Using the Mannari-Ziman-Baym theory we calculate the anisotropy in phonon scattering resistivity of normal hexagonal metals. We use a Born von Karman force constant fit to inelastic neutron and X-ray scattering experiments and both empirical and model form factors. U and N processes are explicitly separated. A new LC-MS/MS method has been developed for the multiresidue determination of 11 (fluoro)quinolone antibiotics (FQs), including acidic and amphoteric species, around their maximum residue level (MRL) in pig kidney. The procedure involves a common sample preparation by solid-phase extraction on disposable extraction cartridges followed by a fast reversed-phase liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry analysis. The method was validated according to the Commission Decision 2002/657/CE. The accuracy of the method was satisfactory with recoveries included in the interval 80-100%. The precision results showed mean repeatability and reproducibility coefficients of 7.4% and 11.8%, respectively. Limits of quantification much lower than the MRLs could be obtained. 相似文献

A recently in-house validated method for the liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) determination of eleven (fluoro)quinolone antibiotics (FQs) in pig kidney has been fully validated through an intercomparison exercise. This ring trial involved eight European laboratories and was based on the Commission Decision 2002/657/CE for validation of method and on the IUPAC protocol for method-performances studies. The laboratories data were submitted to a one-way analysis of variance. Satisfactory results were obtained for each FQ with regards to within- and between-laboratory reproducibility and accuracy. Background
Olfactory systems create representations of the chemical world in the animal brain. Recordings of odour-evoked activity in the primary olfactory centres of vertebrates and insects have suggested similar rules for odour processing, in particular through spatial organization of chemical information in their functional units, the glomeruli. Similarity between odour representations can be extracted from across-glomerulus patterns in a wide range of species, from insects to vertebrates, but comparison of odour similarity in such diverse taxa has not been addressed. Here we demonstrate design, fabrication, and testing of electronic sensor array based on single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs). Multiple sensor elements consisting of isolated networks of SWNTs were integrated into Si chips by chemical vapor deposition (CVD) and photolithography processes. For chemical selectivity, SWNTs were decorated with metal nanoparticles. The differences in catalytic activity of 18 catalytic metals for detection of H(2), CH(4), CO, and H(2)S gases were observed. Furthermore, a sensor array was fabricated by site-selective electroplating of Pd, Pt, Rh, and Au metals on isolated SWNT networks located on a single chip. The resulting electronic sensor array, which was comprised of several functional SWNT network sensors, was exposed to a randomized series of toxic/combustible gases. Electronic responses of all sensor elements were recorded and the sensor array data was analyzed using pattern-recognition analysis tools. Applications of these small-size, low-power, electronic sensor arrays are in the detection and identification of toxic/combustible gases for personal safety and air pollution monitoring. 相似文献
