Abstract

The recovery of antioxidants from basil (Ocimum basilicum L.) was modeled with the aid of response surface methodology (RSM) using microwave-assisted extraction (MAE). Face-centered central design (FCCD) was employed to optimize the MAE operational parameters including the extraction time (1 to 7?min), extraction temperature (30 to 120?°C), solid-to-solvent ratio (0.1 to 0.4), and solvent concentration (20 to 80% ethanol, v/v), and to obtain the best possible combinations of these parameters for a high antioxidant yield from basil. The total antioxidant capacity (TAC) was expressed in trolox (TR) equivalents per gram of dried sample (DS). Three of the operational parameters (temperature, extraction time and solvent concentration) were shown to have significant effect on the extraction efficiency of antioxidants in basil extracts (p?<?0.05). The solvent concentration was shown to be the most significant factor on antioxidant yield obtained by MAE. There was a close relationship between experimental and predicted values using the proposed method. This optimized MAE method shows an application potential for the efficient extraction of antioxidants from basil in the food and pharmaceutical industries.  相似文献

FT-IR and FT-Raman spectra of 5-methoxysalicylic acid (5MeOSA) have been experimentally reported in the region of 4000–10 cm−1 and 4000–50 cm−1, respectively. The optimized geometric parameters, conformational equilibria, normal mode frequencies and corresponding vibrational assignments of 5MeOSA (C8H8O4) are theoretically examined by means of B3LYP hybrid density functional theory (DFT) method together with 6-31++G(d,p) basis set. Furthermore, reliable vibrational assignments have made on the basis of potential energy distribution (PED) calculated and the thermodynamics functions, highest occupied and lowest unoccupied molecular orbitals (HOMO and LUMO) of 5MeOSA have been predicted. Calculations are employed for different conformations of 5MeOSA, both in gas phase and in solution. Solvent effects are investigated using chloroform and dimethylsulfoxide. All results indicate that B3LYP method is able to provide satisfactory results for predicting vibrational frequencies and the structural parameters, vibrational frequencies and assignments, IR and Raman intensities of 5MeOSA are solvent dependent.  相似文献

Abstract

2,4-Bis(4-methoxyphenyl)-1,3,2,4-dithiadiphosphetane-2,4-disulfide (Lawesson’s reagent: LR) was reacted with 1,2:5,6-di-O-cyclohexylidene-α-D-glucofuranose and 1,2:5,6-di-O-isopropylidene-α-D-glucofuranose in toluene and gave rise to crude dithiophosphonic acids. The crude dithiophosphonic acids were treated with excess triethylamine and the triethylammonium salts of dithiophosphonic acids (1) and (2) were isolated by crystallization method. Compounds 1 and 2 were characterized by elemental analysis, IR, and NMR (1H-, 13C- and 31P-) spectroscopies and mass spectrometry. In addition, NMR spectra, the electronic properties (the electronic chemical potential, electronegativity, chemical hardness and the global electrophilicity index) and NBO analysis of compound 2 have been calculated by using the Gaussian 16?W program. The electronic properties were calculated using Highest Occupied Molecular Orbital (HOMO) and Lowest Unoccupied Molecular Orbital (LUMO) energies by density functional method (DFT/B3LYP) at 6-31G(d,p) level. The HOMO and LUMO energies are ?5.9 and ?0.72?eV, respectively. The HOMO–LUMO energy difference is 5.18?eV and this value shows that compound 2 has a high stability and low reactivity.  相似文献

