A well-established pseodopotential is used to study the structure
of some 4f rare earth liquid metals (Ce, Pr, Eu, Gd, Tb, and Yb).
The structure factor S(q), pair distribution function g(r),
interatomic distance r1, and coordination number n1 are calculated using Charged Hard Sphere (CHS) reference system. To introduce
the exchange and correlation effects, the local field correction
due to Sarkar et al. (S) is applied. The present investigation
is successful in generating the structural information of Ce,

Strain-compensated GaInNAs/GaAsP quantum well structures and lasers were grown by gas source molecular beam epitaxy using a RF-plasma nitrogen radical beam source. The optimal growth condition for the quantum well structure was determined based on room-temperature photoluminescence measurements. Effects of rapid thermal annealing (RTA) on the optical properties of GaInNAs/GaAsP quantum well structures as well as laser diodes are examined. It was found to significantly increase the photoluminescence from the quantum wells and reduce the threshold current density of the lasers, due to a removal of N induced nonradiative centers from GaInNAs wells. 相似文献

We present and test an expansion method for calculating the distribution function of mobile electrons in semiconductors in a drifting homogeneous electric field. We investigate the energy transport in a one-dimensional lattice of oscillators with a harmonic nearest neighbor coupling and a harmonic plus quartic on-site potential. As numerically observed for particular coupling parameters before, and confirmed by our study, such chains satisfy Fourier’s law: a chain of length N coupled to thermal reservoirs at both ends has an average steady state energy current proportional to 1/N. On the theoretical level we employ the Peierls transport equation for phonons and note that beyond a mere exchange of labels it admits nondegenerate phonon collisions. These collisions are responsible for a finite heat conductivity. The predictions of kinetic theory are compared with molecular dynamics simulations. A general theoretical framework for the construction of maximally complex, yet analytically tractable mean-field theories for quantum-mechanical models is presented. These mean-field theories fulfil several strict conditions which are derived from analogous theories in classical statistical mechanics. In particular, they are thermodynamically consistent, conserving approximations and provide exact bounds on the free energy of the original model. The fluoroquinolone family member ciprofloxacin is well known for its drug design and coordinating ability towards metal ions. The coordination chemistry of this drug with metal ions of biological and pharmaceutical importance is of considerable interest. Novel Mn(III) mixed‐ligand complexes of ciprofloxacin with various bis‐pyrazolone‐based dinegative bidentate ligands were synthesized and characterized on the basis of their physical properties, magnetic susceptibility measurements, (FT‐IR and electronic) spectral studies. The FAB‐mass spectrum of [Mn(A9)(L)(H2O)2]·H2O [where H2A9 = 4,4′‐(p‐tolylmethylene)bis(3‐methyl‐1‐phenyl‐4,5‐dihydro‐1H‐pyrazol‐5‐ol) and HL = 1‐cyclopropyl‐6‐fluoro‐4‐oxo‐7‐(piperazin‐1‐yl)‐1,4‐dihydroquinoline‐3‐carboxylic acid] was determined. All the synthesized compounds were screened for their bioactivity. The mixed‐ligand complexes exhibited comparable activities against two Gram‐negative (Escherichia coli and Serratia marcescens) and two Gram‐positive (Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus subtilis) microorganisms.
