SmI2 was used as reducing agent for the N-O bond cleavage in isoxazolidines. The procedure revealed is general and particularly useful for the transformation of 5-spirocyclopropane isoxazolidines to the corresponding β-aminocyclopropanols, a troublesome transformation with other known reagents.  相似文献

Mononuclear (Me3TACN)MnX3 compounds, where X is Cl, Br, or N3, and Me3TACN is 1,4,7-N,N′,N″-trimethyl-1,4,7-triazacyclononane, have been tested for catalyzing both sulfide oxygenation and styrene epoxidation by tert-butyl hydroperoxide (TBHP) and display turnover frequencies (TOF) up to 200 h−1 at room temperature. Sulfoxides or sulfones may be produced selectively by varying reaction conditions. Product distribution from the oxygenation reactions of ethyl phenyl sulfide, 2-chloroethyl phenyl sulfide, and styrene is consistent with a mechanism involving an early single-electron transfer (SET) step.  相似文献

The biosynthesis of the unusual amino acid 4-methylproline in the Nostoc genus of cyanobacteria was investigated on the genetic and enzymatic level. Two genes involved in the biosynthesis were cloned and the corresponding enzymes, a zinc-dependent long-chain dehydrogenase and a Delta(1)-pyrroline-5-carboxylic acid (P5C) reductase homologue, were overexpressed in Escherichia coli and biochemically characterized. Putative substrates were synthesized to test enzyme substrate specificities, and deuterium labeling studies were carried out to reveal the stereospecificities of the enzymatic reactions with respect to the substrates as well as to the coenzymes.  相似文献

Treatment of pyridine borane (Py.BH3) with iodine, bromine, or strong acids affords activated Py.BH2X complexes that are capable of hydroborating alkenes at room temperature. Evidence is presented for an unusual hydroboration mechanism involving leaving group displacement. In contrast to THF.BH3, hydroboration with Py.BH2I selectively affords the monoadducts. The crude hydroboration products are converted into synthetically useful potassium alkyltrifluoroborate salts upon treatment with methanolic KHF2.  相似文献

During the condensation of 4-methyl-4-phenyl-3-thiosemicarbazide (3) with 2,3-butanedione an unexpected by-product, 8a-methyl-6,8a-dihydro-8-methyl-2-[N-methyl-N-phenylamino]-5H-1,3,4-thiadiazolo[3,2-d][1,2,4]triazine-5-thione, (5) was obtained in addition to the desired bis(thiosemicarbazone) (4). An X-ray crystal structure was obtained and is presented together with a proposed mechanism for its formation. A brief investigation of the coordination chemistry of bicycle (5) was carried out. The formation of cyclic compounds during the synthesis of analogues with extended backbones is also described.  相似文献

An analytic expression for the electromagnetic enhancement of the spontaneous emission rate and Raman scattering cross-section for an excited atom or molecule in close proximity to a metal nanocylinder has been derived by quantum theory. Coupling of the atomic or molecular optical radiation into the TM0 surface plasmon mode of the nanocylinder results in reradiation by the cylinder, a process that is most efficient when the incident radiation is linearly polarized, with the electric field oriented parallel to the axis of the nanocylinder. For a silver cylinder having a radius and length of 5 and 20 nm, respectively, the enhancement in the spontaneous emission rate is >10(7) for variant Planck's over 2pi omega0 approximately 2.4 eV (lambda=514 nm), which corresponds to an increase of approximately 10(14) in the Raman scattering cross section. This result, as well as the prediction that the atomic dipole generates broadband, femtosecond pulses, are in qualitative agreement with previously reported experiments involving metal nanoparticle aggregates. The theoretical results described here are expected to be of value in guiding future nonlinear optical experiments in which carbon nanotubes or metal nanowires with controllable physical and electrical characteristics are patterned onto a substrate and coupled with emitting atoms or molecules.  相似文献

The development of express method for detection of endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDC) such as alkylphenols is required for ecological monitoring. Several attempts have been made to produce antibodies against 4-nonylphenol (NP) in recent years. This work describes the production of new antibodies against NP and also summarizes the characterization of antibodies obtained earlier. Three approaches used to produce alkylphenol-specific antibodies are compared; these are based on: 1. omega-(4-hydroxyphenyl)nonanoic or omega-(4-hydroxyphenyl)heptanoic acid NP derivatives designed to mimic the linear NP isomer; 2. 4-aminophenol, which potentially mimics various substituted phenolic compounds with different side-chain structures at position 4 of the benzene ring; and 3. a mixture of branched NP isomers, conjugated to the carrier protein via a benzene ring by the Mannich reaction, and expected to be the closest mimic of NP structure by preserving its natural alkyl moiety.Fluorescence polarization immunoassays based on different combinations of antibody and labeled antigen for screening detection of NP were developed and structural aspects of assay sensitivity and specificity were investigated. The assays based on the antisera raised against omega-(4-hydroxyphenyl)nonanoic acid and NP conjugate via Mannich reaction are capable of express detection of NP with detection limit of 7 microg mL(-1 )and assay dynamic range of 18-300 microg mL(-1).  相似文献

The photolysis of virgin PVC powder suspended in water, methanol, n-hexane, aqueous NH4OH (30 wt-%), and 0.1 wt-% iodine in methanol and also as dry powder was studied. The mechanism of photolysis of PVC powder has been investigated by using ESR spectroscopy, conductivity titration, gel-permeation chromatography (GPC), and absorption spectroscopy. Photolysis of PVC has been found to occur by a free-radical mechanism. ESR spectroscopy permits a partial identification of several different types of free radicals in PVC such as alkyl, polyenyl, and peroxy radicals. An interpretation is proposed of the mechanism of formation of conjugated polyene structures, and also a new explanation of the crosslinking mechanism, in which transfer of unpaired electrons to double bonds occurs, is suggested. It has also been found that conjugated double bonds can photosensitize free-radical formation as a result of increased ultraviolet absorption due to polyene structures.  相似文献
