Electrochemical oxidation of thio/carbohydrazide and their hydrazone derivatives Benzaldehyde thiocarbohydrazone [BTCH] diacetylene
thiocarbohydrazone [DATCH] have been studied in Brit-ton Robinson buffer in aqueous and nonaqueous media at a glassy carbon
electrode. The effects of pH, sweep rate, concentration, temperature and surfactants have been studied. The complex bis (carbo/thiocabohydrazide) Zn(II) chloride was also subjected to voltammetric analysis in order to understand the reactivity
both in free and metal bound states. The reaction conditions were optimized for the determination of above compounds in micrograms

Protonation constant of an unsymmetrical Schiff base, salicylidene(N-benzoyl)glycyl hydrazone (SalBzGH), and formation constants
of its complexes have been determined potentiometrically at different temperatures in aqueous dioxane medium. Complexes of
SalBzGH with VO(IV), Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II) and Hg(II) have been prepared. Elemental analyses, pH-metric,
molar conductance, magnetic susceptibility, electronic, IR, ESR, XRD (powder) and NMR studies have been carried out to study
the coordination behaviour of SalBzGH toward these metal ions. pH-metric and 1H NMR studies show the presence of two dissociable
protons in the ligand. IR and NMR spectra suggest the tridentate nature of the ligand, coordinating as a uninegative species
in the Mn(II) complex and as a dinegative species in all the other complexes. Presence of two different conformers of the
ligand at room temperature and stabilization of a single conformer upon complex formation have been established from1H NMR spectra of the metal-free ligand, Zn(II) and Hg(II) complexes recorded at 296 K. Electronic and ESR spectra indicate
highly distorted tetragonal geometry for VO(IV) and Cu(II) complexes. XRD powder patterns of the Zn(II) complexes are indexed

Quenching of fluorescence from Na(32
P) and K(42
P) atoms by various collision partners was studied at 973 and 1273K. Excited alkali atoms were produced photolytically by excimer
laser light at 193nm. For each collision pair, the appropriate relative velocity was computed and used to evaluate the quenching
cross-section from the measured rate constants. Cross sections for CO2, O2 and N2 are large (10–60Å2) while for Ar, the values are <1 Å2. The results are compared with those of previous investigations as a function of relative velocity. Finally, implications
for combustion diagnostics are briefly discussed.

Erika Mares introduced the concepts of semi-perfectness and perfectness for projective modules, generalised the structure theorems of H. Bass and obtained results on the endomorphism rings of such modules. The present author has carried out an extensive study of endomorphism rings of various types of modules with two of his collaborators [3], [9]. In particular the concept of semi-perfectness was extended to modules not necessarily projective and results similar to those of Erika Mares obtained for quasi-projective semi-perfect modules. The object of the present paper is to extend the concept of perfectness to modules which are not necessarily projective and obtain results similar to those of Erika Mares, Roger Ware etc. concerning these modules. 相似文献

The problems of choosing the optimal mathematical model for a prescribed range of parameters of a pulsed action are discussed.
A preliminary analysis performed by similarity and dimensional-analysis methods using interpolation equations of state of
the matter shows that the complete system of equations of gasdynamics can be simplified by dropping individual terms which
are not important in a given parameter range. The results of an analysis are presented in the form of nomograms, which also
make it possible to identify the class of fast and energy-intensive gasdynamic processes more accurately than at an intuitive
level.

The solvent extraction of cobalt(II), nickel(II) and copper(II) using 2,4-pent-dione (Hacac) and 4-phenyl-2, 4-but-dione (Hbzac)
is carried out by varying the reagent concentration and pH of the aqueous phase. Each of these metals is quantitatively separated
(≈ 98%) from their binary mixtures with monovalent (Ag), divalent (Mn, Zn, Cd, Hg, Mg, Sn, Pb) and trivalent (Cr, Fe) metals.
The extraction constants are calculated from the metal distribution data using linear regression analysis. The extracted species
is MA2 in each case. A most significant result is separation of copper(II) from iron(III) which otherwise interferes when extracted
