Octahedral titanium(IV) complexes of phenolato hexadentate ligands were developed and showed very high stability for days in water solutions. In vitro cytotoxicity studies showed that, whereas tetrakis(phenolato) systems are generally of low activity presumably due to inaccessibility, smaller bis(phenolato)bis(alkoxo) complexes feature high anticancer activity and accessibility even without formulations, also toward a cisplatin‐resistant cell line. An all‐aliphatic control complex was unstable and inactive. A leading phenolato complex also revealed: 1) high durability in fully aqueous solutions; accordingly, negligible loss of activity after preincubation for three days in medium or in serum; 2) maximal cellular accumulation and induction of apoptosis following 24–48 h of administration; 3) reduced impact on noncancerous fibroblast cells; 4) in vivo efficacy toward lymphoma cells in murine model; 5) high activity in NCI‐60 panel, with average GI50 of 4.6±2 μm . This newly developed family of TiIV complexes is thus of great potential for anticancer therapy.  相似文献

Over the last decade nanofluids (colloidal suspensions of solid nanoparticles) sparked excitement as well as controversy. In particular, a number of researches reported dramatic increases of thermal conductivity with small nanoparticle loading, while others showed moderate increases consistent with the effective medium theories on well-dispersed conductive spheres. Accordingly, the mechanism of thermal conductivity enhancement is a hotly debated topic. We present a critical analysis of the experimental data in terms of the potential mechanisms and show that, by accounting for linear particle aggregation, the well established effective medium theories for composite materials are capable of explaining the vast majority of the reported data without resorting to novel mechanisms such as Brownian motion induced nanoconvection, liquid layering at the interface, or near-field radiation. However, particle aggregation required to significantly enhance thermal conductivity, also increases fluid viscosity rendering the benefit of nanofluids to flow based cooling applications questionable.  相似文献

A design method is presented for an optical element that shapes an arbitrary collimated beam. The optical element consists of a pair of diffractive optical elements (DOEs). The outgoing beam is also collimated, and can have any desired intensity profile. The phase functions of the DOEs are computed by minimizing an appropriate cost function under an energy conservation constraint.  相似文献

Consider a closed Jackson type network in which each queue has a single exponential server. Assume that N customers are moving among k queues. We establish simple closed form bounds on the network throughput (both lower and upper), which are sharper than those that are currently available. We have used nuclear reaction analysis to measure diffusion coefficients D in couples consisting of hydrogenated polybutadienes of structure (C2H3(C2H5))x(C4H8)1?x and their partly deuterated counterparts. The 1,2- and 1,4-olefinic isomers are randomly distributed along the chains and the mean vinyl fraction x varies between 0.38 and 0.94. We find that the effective monomeric mobility D0 [defined by D = D0(Ne/N2) for each copolymer, where N is the backbone length and Ne the entanglement spacing] decreases monotonically with increasing vinyl content x. Over the range of microstructures and temperatures T (?14?40°C) investigated we find log(D0/T) varies smoothly with (T ? Tg), where Tg is the glass transition temperature of the respective melts. An analysis of our data in terms of a simple activated rate process model suggests that D0 is controlled by thermally activated hopping of segments whose effective volume is close to that of the respective statistical segment lengths of the copolymeric chains. ©1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

General and quasi-concave non-differentiable cases of the maximization of the minimun between two functions are considered. With the aid of duality theory for mathematical programming involving conjugate-like operators and by defining a bifunction we construct a new Lagrangian and generate a class of perturbations. New saddle-point theorems are presented, and equivalence is proved between the existence of a saddle-point and the existence of a certain cone-supporting property of the perturbation function.
