A diamond-like carbon (DLC) coated quartz glass sample holder is used in a portable total reflection X-ray fluorescence (TXRF) spectrometer. A spot area of a water sample on the DLC sample holder becomes smaller than that on a quartz glass sample holder usually used in TXRF analysis because DLC is more hydrophobic. Therefore, the use of the DLC sample holder enhances fluorescent X-rays reaching a detector compared with the use of a quartz glass sample holder, leading to improvement in detection sensitivity. A detection limit of 28 pg is achieved for Cr in a river water sample when using the DLC sample holder.  相似文献

Reactions involving phenol derivatives and acyl chlorides have to be controlled for competitive O-acylations and C-acylations (Friedel-Crafts acylations and Fries rearrangements) in acidic condition. The extent for these reactions in trifluoromethanesulfonic acid (TfOH), which is used as catalyst and solvent, is examined. Although diluted TfOH was needed for effective O-acylation, concentrated TfOH was required for effective C-acylations in mild condition. These results have been applied to the novel synthesis of homotyrosine derivatives. Both Fries rearrangement of N-TFA-Asp(OBn)-OMe and Friedel-Crafts acylation of phenol with N-TFA-Asp(Cl)-OMe in TfOH afforded the homotyrosine skeleton, followed by reduction and deprotection afforded homotyrosines maintaining stereochemistry of Asp as an optically pure form.  相似文献

The Stokes system with a discontinuous coefficient (Stokes interface problem) and its finite element approximations are considered. We firstly show a general error estimate. To derive explicit convergence rates, we introduce some appropriate assumptions on the regularity of exact solutions and on a geometric condition for the triangulation. We mainly deal with the MINI element approximation and then consider P1-iso-P2/P1 element approximation. Results are expected to give an instructive remark in numerical analysis for two-phase flow problems.  相似文献

Cystathionine was cleaved into 2-ketobutyric acid, cysteine and ammonia by cystathionase. 2-Ketobutyric acid was converted into 3-ethyl-2-hydroxy-6,7-dimethoxyquinoxaline (EHDQ) by reaction with 1,2-diamino-4,5-dimethoxybenzene. When EHDQ was measured in a mobile phase of pH 2.1 using high-performance liquid chromatography with ultraviolet detection, 250 pmol of L-cystathionine in 250 microliters of the reaction mixture could be determined. Because EHDQ has a strong fluorescence in a mobile phase of pH 6.5 at 447 nm, on excitation at 365 nm, as little as 2.5 pmol of cystathionine in 250 microliters of the reaction mixture could be determined by high-performance liquid chromatography with fluorimetric detection. Cystathionase activity was assayed on the basis of the same principle by determining cystathionine in as little as 63 ng of rat liver by fluorimetric detection. Cystathionine beta-synthase activity was measured by the same method by determining cystathionine formed in only 113 ng of wet weight of rat liver. Using these methods, both cystathionine beta- and gamma-lyase activities in Saccharomyces cerevisiae were determined, because quinoxaline derivatives from pyruvate and 2-ketobutyrate could be measured simultaneously by high-performance liquid chromatography.  相似文献

Time-resolved reflectance of an optical pulse in adult head models including non-scattering cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) has been analyzed by the finite difference time domain (FDTD) analysis formulated by the authors. Averaged light intensity and mean time of flight dependences on the source-detector separations calculated by the FDTD analysis are in good agreement with previous experiments, hybrid finite element method (FEM) and Monte Carlo calculations, which justify the FDTD analysis. Based on the analysis, time-resolved reflectance sensitivities to detect optical property changes in brain have been analyzed. As a result, it has been become clear that the sensitivities to detect absorption changes of brain are enhanced in time-resolved reflectance compared to the sensitivities in averaged light intensity, whereas the sensitivities to detect scattering property changes of brain are almost the same in time-resolved reflectance and in averaged light intensity. © 2005 The Optical Society of Japan  相似文献

Ribbon-form Sendust was prepared by a roll quenching method. The size of the ribbon was 20∼110 μm thick, 2∼8 mm wide and 5∼10 m long. The normal direction of the ribbon plane was parallel to the [100] as well as the [110] axes, and no preferential directions exist within the ribbon plane. Vickers hardnessH v of the as-prepared ribbon was 563±7, decreased with increasing the annealing time and became almost constant. The minimum bending diameter of the as-prepared ribbon was 8 mm and increased gradually with increase of the annealing time. Initial permeability of the 84.80 Fe·9.50 Si·5.70 Al ribbon was about 34,000 in the frequency range from 1 to 3kHz and decreased to be 10,000 at 85 kHz. The permeability of the molded core in a resin was about 21,000 in the frequency range from 1 to 3 kHz.  相似文献
