A zeolite NaA (LTA) membrane supported by an alumina porous support tube for pervaporation (PV) dehydration of ethanol was characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) using a focused ion beam (FIB) thin-layer specimen preparation technique and by Fourier transform infrared attenuated total reflectance method (FTIR-ATR) using a diamond prism as the waveguide. FIB-TEM clearly presented cross-section images up to about 15 microm depth from the membrane surface. FTIR-ATR monitored the Si-O asymmetric stretching vibration spectrum. The Si-O spectrum was compared with the TEM image and their relationships were discussed. By combining the two methods, we could study the thickness of surface LTA crystals, the grain boundary, the LTA/alumina interface structure and the crystallinity and density of materials inside of the alumina porous support. Consequently, fine structure changes of the LTA membrane corresponding to the hydrothermal synthesis condition could be sensitively detected.  相似文献

The motion of a moored floating body under the action of wave forces, which is influenced by fluid forces, shape of the floating body and mooring forces, should be analysed as a complex coupled motion system. Especially under severe storm conditions or resonant motion of the floating body it is necessary to consider finite amplitude motions of the waves, the floating body and the mooring lines as well as non-linear interactions of these finite amplitude motions. The problem of a floating body has been studied on the basis of linear wave theory by many researchers. However, the finite amplitude motion under a correlated motion system has rarely been taken into account. This paper presents a numerical method for calculating the finite amplitude motion when a floating body is moored by non-linear mooring lines such as chains and cables under severe storm conditions.  相似文献

We fabricated nanoscale open-dot structures in an InAs surface inversion layer using an atomic-force-microscope oxidation process. Due to its superior nanofabrication capability, small open-dot structures with the feature size ranging between 100 and 300 nm were successfully fabricated. The magnetoresistance signal measured at 4.2 K showed reproducible fluctuations and a periodic oscillation component that varies in both amplitude and periodicity depending on the dot size. We show that the period of the oscillations corresponds to that of the Aharonov–Bohm effect and propose that the possible mechanism for the oscillations is due to the formation of a one-dimensional electron channel enclosing the open-dot structure as a result of the electron transfer from the InAs oxide to InAs.  相似文献

The first successful example of the formation of polycarbonate from 1-atm carbon dioxide and epoxide was demonstrated by the alternating copolymerization of carbon dioxide and epoxide with manganese porphyrin as a catalyst. The copolymerization of carbon dioxide and cyclohexene oxide with (porphinato)manganese acetate proceeded under the 1-atm pressure of carbon dioxide to give a copolymer with an alternating sequence. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In the present work we study the photonic band structure (PBS) and the polarization state of the Bloch eigenmodes of a two-dimensional magnetophotonic crystal (MPC) with square lattice formed from magneto-optically (MO) active cylinders. The refraction of light at the boundary of the MPC is analyzed. We found that both—the PBS and eigenmodes of the MPC—are most significantly altered by the MO activity in the vicinity of the degeneracies. For this case we demonstrated the possibility of an abrupt change in the propagation direction of light by the application of a magnetic field. For the Bloch wave vectors and frequencies corresponding to non-degenerate branches, the alteration of the PBS is shown to be negligible and eigenmodes almost completely coincide with linearly TE- and/or TM-polarized eigenmodes of the non-magnetic photonic crystal.  相似文献

Various topological properties of projective duality between real projective varieties and their duals are obtained by making use of the microlocal theory of (subanalytically) constructible sheaves developed by Kashiwara [M. Kashiwara, Index theorem for constructible sheaves, Astérisque 130 (1985) 193-209] and Kashiwara-Schapira [M. Kashiwara, P. Schapira, Sheaves on Manifolds, Grundlehren Math. Wiss., vol. 292, Springer, Berlin-Heidelberg-New York, 1990]. In particular, we prove in the real setting some results similar to the ones proved by Ernström in the complex case [L. Ernström, Topological Radon transforms and the local Euler obstruction, Duke Math. J. 76 (1994) 1-21]. For this purpose, we describe the characteristic cycles of topological Radon transforms of constructible functions in terms of curvatures of strata in real projective spaces.  相似文献

The complex Young's modulus, E*(ω), and the complex strain-optical coefficient, O*(ω), which is the ratio of the birefringence to the strain, were measured for polyisoprene (PIP) over a frequency range of 1 ~ 130 Hz and a temperature range of 22 ~ ?100°C. The imaginary part of O*, O″, was positive at low frequencies and negative at high frequencies. The real part, O′, was always positive and showed a maximum. The complicated behavior of O* could be understood by the assumption that E* = ER* + EG* and O* = CRER* + CGEG*, where ER* and EG* were complex quantities and CR and CG were constants. The CR value, equal to the ordinary stress-optical coefficient measured in the rubbery plateau zone, was 2.0 × 10?9 Pa?1. The CG value, defined as the ratio O″/E″ in the glassy zone, was ?1.1 × 10?11 Pa?1. The EG*, which was the major component of E* in the glassy zone, showed almost the same frequency dependence as that of polystyrene and polycarbonate. The ER*, which was dominant in the rubbery zone, was described well by the bead-spring theory. The temperature dependence of the EG* was stronger than that of the ER*. This difference caused the breakdown of the thermorheological simplicity for E* and O* around the glass-to-rubber transition zone. © 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

The limiting molar conductances ° of deuterium chloride DCl in D2O were determined as a function of pressure and temperature in order to examine the proton-jump mechanism in detail. The excess deuteron conductances °E(D +), as estimated by the equation [°E(D +) = °(DCl/D 2 O) – °(KCl/D 2 O)], increases with an increase in the pressure and temperature as well as the excess proton conductance [°E(H +) = °(HCl/H 2 O) – °(KCl/H 2 O)]. The isotope effect on the excess conductances, however, depends on the pressure and temperature contrary to the model proposed by Conway et al.: °E(H +)/°E(D +) decreases with increasing pressure and temperature. The magnitude of the decrease with pressure becomes more prominent at lower temperature. These results are discussed in terms of the pre-rotation of adjacent water molecules, the bending of hydrogen bonds with pressure, and the difference in strength of hydrogen bonds between D2O and H2O.  相似文献