A new liquid chromatographic (LC)-chemometric approach was developed for the determination of sunset yellow (SUN) and tartrazine (TAR) in commercial preparations. This approach uses LC and chemometric calibration methods, i.e., classical least-squares (CLS), principal component regression (PCR), and partial-least squares (PLS), simultaneously. The combined LC-chemometric approaches, denoted as LC-CLS, LC-PCR, and LC-PLS, are based on photodiode array (PDA) detection at multiple wavelengths. Optimum chromatographic separation of SUN and TAR with allura red as the internal standard (IS) was obtained by using a Waters Symmetry C18 column, 5 microm, 4.6 x 250 mm, and 0.2 M acetate buffer (pH 5)-acetonitrile-methano-bidistilled water (55 + 20 + 15 + 10, v/v) as the mobile phase at a flow rate of 1.9 mL/min. The LC data sets consisting of the ratios of analyte peak areas to the IS peak area were obtained by using PDA detection at 5 wavelengths (465, 470, 475, 480, and 485 nm). LC-chemometric calibrations for SUN and TAR were separately constructed by using the relationship between the peak-area ratio and the training sets for each colorant. LC-chemometric approaches were tested for different synthetic mixtures containing SUN and TAR in the presence of the IS. These LC-chemometric calibrations were applied to a commercial preparation of the 2 colorants. The experimental results of the LC-chemometric approaches were compared with those obtained by a developed classical LC method using single-wavelength detection.  相似文献

Manganese in vitamin-minerals tablets was determined by solid sampling electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry (SS-ETAAS) using three different calibration methods, namely calibration against aqueous standards, standard addition with aqueous standards on solid samples and calibration against solid certified standards. Samples were only finely ground and introduced directly into the furnace by means of solid autosampler system without any dissolving process. Effects of different calibration techniques, temperatures and heating rates of atomization and pyrolysis steps on the accuracy and precision of the analyte elements were investigated. After optimization of the experimental parameters, there is good agreement (at 95% confidence level) between the results obtained by solid sampling and those obtained by acid digestion of samples.  相似文献

The new C2‐symmetric bis‐oxazoline (=bis[4,5‐dihydrooxazole]) 2 with a chiral trans‐(2R,3R)‐2,3‐bis(3,5‐diphenylphenyl)cyclopropylidene (=trans‐(2R,3R)‐2,3‐bis([1,1′: 3′,1″‐terphenyl]‐5′‐yl)cyclopropylidene) backbone was efficiently synthesized (Scheme). All synthetic steps were easy to perform and led to the desired product in good overall yields. Compound 2 was tested and compared as ligand in several enantioselective catalytic reactions such as palladium(0)‐catalyzed enantioselective allylic alkylations and copper(I)‐catalyzed enantioselective cyclopropanations and aziridinations.  相似文献

A new subclass of the Jacobi polynomials arising in the exact analytical solution of the one-dimensional Schrödinger equation with a trigonometric potential has been introduced. The polynomials which consist of a free parameter are not ultraspherical polynomials and have been simply named the -polynomials since they are generated by a trigonometric Hamiltonian. In certain sense, it is shown that the -polynomials can be regarded as a generalisation of the airfoil polynomials or the Chebyshev polynomials of the third kind. This paper is intended to discuss the basic properties of the polynomials so defined.  相似文献

In this study, the nine coordination polymers of Fe(III), Co(II) and Ni(II) salts have been synthesized using polyacrylamide (PAA), polt(ethylene glycol) (PEG) and poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) and their structures were characterized by magnetic and conductivity measurements, ultraviolet‐visible (UV‐VIS), FTIR spectroscopy and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The structures of Fe(III) complexes in the all coordination polymers were found as tetrahedral. The structures of PAA‐Co(II) coordination polymer was determined as octahedral geometry whereas PEG‐Co(II) and PVA‐Co(II) complexes showed as tetrahedral structure. PAA‐Ni(II) and PEG‐Ni(II) complexes have octahedral geometry, whereas PVA‐Ni(II) has a square planar structure. Besides, the stress‐strain experiments of PVA‐metal coordination polymers obtained rubber‐like structure were carried out and the value of breaking‐strain of PVA‐Ni(II) complex was found to be about 17% of vulcanized natural rubber. The conductivities of the resulting polymer‐metal complexes were measured by four‐probe technique and were found in the range 10?5?10?6 Scm?1. Thus, it was suggested that they can be used in the field potential application of conducting polymers. TGA results revealed that among the complexes PEG‐Fe(III) and PVA‐Fe(III) complexes have the highest thermally stable.  相似文献
