Many researchers have focused their efforts on fatigue failures occurring on weld toes. In recent years, more and more fatigue failures occur on weld roots. Therefore, it is important to explore the behaviour of weld root fatigues. This paper investigates numerically the Magnification factors (Mk) for types of semi-elliptical cracks on the weld root of a T-butt joint. The geometry of the joint is determined by four important parameters: crack depth ratio, crack shape ratio, weld leg ratio and weld angle. A singular element approach is used to generate the corresponding finite element meshes. For each set of given four parameters of the semi-elliptical root crack, the corresponding T-butt joint is numerically simulated and its Mk at the deepest point of the weld root crack is obtained for the respective tension and shear loads. The variation range of the four parameters covers 750 cases for each load, totaling 1500 simulations are completed. The numerical results obtained are then represented by the curve to explore the effects of four parameters on the Mk. To obtain an approximate equation representing Mk as a function of the four parameters for each load, a multiple regression method is adopted and the related regression analysis is performed. The error distributions of the two approximate equations are compared with the finite element data. It is confirmed that the obtained approximate functions fit very well to the database from which they are derived. The photoluminescence of silicon-rich nitride (SRN) film was coupled with the surface plasmon (SP) of Ag island film. It shows that the photoluminescence (PL) enhancement or quenching is strongly dependent on the excitation wavelength. When the excitation wavelength is near the SP resonance spectral region, the Ag islands act as a photo antenna, leading to the enhancement of the excitation cross-sections and therefore the photoemission enhancement. Furthermore, it is demonstrated that the metal island size also has an influence on the emission enhancement, but the enhancement is much more decided by the excitation wavelength than by the Ag island radiative scattering. 相似文献

The UWA channel is characterized as a time-dispersive rapidly fading channel,which in addition exhibits Doppler instabilities and limited bandwidth. To eliminate intersymbol interference caused by multipath propagation, spatial diversity equalization is the main technical means. The paper combines the passive phase conjugation and spatial processing to maximize the output array gain. It uses signal-to-noise-plus-interference to evaluate the quality of signals received at different channels. The amplitude of signal is weighted using Sigmoid function. Second order PLL can trace the phase variation caused by channel, so the signal can be accumulated in the same phase. The signals received at different channels need to be normalized. It adopts fractional-decision feedback diversity equalizer(FDFDE) and achieves diversity equalization by using different channel weighted coefficients. The simulation and lake trial data processing results show that, the optimized diversity receiving equalization algorithm can improve communication system's ability in tracking the change of underwater acoustic channel,offset the impact of multipath and noise and improve the performance of communication system.The performance of the communication receiving system is better than that of the equal gain combination.
