On topological properties of the Hartman-Mycielski functor

We investigate some topological properties of a normal functorH introduced earlier by Radul which is some functorial compactification of the Hartman-Mycielski construction HM. We prove that the pair (H X, HMY) is homeomorphic to the pair (Q, σ) for each nondegenerated metrizable compactumX and each denseσ-compact subsetY.     

Greedy approximations for minimum submodular cover with submodular cost

It is well-known that a greedy approximation with an integer-valued polymatroid potential function f is H(γ)-approximation of the minimum submodular cover problem with linear cost where γ is the maximum value of f over all singletons and H(γ) is the γ-th harmonic number. In this paper, we establish similar results for the minimum submodular cover problem with a submodular cost (possibly nonlinear) and/or fractional submodular potential function f.

提出了测度空间（ＸＡ，）中测度稠密性和测度半稠密性的两个概念，在给定条件下证明了集代数ＦＡ在（Ｆ）中的测度稠密性及半集代数ＳＡ在（Ｓ）中的测度半稠密性；并将所得结果应用于线性赋范空间［ａ，ｂ］的可分性的证明。

A diffusive predator-prey model in heterogeneous environment

In this paper, we demonstrate some special behavior of steady-state solutions to a predator-prey model due to the introduction of spatial heterogeneity. We show that positive steady-state solutions with certain prescribed spatial patterns can be obtained when the spatial environment is designed suitably. Moreover, we observe some essential differences of the behavior of our model from that of the classical Lotka-Volterra model that seem to arise only in the heterogeneous case.     

Orlicz–John ellipsoids

The Orlicz–John ellipsoids, which are in the framework of the booming Orlicz Brunn–Minkowski theory, are introduced for the first time. It turns out that they are generalizations of the classical John ellipsoid and the evolved _Lp$L_p$ John ellipsoids. The analog of Ball's volume-ratio inequality is established for the new Orlicz–John ellipsoids. The connection between the isotropy of measures and the characterization of Orlicz–John ellipsoids is demonstrated.     

Orlicz mixed quermassintegrals

The notion of mixed quermassintegrals in the classical Brunn-Minkowski theory is extended to that of Orlicz mixed quermassintegrals in the Orlicz Brunn-Minkowski theory. The analogs of the classical Cauchy-Kubota formula, the Minkowski isoperimetric inequality and the Brunn-Minkowski inequality are established for this new Orlicz mixed quermassintegrals.     

覆盖近似空间的连续与同胚映射

利用一般映射研究了覆盖近似空间的一些性质,并证明了一些结论.接着定义了覆盖空间的粗糙连续映射及粗糙同胚映射.最后在覆盖粗糙连续映射和覆盖粗糙同胚映射的条件下,研究了两个覆盖近似空间的有关性质,进而在某种程度上为覆盖近似空间的分类提供了理论依据.
