We have proposed and demonstrated experimentally that an Er-doped twin-core fibre (ErTCF) can be employed as a tracking narrow-band filter in fibre ring lasers for line narrowing and enhancement of the spectral stability. The device mimics a saturable absorber with inhomogeneous broadening. The slow erbium ion saturation dynamics in the ErTCF prevents wavelength hopping whilst it enables the filter to track the operation wavelength on its tuning. We have improved the device operation by utilizing the inherent filtering effect of a twin-core fibre coupler. Two different approaches — Källen’s and Brandt’s methods — for calculation of the Schwinger terms in the 1+1 dimensional Abelian and non-Abelian free current algebras are discussed. These methods are applied to calculation of the single and double commutators. The validity of the Jacobi identities is examined in 1+1 and 3+1 dimensions and in this way is given natural restriction on the regularization. It is shown that the Jacobi identity cannot be broken in 1+1 dimensions even using the regularization which fails in the 3+1 dimensional case. A connection between the Schwinger term and anomaly is shown in the simplest case of the Schwinger model.  相似文献

The optical trapping of nanoparticles and microparticles by a Gaussian standing wave is experimentally demonstrated for the first time to the authors' knowledge. The standing wave is obtained under a microscope objective as a result of the interference of an incoming laser beam and a beam reflected on a microscope slide that has been coated with a system of reflective dielectric layers. Experimental results show that three-dimensional trapping of nanoparticles (100-nm polystyrene spheres) and one or more vertically aligned micro-objects (5-mum polystyrene spheres, yeast cells) can easily be achieved by use of even highly aberrated beams or objectives with low numerical apertures.  相似文献

Carbyne is an infinitely long linear chain of carbon atoms with sp1 hybridization and the truly one-dimensional allotrope of carbon. While obtaining freestanding carbyne is still an open challenge, the study of confined carbyne, linear chains of carbon encapsulated in carbon nanotubes, provides a pathway to explore carbyne and its remarkable properties in a well-defined environment. In this review, we discuss the basics and recent advances in studying single confined carbyne chains by Raman spectroscopy, which is their primary spectroscopic characterization method. We highlight where single carbyne chain studies are needed to advance our understanding of confined carbyne as a material system and provide an overview of the open questions that need to be addressed and of those aspects currently under debate.  相似文献

We investigate the shape as well as the size- and temperature-dependence of the conductance noise spectrum of a small system containing electrons and both fixed and mobile scatterers. If the number of mobile scatterers within a phase-coherent region is sufficiently large, the temporal variation of the conductance can be viewed as a random walk process limited by the universal conductance fluctuations, resulting in a practically Lorentzian power spectrum. We discuss the conditions under which the noise spectrum of a system consisting of many phase-coherent regions is either Lorentzian or 1/f-like. The temperature-dependence of the power spectrum is determined by the hopping mechanism and the variation of the phase breaking length. As a function of temperature the spectrum satisfies power law scaling relations with exponents depending on the dimension and the temperature range; the spectral intensity can both increase and decrease with decreasing temperature.  相似文献

Novel mixed valence states have been obtained by the treatment of cobaltous ferrocyanides (Co+2FeII) and ferricyanides (Co+2FeIII) in an ozone flow. The CN stretching bands occur at 2085 cm–1 for Co+2FeII and at 2160 cm–1 for Co+2FeIII. After the ozonization process of Co+2FeII, an intense band approximately at 2125 cm–1 is detected. This intermediate band must correspond to a mixed valence state of the type: FeII–CN–Co2+–NC–FeIII Mössbauer spectra recorded in situ during the ozonization of Co+2FeII show the presence of two components: a doublet with isomer shift and quadrupole splitting values close to the cobalti ferricyanide and a very broad line for the mixed valence state. From the Mössbauer and infrared spectra of the aged samples of the Co+2FeII after ozonization, a relaxation process to the initial state of the samples is observed but the mixed valence state is stable.  相似文献

Tl–Ca–Ba–Cu–O compounds of the nominal composition of (1, 1, 1, 1) have been prepared from different starting materials and with the same heat treatment process. During the investigation of their properties a diamagnetic signal has been found up to the temperature of 132 K. This hints at the existence of a certain material content distributed into discrete superconducting domains. The parameters of it reflect a superstructure of the (2, 2, 2, 3) and (2, 1, 2, 2) compositions having a time-dependent behaviour. On the basis of the signal levels at 132 K and 4.2 K, the quantity of the high temperature superconducting material is about 0.01% of the total one at liquid He temperatures.  相似文献

For any unit vector in an inner product space S, we define a mapping on the system of all -closed subspaces of S, F(S), whose restriction on the system of all splitting subspaces of S, E(S), is always a finitely additive state. We show that S is complete iff at least one such mapping is a finitely additive state on F(S). Moreover, we give a completeness criterion via the existence of a regular finitely additive state on appropriate systems of subspaces.
