Species with 2‐center, 3‐electron (2c/3e?) σ bonds are of interest owing to their fascinating electronic structures and potential for interesting reactivity patterns. Report here is the synthesis and characterization of a pair of zerovalent (d9) trigonal pyramidal Rh and Ir complexes that feature 2c/3e? σ bonds to the Si atom of a tripodal tris(phosphine)silatrane ligand. X‐ray diffraction, continuous wave and pulse electron paramagnetic resonance, density‐functional theory calculations, and reactivity studies have been used to characterize these electronically distinctive compounds. The data available highlight a 2c/3e? bonding framework with a σ*‐SOMO of metal 4‐ or 5dz2 parentage that is partially stabilized by significant mixing with Si (3pz) and metal (5‐ or 6pz) orbitals. Metal‐ligand covalency thus buffers the expected destabilization of transition‐metal (TM)‐silyl σ*‐orbitals by d–p mixing, affording well‐characterized examples of TM–main group, and hence polar, 2c/3e? σ “half‐bonds”. 相似文献

The synthesis of three enamine hole‐transporting materials (HTMs) based on Tröger's base scaffold are reported. These compounds are obtained in a three‐step facile synthesis from commercially available materials without the need of expensive catalysts, inert conditions or time‐consuming purification steps. The best performing material, HTM3, demonstrated 18.62 % PCE in PSCs, rivaling spiro‐OMeTAD in efficiency, and showing markedly superior long‐term stability in non‐encapsulated devices. In dopant‐free PSCs, HTM3 outperformed spiro‐OMeTAD by a factror of 1.6. The high glass‐transition temperature (Tg=176 °C) of HTM3 also suggests promising perspectives in device applications. 相似文献

The photochemistry of urocanic acid is investigated theoretically by means of time-dependent density functional theory. The topology of the potential energy surface along the isomerization pathway and close to the Franck–Condon region is investigated and consequences for the photoisomerization reactions are outlined. A recently published supersonic jet spectroscopy study is reinterpreted in the light of these and earlier theoretical results to give a clear picture of the gas phase photochemistry. It is found that the photochemistry of the two isomers is fundamentally different, in contrast to the situation in solution. 相似文献

Despite the strong technological importance of lanthanide complexes, their formation processes are rarely investigated. This work is dedicated to determining the influence of synthesis parameters on the formation of [Ce(bipy)2(NO3)3] as well as Ce3+‐ and Tb3+‐substituted [La(bipy)2(NO3)3] (bipy = 2,2′‐bipyridine) complexes. To this end, we performed in situ luminescence measurements, synchrotron‐based X‐ray diffraction (XRD) analysis, infrared spectroscopy (IR), and measured pH value and/or ion conductivity during their synthesis process under real reaction conditions. For the [Ce(bipy)2(NO3)3] complex, the in situ luminescence measurements initially presented a broad emission band at 490 nm, assigned to the 5d→4f Ce3+ ions within the ethanolic solvation shell. Upon the addition of bipy, a red shift to 700 nm was observed. This shift was attributed to the changes in the environment of the Ce3+ ions, indicating their desolvation and incorporation into the [Ce(bipy)2(NO3)3] complex. The induction time was reduced from 8 to 3.5 min, by increasing the reactant concentration by threefold. In contrast, [La(bipy)2(NO3)3] crystallized within days instead of minutes, unless influenced by high Ce3+ and Tb3+ concentrations. Monitoring and controlling the influence of the reaction parameters on the structure of emissive complexes is important for the development of rational synthesis approaches and optimization of their structure‐related properties like luminescence. 相似文献

Histamine H4 receptor (H4R) orthologues are G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) that exhibit species-dependent basal activity. In contrast to the basally inactive mouse H4R (mH4R), human H4R (hH4R) shows a high degree of basal activity. We have performed long-timescale molecular dynamics simulations and rigidity analyses on wild-type hH4R, the experimentally characterized hH4R variants S179M, F169V, F169V+S179M, F168A, and on mH4R to investigate the molecular nature of the differential basal activity. H4R variant-dependent differences between essential motifs of GPCR activation and structural stabilities correlate with experimentally determined basal activities and provide a molecular explanation for the differences in basal activation. Strikingly, during the MD simulations, F16945.55 dips into the orthosteric binding pocket only in the case of hH4R, thus adopting the role of an agonist and contributing to the stabilization of the active state. The results shed new light on the molecular mechanism of basal H4R activation that are of importance for other GPCRs. 相似文献

The use of non-polar, small polymers as matrices for the analysis of low molecular weight compounds in polymer-assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry (PALDI-MS) is demonstrated. The matrices evaluated were either based on an oligothiophene or a benzodioxin backbone. Metallocenes, polycyclic hydrocarbons, a fluorosurfactant, and a subset of small organic compounds with various functionalities, served as model analytes. The mechanism of ionization charge transfer is discussed and ionization potentials for the matrices in the study have been estimated using density functional theory (DFT) calculations. Some of the results are possibly contradictory to the generally accepted limiting conditions for gas-phase charge-transfer reactions. These results are interpreted in the light of energy pooling. Also a new mass calibration procedure for the low-mass region in positive ion mode is presented, and some aspects of the ionization/desorption process leading to radical cations are studied. 相似文献
