Summary A study has been promoted by NASA to evaluate the scientific return and the technological problems of a close-to-the-Sun mission (Solar Probe). It has come out that using current technology it is possible to deliver at 4 solar radii from the Sun's centre a scientific payload with such performances to allow a great improvement of our understanding of the coronal phenomena. The mission concept currently under study uses planetary encounters to reach the required orbit. The final orbit period is 2.5 years, the estimated mission duration about 9 years. The orbit inclination is such as to give the maximum coverage in terms of heliographic latitude. During the perihelion phases a conical structure shields the spacecraft from the intense solar radiation. Paper presented at the V Cosmic Physics National Conference, S. The polarization asymmetries related to usual polarizations combine at least 4 different helicity amplitudes. The introduction of ±45° inclined transverse polarizations allows us to obtain the complete set of new polarization asymmetries combining only up to 3 helicity amplitudes. There are no further polarization asymmetries depending on a smaller number of helicity amplitudes. These expressions are most economical to determine the helicity amplitudes from observed data. Some of them are suitable to study especially the spin-flip effects. We give a complete Table of all such polarization asymmetries.  相似文献

Coulomb systems in which the particles interact through thed-dimensional Coulomb potential but are confined in a flat manifold of dimensiond–1 are considered. The actual Coulomb potential acting is defined by particular boundary conditions involving a characteristic macroscopic distanceW in the direction perpendicular to the manifold: either it is periodic of periodW in that direction, or it vanishes on one ideal conductor wall parallel to the manifold at a distanceW from it, or it vanishes on two parallel walls at a distanceW from each other with the manifold equidistant from them. Under the assumptions that classical equilibrium statistical mechanics is applicable and that the system has the macroscopic properties of a conductor, it is shown that the suitably smoothed charge correlation function is universal, and that the free energy and the grand potential have universal dependences onW (universal means independent of the microscopic detail). The casesd=2 are discussed in detail, and the generic results are checked on an exactly solvable model. For atmospheric purposes, the N2- and O2-, or Air-broadenings of selected transitions of ozone have been investigated in the 195-300 K temperature range. More precisely, the following 13 transitions in the 280-345 GHz frequency range have been studied: the 22,0 ← 21,1 (279.5 GHz), 242,22 ← 241,23 (286.2 GHz), 32,2 ← 31,3 (286.3 GHz), 52,4 ← 51,5 (293.2 GHz), 134,10 ← 143,11 (300.7 GHz), 140,14 ← 131,13 (301.8 GHz), 72,6 ← 71,7 (303.2 GHz), 262,24 ← 261,25 (315.9 GHz), 53,3 ← 62,4 (317.2 GHz), 201,19 ← 200,20 (320.0 GHz), 266,20 ← 275,23 (343.2 GHz), 262,24 ← 253,23 (343.2 GHz), and 43,1 ← 52,4 (343.5 GHz) lines. Systematic errors are known to be the principal error source and recent intercomparisons of line-broadening coefficients showed differences up to 20%, thus a large effort in minimizing systematic error sources has been taken and cross check measurements with different techniques have been carried out. The conclusion of the intercomparison performed indicates an excellent agreement of the results and that an uncertainty less than 3%, which also takes into account the systematic errors, can be claimed for the line-broadening parameters.  相似文献

The propagation of a pencil beam in a circuital system of tunnel-coupled waveguides is considered. It is shown that the beam periodically focuses into a point when moving along the trajectory. A maximal number of waveguides supporting the propagation of the beam can be estimated in simple terms. The cross-sectional area of the waveguides can be subdivided into three zone with the beam pulsing only in the central one.  相似文献

A general method for solving the problem of quantization of a top is proposed that allows for finding the Hamiltonian eigenfunctions in the form of polynomials of various degree n in the Cartesian coordinates with the use of the Lamé functions. All three coordinates x, y, and z are equivalently involved in computations, as well as their relations with ellipsoidal coordinates, which makes the computations symmetric.  相似文献
