We present what is to our knowledge a new approach to generating tunable blue light by cascaded nonlinear frequency conversion in a single LiTaO3 crystal. Simultaneous quasi-phase matching of an optical parametric generation process and a sum-frequency mixing process is achieved by means of structuring the crystal with a quasi-periodic optical superlattice. The spectral (wavelength tuning and bandwidth) and power characteristics of the blue-light generation are studied with a fixed-wavelength 532-nm picosecond laser and a wavelength-tunable nanosecond optical parametric oscillator (OPO) as the pump sources. By tuning the OPO wavelength, we could tune the blue output over approximately 20 nm. Temperature tuning of the blue output at a fixed pump wavelength of 532 nm was limited to approximately 1.5 nm. A maximum blue power of 15 microW was generated at a pump power of 0.5 mW, corresponding to an efficiency of 3%.  相似文献

The proposed structure of lasonolide A was synthesized employing radical cyclization reactions of beta-alkoxyacrylates for preparation of the tetrahydropyranyl units A and B, but the spectroscopic data did not match those of the natural product. The polymers containing ribose rings: poly(5'-acrylamido-5'-deoxy-1',2'-O-isopropylidene-alpha-D-ribose) (11), poly(5'-acrylamido-5'-deoxy-alpha-D-ribose) (12) and poly(5'-acrylamido-5'-deoxy-1'-O-methyl-D-ribose) (13) were prepared as enzyme mimics. Polymers 12 and 13 with free vic-cis-diol groups catalyzed the hydrolysis of phosphodiester (ethyl p-nitrophenyl phosphate and N-methylpyridinium 4-tert-butylcatechol cyclic phosphate) and phosphomonoester substrates with a rate acceleration of 10 approximately equal to 10(3) compared with the uncatalyzed reaction. They also catalyzed the reverse reactions, i.e., the esterification of phosphomonoester to phosphodiester and the phosphorylation of alcohols with phosphate ions. The catalytic activity was attributable to the vic-cis-diols of riboses on polymer chains, which formed hydrogen bonds with two phosphoryl oxygen atoms of phosphates so as to activate the phosphorus atoms to be attacked by nucleophiles. The catalytic activity was negligible for polymer 11 where vic-cis-diol groups were blocked with isopropylidene groups. The catalytic activity was attributable to the vic-cis-diols of riboses on polymer chains, which formed hydrogen bonds with two phosphoryl oxygen atoms of phosphates so as to activate the phosphorus atoms to be attacked by nucleophiles.  相似文献

Weakly associative lattice rings (wal-rings) are non-transitive generalizations of lattice ordered rings (l-rings). As is known, the class of l-rings which are subdirect products of linearly ordered rings (i.e. the class of f-rings) plays an important role in the theory of l-rings. In the paper, the classes of wal-rings representable as subdirect products of to-rings and ao-rings (both being non-transitive generalizations of the class of f-rings) are characterized and the class of wal-rings having lattice ordered positive cones is described. Moreover, lexicographic products of weakly associative lattice groups are also studied here.  相似文献

Equivalence of sketches S and T means the equivalence of their categories ModS and ModT of all Set-valued models. E. Vitale and the second author have characterized equivalence of limit-sketches by means of bimodels, where a bimodel for limit sketches S and T is a model of S in the category ModT. For general sketches, we show that an analogous result holds provided that ModT is substituted by a more complex category; e.g., in case of limit-coproduct sketches, that category is (ModT), the free product completion of ModT.  相似文献

The Nd:YAG (1.444 m) and Cr:Tm:Ho:YAG (2.1 m) free-running laser systems of the output energy of 300 mJ per pulse and repetition rate 1 Hz have been developed and used for bile duct stones fragmentation study in vitro. A total of 67 human bile duct stones of known sizes, collected from surgical sources were used in the experiments. Insensitivity of the stones fragmentation to the type of the laser used, and insensitivity of the fragmentation efficiency to the type of stone, was observed. No pathological changes of the tissue were observed for non-human soft tissue laser irradiation (in vitro) by 1, 2, and 5 pulses of the Cr:Th:Ho:YAG radiation of the fluency of 1.6 J/cm2. The lasers are found to be good candidates for laser lithotripsy.  相似文献
