Integral expressions for positive-part moments E X+pmathsf{E},X_{+}^{p} (p>0) of random variables X are presented, in terms of the Fourier–Laplace or Fourier transforms of the distribution of X. A necessary and sufficient condition for the validity of such an expression is given. Excitation spectra of erbium photoluminescence in Si: Er epitaxial structures are studied within a broad pump wavelength range (λex = 780–1500 nm). All the structures studied reveal a fairly strong erbium photoluminescence signal at photon energies substantially smaller than the silicon band-gap width (λ = 1060 nm) with no exciton generation. A possible mechanism of erbium ion excitation in silicon without exciton involvement is discussed. 相似文献

A four-level model of photoluminescence from Si nanocrystal arrays embedded in a SiO2 matrix is suggested. The model allows for thermally activated transitions between singlet and triplet levels in the exchange-split energy state of an exciton in an excited silicon nanocrystal. An expression is derived for the temperature dependence of the intensity of photoluminescence monochromatic components. A correlation is found between the amount of splitting and the emitted photon energy by comparing model data with our experimental data for ion-synthesized Si nanocrystals in a SiO2 matrix. The model explains the finiteness of the photoluminescence intensity at temperatures close to 0 K and the nonmonotonicity of the temperature run of the intensity. 相似文献

The conjunctival bacterial resident and opportunistic flora of dogs may represent a major source of dissemination of pathogens throughout the environment or to other animals and humans. Nevertheless, contamination with bacteria from external sources is common. In this context, the study of the antimicrobial resistance (AMR) pattern may represent an indicator of multidrug resistant (MDR) strains exchange. The present study was focused on a single predisposed breed—Saint Bernard. The evaluated animals were healthy, but about half had a history of ocular disease/treatment. The swabs collected from conjunctival sacs were evaluated by conventional microbiological cultivation and antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST). The most prevalent Gram-positive was Staphylococcus spp.; regardless of the history, while Gram-negative was Pseudomonas spp.; exclusively from dogs with a history of ocular disease/treatment. Other identified genera were represented by Bacillus, Streptococcus, Trueperella, Aeromonas and Neisseria. The obtained results suggest a possible association between the presence of mixed flora and a history of ocular disease/treatment. A high AMR was generally observed (90%) in all isolates, especially for kanamycin, doxycycline, chloramphenicol and penicillin. MDR was recorded in Staphylococcus spp. and Pseudomonas spp. This result together with a well-known zoonotic potential may suggest an exchange of these strains within animal human populations and the environment. 相似文献

We obtain asymptotic lower bounds for the spectral function of the Laplacian and for the remainder in local Weyl’s law on
manifolds. In the negatively curved case, thermodynamic formalism is applied to improve the estimates. Key ingredients of
the proof include the wave equation parametrix, a pretrace formula and the Dirichlet box principle. Our results develop and
extend the unpublished thesis of A. Karnaukh [Ka].

The photoluminescence spectra of structures with self-assembled GeSi/Si(001) islands are investigated as functions of the growth temperature. It is shown that the shift of the peak of photoluminescence from islands toward lower energies on decreasing the growth temperature is due to the suppression of Si diffusion into islands and an increase in the fraction of Ge in islands. A photoluminescence signal from the GeSi islands is found in the region of energies down to 0.6 eV, which is considerably smaller than the band-gap width in bulk Ge. The position of the peak of photoluminescence from islands is described well by the model of a real-space indirect optical transition with account of the real composition and elastic strains of the islands. Mono-and multilayer structures are obtained with self-assembled GeSi/Si(001) nanoislands exhibiting a photoluminescence signal in the region 1.3–2 μm at room temperature. 相似文献

When entering the phase of big data processing and statistical inferences in experimental physics, the efficient use of machine learning methods may require optimal data preprocessing methods and, in particular, optimal balance between details and noise. In experimental studies of strong-field quantum electrodynamics with intense lasers, this balance concerns data binning for the observed distributions of particles and photons. Here we analyze the aspect of binning with respect to different machine learning methods (Support Vector Machine (SVM), Gradient Boosting Trees (GBT), Fully-Connected Neural Network (FCNN), Convolutional Neural Network (CNN)) using numerical simulations that mimic expected properties of upcoming experiments. We see that binning can crucially affect the performance of SVM and GBT, and, to a less extent, FCNN and CNN. This can be interpreted as the latter methods being able to effectively learn the optimal binning, discarding unnecessary information. Nevertheless, given limited training sets, the results indicate that the efficiency can be increased by optimizing the binning scale along with other hyperparameters. We present specific measurements of accuracy that can be useful for planning of experiments in the specified research area. 相似文献

The impurity photoconductivity spectra of Ge/Ge1−x
Six strained heterostructures with quantum wells are investigated. It is established that the built-in deformation in quantum-size
Ge layers substantially changes the spectrum of shallow acceptors, shifting it into the long-wavelength region of the far-IR
range. In strong magnetic fields the photoconductivity lines are observed to split and shift as a function of the field. This
makes it possible to carry out a classification of the transitions.
