Gold nanoparticle arrays are fabricated for surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) and the effect of the annealing temperature, the thickness of nanoparticle array and the exciting power on the SERS signals are investigated. The particle distribution and particle size are dense and uniform on the glass substrate when the 10 nm gold film was annealed at 250 °C and strong SERS signals for Rhodamine 6G were achieved via a 532 nm excitation with a 10 mW power. The SERS signal at 1650 cm−1 is enhanced more than 10 times as compared to that of the gold film without annealing. The strong SERS behavior of gold nanoparticle arrays may broaden the SERS applications in biomedical and analytical chemistry.  相似文献

In situ self-ion irradiations (150?keV?W+) have been carried out on W and W–5Re at 500?°C, with doses ranging from 1016 to 1018 W+m?2 (~1.0?dpa). Early damage formation (1016W+m?2) was observed in both materials. Black–white contrast experiments and image simulations using the TEMACI software suggested that vacancy loops were formed within individual cascades, and thus, the loop nucleation mechanism is likely to be ‘cascade collapse’. Dynamic observations showed the nucleation and growth of interstitial loops at higher doses, and that elastic loop interactions may involve changes in loop Burgers vector. Elastic interactions may also promote loop reactions such as absorption or coalescence or loop string formation. Loops in both W and W–5Re remained stable after annealing at 500?°C. One-dimensional hopping of loops (b?=?1/2 ?111>) was only seen in W. At the final dose (1018W+m?2), a slightly denser damage microstructure was seen in W–5Re. Both materials had about 3–4?×?1015 loops m?2. Detailed post-irradiation analyses were carried out for loops of size???4?nm. Both b?=?1/2 ?111? (~75%) and b?= ?100> (~25%) loops were present. Inside–outside contrast experiments were performed under safe orientations to determine the nature of loops. The interstitial-to-vacancy loop ratio turned out close to unity for 1/2 ?111? loops in W, and for both 1/2 ?111? and ?100? loops in W–5Re. However, interstitial loops were dominant for ?100? loops in W. Re seemed to restrict loop mobility, leading to a smaller average loop size and a higher number density in the W-Re alloy.  相似文献

The problem of the transient time in nucleation is studied. The size-dependent transient time at a constant temperature is defined and the approximate analytical solution is found and compared with the exact numerical solution for the model Li2O.2 SiO2 melt. It is shown that the analytical solution for the size-dependent transient time is in agreement with the numerical result.  相似文献

This paper presents the derivation of the precise relation between the displacement of a light spot on an object's surface and the displacement of its image on the detector in an optical triangulation device, along with applications of the design of triangulation devices. In this paper, we prove convergence rates for spherical spline Hermite interpolation on the sphere Sd−1 via an error estimate given in a technical report by Luo and Levesley. The functionals in the Hermite interpolation are either point evaluations of pseudodifferential operators or rotational differential operators, the desirable feature of these operators being that they map polynomials to polynomials. Convergence rates for certain derivatives are given in terms of maximum point separation.  相似文献

A project to improve inventory management in a small UK chemical company is described. A research group comprising university academics and company managers for logistics and information technology examined current practices and analysed a database of historical records of business operations of the company. Based on the analysis, a scheme to categorise stock and set ordering policies to optimise inventory costs was developed. Typically, X‐ray absorption near‐edge structure measurements aim to probe the linear attenuation coefficient. These measurements are often carried out using partial fluorescence yield techniques that rely on detectors having photon energy discrimination improving the sensitivity and the signal‐to‐background ratio of the measured spectra. However, measuring the partial fluorescence yield in the soft X‐ray regime with reasonable efficiency requires solid‐state detectors, which have limitations due to the inherent dead‐time while measuring. Alternatively, many of the available detectors that are not energy dispersive do not suffer from photon count rate limitations. A filter placed in front of one of these detectors will make the energy‐dependent efficiency non‐linear, thereby changing the responsivity of the detector. It is shown that using an array of filtered X‐ray detectors is a viable method for measuring soft X‐ray partial fluorescence yield spectra without dead‐time. The feasibility of this technique is further demonstrated using α‐Fe2O3 as an example and it is shown that this detector technology could vastly improve the photon collection efficiency at synchrotrons and that these detectors will allow experiments to be completed with a much lower photon flux reducing X‐ray‐induced damage.  相似文献

Poly(lactic acid) (PLA)/halloysite composites were prepared using melt compounding followed by compression molding. Maleic anhydride grafted styrene-ethylene/butylene-styrene (SEBS-g-MAH) was used to toughen the PLA composites. The mechanical properties of the PLA composites were studied through tensile, flexural, and impact tests. The thermal properties were characterized by using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The fracture surfaces of the composites were assessed by using field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM). The impact strength and thermal properties of the PLA/halloysite composites were increased by addition of SEBS-g-MAH.  相似文献
