The evolution of shock waves produced by 7 ns laser pulses in air is
investigated by time-resolved shadowgraph. A nodular structure of
the shock wave is observed. It is found that the origin of the
structure is the multi-longitudinal-microfocus caused by the
astigmatism of the laser beam. The spherical shock waves formed by
each microfocus expand gradually and collide with each other,

In this paper, we study complete manifolds equipped with smooth measures whose spectrum of the weighted Laplacian has an optimal positive lower bound and the m-dimensional Bakry–Émery Ricci curvature is bounded from below by some negative constant. In particular, we prove a splitting type theorem for complete smooth measure manifolds that have a finite-weighted volume end. In this article, we mainly investigate continuity, monotonicity and differentiability for the first eigenvalue of the p-Laplace operator along the Ricci flow on closed manifolds. We show that the first p-eigenvalue is strictly increasing and differentiable almost everywhere along the Ricci flow under some curvature assumptions.
In particular, for an orientable closed surface, we construct various monotonic quantities and prove that the first p-eigenvalue is differentiable almost everywhere along the Ricci flow without any curvature assumption, and therefore derive

In this paper, we prove a new Myers’ type diameter estimate on a complete connected Reimannian manifold which admits a bounded vector field such that the Bakry–Émery Ricci tensor has a positive lower bound. The result is sharper than previous Myers’ type results. Polarographic studies of solutions of uranium(VI) and nitrilotriacetic acid were carried out in perchlorate medium at ionic strength 0.25. Reversible and diffusion-controlled reduction waves were obtained in the pH range of 1.5–4.1. Above pH 4.1, the irreversible waves became reversible in the presence of acetate buffer. Four kinds of chelate species, UO2HX-, UO2X-, UO2(OH)X2- and UO2(Ac)X2-, were identified. The U(V)-NTA complex was unstable at high pH and completely dissocitated at pH 6.30. The effects of pH and ligand concentration on the wave parameters are discussed in detail. 相似文献

Synthesis, characterization, and interfacial properties of hydroxy-substituted alkyl benzenesulfonates, sodium 2-hydroxy-3-decyl-5-octylbenzenesulfonate (C10C8OHphSO3Na) and 2-hydroxy-3-octyl-5-decylbenzenesulfonate (C8C10OHphSO3Na), are reported. The dynamic dilational properties of the surfactants are expounded by means of oscillating the bubble/drop method at both water-air and water-decane interfaces. The distinct maxima appear in dilational modulus vs time curves in some cases, which is believed to be attributed to the change of surfactant conformation and the arrangement of surface layer. Our results show that the measurement of dynamic interfacial dilational properties is a powerful tool to probe the structure of the surfactant adsorption film. 相似文献

(1)H NMR chemical shift, spin-lattice relaxation time, spin-spin relaxation time, self-diffusion coefficient, and two-dimensional nuclear Overhauser enhancement (2D NOESY) measurements have been used to study the nonionic-ionic surfactant mixed micelles. Cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB) and sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) were used as the ionic surfactants and polyethylene glycol (23) lauryl ether (Brij-35) as the nonionic surfactant. The two systems are both with varying molar ratios of CTAB/Brij-35 (C/B) and SDS/Brij-35 (S/B) ranging from 0.5 to 2, respectively, at a constant concentration of 6 mM for Brij-35 in aqueous solutions. Results give information about the relative arrangement of the surfactant molecules in the mixed micelles. In the former system, the trimethyl groups attached to the polar heads of the CTAB molecules are located between the first oxy-ethylene groups next to the hydrophobic chains of Brij-35 molecules. These oxy-ethylene groups gradually move outward from the hydrophobic core of the mixed micelle with an increase in C/B in the mixed solution. In contrast to the case of the CTAB/Triton X-100 system, the long flexible hydrophilic poly oxy-ethylene chains, which are in the exterior part of the mixed micelles, remain coiled, but looser, surrounding the hydrophobic core. There is almost no variation in conformation of the hydrophilic chains of Brij-35 molecules in the mixed micelles of the SDS/Brij-35 system as the S/B increases. The hydrophobic chains of both CTAB and SDS are co-aggregated with Brij-35, respectively, in their mixed micellar cores. 相似文献

The dynamic dilational properties of branched alkyl benzene sulfonates at the air–water and decane–water interfaces were investigated
by drop shape analysis, and their lamella stability was measured. The influences of time, dilational frequency, and bulk concentration
on surface dilational elasticity and dilational viscosity were expounded. The results show that the molecular interaction
controls the nature of adsorption film during lower concentration range and the film behaves elastic in nature. During higher
concentration range, the diffusion-exchange process controls the dynamic dilational properties and the surface film shows
remarkable viscoelasticity. An increase in hydrophobic chain length enhances the molecular interaction, which results in the
increase of dilational parameters and lamella stability. The data correlation suggests that the ability to form a stable lamella
