Development of a volatile amine sensor for the monitoring of fish spoilage   总被引:8,自引:0,他引:8  
A sensor with potential for the development of a “chemical barcode” for real-time monitoring of fish freshness is described. This on-package sensor contains a pH sensitive dye, bromocresol green, that responds through visible colour change to basic volatile spoilage compounds, such as trimethylamine (TMA), ammonia (NH3) and dimethylamine (DMA) collectively known as Total Volatile Basic Nitrogen (TVB-N). The sensor characteristics were studied as well as its response with standard ammonia gas. Trials on cod and under-utilised species have verified that the sensor response correlates with bacterial growth patterns in fish samples thus enabling the “real-time” monitoring of spoilage in various fish species. The sensor response can be interrogated with a simple, inexpensive reflectance colorimeter that we have developed based on two light emitting diodes (LEDs) and a photodetector.  相似文献

In this paper a model of general financial equilibrium with policy interventions is introduced, which yields the optimal composition of assets and liabilities in each sector's portfolio, as well as the market prices for each instrument. The policy interventions considered are taxes and price ceilings. The variational inequality formulation of the equilibrium conditions is derived and then utilized to establish existence and uniqueness properties of the solution pattern. An algorithm is proposed for the computation of the problem. Finally, the algorithm is applied to some special utility functions as numerical examples.  相似文献

The hydraulic characteristics in subchannels of axially finned rod bundles installed in the Korea Multipurpose Research Reactor (KMRR) were measured using one-component laser-Doppler velocimetry (LDV). Pressure drops for each component, time mean axial velocity, and axial turbulent intensity were measured. Then the friction factors in rod bundles were estimated from the measured pressure drops. The turbulent crossflow mixing rate between neighboring subchannels was evaluated from the measured data. The results show that (1) the friction factors for axially finned rod bundles are less than those given by Moody's correlation for smooth tubes, and (2) as the flow develops, the turbulent crossflow mixing rate between neighboring subchannels decreases and, in the developed region, the values level out.  相似文献

An infinite homogeneous d-dimensional medium initially is at zero temperature. A heat impulse is applied at the origin, raising the temperature there to a value greater than a constant value u0>0. The temperature at the origin then decays, and when it reaches u0, another equal-sized heat impulse is applied at a normalized time τ1=1. Subsequent equal-sized heat impulses are applied at the origin at the normalized times τn, n=2,3,…, when the temperature there has decayed to u0. This sequence of normalized waiting times τn can be defined recursively by a difference equation and its asymptotic behavior was known recently. This heat conduction problem was first studied in [J. Difference Equations Appl. 3 (1997) 89–91].

A natural subsequent question is what happens if the problem is set in a finite region, like in a laboratory, with the temperature at the boundary being kept zero forever. In this paper we obtain the asymptotic behavior of the heating times for the one-dimensional case.  相似文献

The influence of phosphate glass electrode in the configuration of resistive plate chamber has been studied using GEANT3.21 Monte Carlo code. Bakelite electrodes were replaced by phosphate glass electrodes, as these glass materials have low bulk resistivity, are portable and easy to handle. These types of RPCs in their compact form of all materials are suitable for high rate background environment. We find that these new types of RPCs give little higher response to γ-rays and e+/e particles, both for single-and double gap RPCs. The results of simulation are discussed.   相似文献

The crystal and molecular structure of trimethyltin(IV) chloride has been determined by the heavy-atom technique, and refined to a final R value of 0.041 for 1375 independent reflections (2θ < 53°; Mo-Ka radiation I > 2σ(I)) recorded at 138 ± 2 K on a Nonius CAD-4 counter diffractometer. The crystals are monoclinic with space group I2/c; a 12.541(8), b 9.618(11), c 11.015(11) Å, β 92.62(7)°, Z = 8, Dcalcd 1.994 g cm−3. The needle crystals are composed of polymeric chains of chlorine atoms bridging non-planar trimethyltin(IV) units at unequal (2.430(2) and 3.269(2) Å) distances. The zig-zag chains are bent at chlorine (angle Sn---Cl Sn 150.30(9)°), but nearly linear at tin (angle Cl---Sn Cl 176.85(6)°) to describe a distorted trigonal bipyramidal geometry at tin with the trimethyltin groups eclipsed. The interchain d(Sn Cl) distances are greater than 4.1 Å. The angles carbon—tin—carbon (mean 117.1(3)°) are larger than tetrahedral, while the angles carbon—tin—chlorine (mean 99.9(2) Å) are smaller, in accord with isovalent hybridization principles, but more severely distorted than in the gas-phase, monomeric structure. The tin—chlorine distance of 2.430(2) Å is also longer than in the gas phase monomer, and the intermolecular contact of 3.269 Å is shorter than in other organotin chloride bridged systems (sum of Van der Waals radii 3.85 Å).  相似文献

An average cobalt hyperfine field in a Co80P20 amorphous alloy has been determined by measuring the intensity of γ-rays emitted from oriented 60Co nuclei. A value of 134 ± 4 kOe is obtained and the sign of the field is negative.  相似文献
