In this study a novel technique for 2D spray temperature measurement is presented. For this purpose the thermographic phosphor (TP) Mg4GeO5.5F:Mn was dispersed in n-dodecane and atomised using a conventional semi solid-cone nozzle. The thermographic phosphor was excited electronically by a frequency tripled Nd:YAG laser (355 nm). An ICCD-camera in combination with an image doubler detected the subsequently emitted phosphorescence at both peak emission wavelengths located at 633 nm and 659 nm, respectively. Utilising suitable calibration measurements, the local spray temperature was determined by evaluating the intensity ratio of both emission wavelengths. To the knowledge of the authors this is the first approach of spray temperature measurement exploiting the temperature dependent intensity ratio of thermographic phosphors. The paper concentrates on poly(vinyl chloride) - PVC - from the point of nanocomposite characterisation through thermal degradation of samples, evolution of the changes caused by elevating temperature using TGA, FTIR and Congo Red methods combined with morphological characterisation by XRD and TEM analyses. A novel method of PVC-paste/nanocomposite preparation while processing was used. During preparation, PVC plasticizer was mixed with clay, both natural and organophilic, and the suspension was then compounded with the other components. Two factors were followed: effect of shearing alone, and in combination with temperature. As is presented, the type of nano-filler and its chemical modifier have obvious influence on final properties either thermal or morphological. Presented contribution follows previous part of investigation and brings further information from PVC-paste/nanocomposite field. 相似文献

We have investigated the magnetic, electrical transport and electron spin resonance (ESR) properties of polycrystalline Nd0.85Na0.15MnO3 prepared by sol–gel method. A ferromagnetic–paramagnetic (FM–PM) transition is observed around 110 K, which is not accompanied by a metal–insulator transition. The sample displays the complete PM state associated with the ESR spectra fitted by single Lorentzian line shape above 130 K. Below 130 K, ESR spectra become distorted and then linewidth increases rapidly, where short-range magnetic order develops and coexists with PM phase due to the inhomogeneous magnetic state. In addition, the large difference between the activation energies obtained from the resistivity and ESR parameters (peak-to-peak linewidth and line intensity) at the frame of adiabatic small polaron hopping model is pointed out for Nd0.85Na0.15MnO3. 相似文献

This study investigates a holographic recording effect of biphotonic polarization gratings (BPGs) written on dye-doped liquid crystal (DDLC) films. One linearly polarized green light (λG = 514.5 nm) and a polarization-modulated interference pattern formed by two mutually coherent orthogonal (±45° with respect to the polarization of the green light) polarized red lights simultaneously excite the DDLC films to generate a BPG. The formation of BPGs depends primarily on the dichroism of the dye molecules and a sequence of mechanisms: photoisomerization, anisotropic adsorption and inhibition of dye adsorption. The cis-isomer absorbance-modulated distribution associated with the red polarization-modulation pattern induces the dye adsorption-modulated pattern, in turn, yielding the permanent BPG which generates a modulated twisted nematic (TN) structure pattern in the sample. It is found that each BPG is verified to be electrically switchable and thermally erasable. The switching time is in the order of milliseconds. Additionally, the recording time to form a BPG decreases with increasing intensity of the green pump beam. 相似文献

We reconsider the role of network externalities in a dynamic spatial monopoly where the firm must invest in order to accumulate
capacity, while consumers may have either linear or quadratic preferences. We (1) characterise saddle point equilibria, (2)
prove that the extent of market coverage is increasing in the network effect and (3) unlike the existing static literature
on the same problem, the monopolist may not make introductory price offers. Then, we briefly deal with the socially optimal
solution, showing that, in general, a planner would serve more consumers than a profit-seeking monopolist.

Steady state temperature distribution in a model Czochralski crucible has been mapped by liquid crystal thermography (LCT).
The crucible is a water-filled glass beaker. Water is used as the test fluid because of ease of experimentation, as well as
the availability of correct thermo-physical properties. In addition, the Prandtl number of water matches those of molten oxides.
A copper cylinder whose diameter is smaller than that of the beaker is placed centrally at the water surface. Convection patterns
are set up by applying constant temperature difference between the crucible wall and the cylinder surface, in the temperature
range of the liquid crystals. The cylinder is given a fixed rotation, thus creating mixed convection conditions in the test
fluid. The LCT images recorded in the present study clearly reveal convective rolls, and the interaction of buoyancy-driven
convection in the crucible with cylinder rotation. The resulting temperature distributions match numerical simulation quite
well. The pure buoyancy and pure rotation experiments result in axisymmetric temperature fields, while in mixed convection,
the field is unsteady and three dimensional. 相似文献

γ-ZrP\SiO2 composite had a complicated composition,
since a part of γ-ZrP is converted to α-form during the exfoliation
of it. The γ-ZrP\SiO2 composite have specific surface
area of 421 m2g–1.
The acidic P–OH groups of the lamellae species placed on the surface
(it is ≈1.0 meq g–1), do not destroy until
the temperature of 1030 K. During the thermal treatment the total mass loss
of 7.79% was found. This value corresponds to 0.42 mole of H2O
per molecule unit. The water loss process was found very slow, because of

Influences of oxygen-partial pressure and annealing on the electrical and magnetic properties of CoFeAlO thin films were systematically investigated by means of resistivity, permeability, magnetization and ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) measurements. It was found that, with increasing oxygen-partial pressure or under annealing, the electrical resistivity of the film increased and the magnetic softness decreased, which is attributed to the microstructural change of the film. Interestingly, an as-deposited Co45.30Fe20.65Al19.34O14.71 film was found to exhibit an inverted hysteresis loop with negative coercivity, and this peculiar phenomenon disappeared upon effects of oxygen-partial pressure and annealing. It was also found that the as-deposited films owned a narrow FMR line width that increased with increasing oxygen-partial pressure or under annealing. 相似文献
