extend at large angle an analytical expression given for linear polymers.
