We have increased organic field-effect transistor (OFET) NH(3) response using tris(pentafluorophenyl)borane (TPFB) as a receptor. OFETs with this additive could detect concentrations of 450 ppb v/v, with a limit of detection of 350 ppb, the highest sensitivity reported to date for semiconductor films; in comparison, when triphenylmethane (TPM) or triphenylborane (TFB) was used as an additive, no obvious improvement in the sensitivity was observed. These OFETs also showed considerable selectivity with respect to common organic vapors and stability toward storage. Furthermore, excellent memory of exposure was achieved by keeping the exposed devices in a sealed container stored at -30 °C, the first such capability demonstrated with OFETs.  相似文献

We present a novel technique for studying the quenching of shell gaps in exotic isotopes. The method is based on extracting Gamow-Teller (ΔL=0, ΔS=1) transition strengths [B(GT)] to low-lying states from charge-exchange reactions at intermediate beam energies. These Gamow-Teller strengths are very sensitive to configuration mixing between cross-shell orbitals, and this technique thus provides an important complement to other tools currently used to study cross-shell mixing. This work focuses on the N=8 shell gap. We populated the ground and 2.24 MeV 0+ states in 12Be using the 12B(1+) (7Li, 7Be) reaction at 80 MeV/u in inverse kinematics. Using the ground-state B(GT) value from β-decay measurements (0.184±0.007) as a calibration, the B(GT) for the transition to the second 0+ state was determined to be 0.214±0.051. Comparing the extracted Gamow-Teller strengths with shell-model calculations, it was determined that the wave functions of the first and second 0+ states in 12Be are composed of 25±5% and 60±5% (0s)4(0p)8 configurations, respectively.  相似文献

In this Letter, we report measurements of the coupling between Dirac fermion quasiparticles (DFQs) and phonons on the (001) surface of the strong topological insulator Bi2Se3. While most contemporary investigations of this coupling have involved examining the temperature dependence of the DFQ self-energy via angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy measurements, we employ inelastic helium-atom scattering to explore, for the first time, this coupling from the phonon perspective. Using a Hilbert transform, we are able to obtain the imaginary part of the phonon self-energy associated with a dispersive surface-phonon branch identified in our previous work [Phys. Rev. Lett. 107, 186102 (2011)] as having strong interactions with the DFQs. From this imaginary part of the self-energy we obtain a branch-specific electron-phonon coupling constant of 0.43, which is stronger than the values reported from the angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy measurements.  相似文献

We provide a new formulation of the Local Friendliness no-go theorem of Bong et al. [Nat. Phys. 16, 1199 (2020)] from fundamental causal principles, providing another perspective on how it puts strictly stronger bounds on quantum reality than Bell’s theorem. In particular, quantum causal models have been proposed as a way to maintain a peaceful coexistence between quantum mechanics and relativistic causality while respecting Leibniz’s methodological principle. This works for Bell’s theorem but does not work for the Local Friendliness no-go theorem, which considers an extended Wigner’s Friend scenario. More radical conceptual renewal is required; we suggest that cleaving to Leibniz’s principle requires extending relativity to events themselves.  相似文献

Magnetic resonance imaging was used to monitor and quantify methane hydrate formation and exchange in porous media. Conversion of methane hydrate to carbon dioxide hydrate, when exposed to liquid carbon dioxide at 8.27 MPa and ∼4°C, was experimentally demonstrated with MRI data and verified by mass balance calculations of consumed volumes of gases and liquids. No detectable dissociation of the hydrate was measured during the exchange process.  相似文献

Elastomer bushings are important components in a vehicle suspension system to isolate vibration. The purpose of the work is to present experimental and computational studies of cylindrical bushings subjected to axial, torsional and coupled axial-torsional deformation modes. The experimental results show that the relationship between the forces and moments and their corresponding displacements and rotations are nonlinear due to the nature of the elastomer material. When an axial deformation is superimposed on a torsional deformation, a nonlinear coupled response exists; the torsional moment initially decreases and then increases with increasing axial deformation. This nonlinear coupling effect for small superimposed deformations is not well predicted computationally when modeling the bushing using common constitutive material laws in a commercial finite element package.  相似文献

Resonators for preclinical electron paramagnetic resonance imaging have been designed primarily for rodents and rabbits and have internal diameters between 16 and 51 mm. Lumped-circuit resonators include loop-gap, Alderman–Grant, and saddle coil topologies and surface coils. Bimodal resonators are useful for isolating the detected signal from incident power and reducing dead time in pulse experiments. Resonators for continuous wave, rapid scan, and pulse experiments are described. Experience at the University of Chicago and University of Denver in design of resonators for in vivo imaging is summarized.  相似文献

A magnetometer designed for permanent magnet manufacturing and operated around 25 mT with 10 ppm absolute accuracy is described. The magnetometer uses pulse electron paramagnetic resonance methodology. The use of a pulsed broadband acquisition allowed reliable measurements in the presence of the magnetic field gradient and in relatively inhomogeneous magnetic fields of un-shimmed magnets.  相似文献
