Two-phase formation of nitrophenols at the radiolysis of nitrobenzene-water emulsions

Two-phase additivity rule for radiation yields of p-nitrophenol, m-nitrophenol and p-nitrosophenol has been demonstrated. The data of partial radiation yields indicated that the nitrobenzene phase is by several times more reactive than a water phase /H₂O, 3M HNO₃ or 1.5M H₂SO₄/ in respect of nitrophenols formation.     

Index transforms forn-dimensional DFT's

Summary In this paper fundamental theorems are proved for computing the so called index transforms which mapm-dimensional discrete Fourier transform operator (DFT) ton-dimensional one. These transforms are based on mapping indexes of input and output sequences of DFT operators. The general form of these transforms is found and the necessary and sufficient conditions of their existence are described.     

Potentiometric and volumetric determination of 6-mercaptopurine

Three methods for the determination of 6-mercaptopurine in the pure state and in tablets are described. One method is based on the reaction of this compound with silver ions, whereby an equivalent amount of nitric acid is liberated, the latter being determined potentiometrically with sodium hydroxide. The other two methods involve titration with chloramine-T, with potentiometric and visual end-point-detection. All methods afford accurate and reproducible results and can be used for routine assay of 6-mercaptopurine in tablets.     

Asymptotically exact a posteriori error estimator for biquadratic elements

This paper addresses the finite element method with a posteriori error estimation for elements of degree p = 1 and p = 2. It gives the formulae for the error indicators and error estimators. Basic mathematical characterizations of the estimators are given and it is shown that the estimators for p = 1 and p = 2 have different structures. Numerical examples show the effectivity of the approach and the high quality of the estimator.     

Interplay among the azimuthally dependent HBT radii and the elliptic flow

We present a calculation of the elliptic flow and azimuthal dependence of the correlation radii in the ellipsoidally symmetric generalization of the Buda-Lund model. The elliptic flow is shown to depend only on the flow anisotropy while in case of correlation radii both flow and space anisotropy play an important role in determining their azimuthal oscillation. We also outline a simple procedure for determining the parameters of the model from data.
