An analytical method was developed for antimony speciation and antimony(III) preconcentration in water samples. The method is based on the selective retention of Sb(III) by modified Saccharomyces cerevisiae in the presence of Sb(V). Heat, caustic and solvent pretreatments of the biomass were investigated to improve the kinetics and thermodynamics of Sb(III) uptake process at room temperature. Heating for 30 min at 80 degrees C was defined as the optimal treatment. Antimony accumulation by the cells was independent of pH (5-10) and ionic strength (0.01-0.1 mol L(-1)). 140 mg of yeast and 2h of contact were necessary to ensure quantitative sequestration of Sb(III) up to 750 microg L(-1). In these conditions, Sb(V) was not retained. Sb(V) was quantified in sorption supernatant by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) or inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES). Sb(III) was determined after elution with 40 mmol L(-1) thioglycolic acid at pH 10. A preconcentration factor close to nine was achieved for Sb(III) when 100mL of sample was processed. After preconcentration, the detection limits for Sb(III) and Sb(V) were 2 and 5 ng L(-1), respectively, using ICP-MS, 7 and 0.9 microg L(-1) using ICP-OES. The proposed method was successfully applied to the determination of Sb(III) and Sb(V) in spiked river and mineral water samples. The relative standard deviations (n=3) were in the 2-5% range at the tenth microg L(-1) level and less than 10% at the lowest Sb(III) and Sb(V) tested concentration (0.1 microg L(-1)). For the first time, a polygalacturonase from the culture broth of Tetracoccosporium sp. was isolated and incubated at 30°C in an orbital shaker at 160 rpm for 48h. The enzyme was purified by ammonium sulfate precipitation and two-step ion-exchange chromatography and had an apparent molecular mass of 36 kDa, as shown by sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS)-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. Its optimum activity was at pH 4.3 and 40°C, and the K m and V max values of this enzyme (for polygalacturonic acid) were 3.23 mg/mL and 0.15 μmol/min, respectively. Ag+, Co2+, EDTA, Tween-20, Tween-80, and Triton X-100 stimulated polygalacturonase activity whereas Al3+, Ba2+, Ca2+, Fe2+, Fe3+, Ni2+, Mg2+, Mn2+, and SDS inhibited it. In addition, iodoacetamide and iodoacetic acid did not inhibit enzyme activity at a concentration of 1 mM, indicating that cysteine residues are not part of the catalytic site of polygalacturonase. We studied the kinetic properties and thermal inactivation of polygalacturonase. This enzyme exhibited a t 1/2 of 63 min at 60°C and its specific activity, turnover number, and catalytic efficiency were 6.17 U/mg, 113.64 min−1, and 35.18 mL/(min·mg), respectively. The activation energy (ΔE #) for heat inactivation was 5.341 kJ/mol, and the thermodynamic activation parameters ΔG #, ΔH #, and ΔS # were also calculated, revealing a potential application for the industry.  相似文献

Contact angles of a series of n-alkanes (i.e., n-heptane to n-hexadecane) are studied on two functionalized maleimide copolymers (i.e., poly(ethene-alt-N-(4-(perfluoroheptylcarbonyl)aminobutyl)maleimide) (ETMF) and poly(octadecene-alt-N-(4-(perfluoroheptylcarbonyl)aminobutyl)maleimide) (ODMF)). On the homogeneous ETMF films, all liquids show a smooth motion of the three-phase line. In contrast, on ODMF surfaces that are found to consist of mainly fluorocarbons and small patches of hydrocarbons, short-chain n-alkanes show a stick-slip pattern. By increasing the chain length of the probe liquids, stick-slip is reduced significantly. The phenomenon is discussed in the framework of the Cassie equation. It is found that the upper limit of contact angles in the stick-slip pattern is given by the advancing angle that would be obtained on the pure fluorocarbon surface, whereas the lower limit of the stick-slip pattern is given by the Cassie angle.  相似文献

A new family of wholly aromatic poly(urea‐ether‐imide)s ( 4a–4f ) possessing binaphthylene‐twisted rings was prepared by diphenyl azidophosphate (DPAP)‐activated one‐pot polyaddition reaction of a preformed imide heterocyclic ring‐containing dicarboxylic acid, 2,2′‐bis(4‐trimellitimidophenoxy)‐ 1,1′‐binaphthyl ( 1 ) with various kinds of aromatic diamines ( 3a–3f ). At first, with due attention to structural similarity and to compare the characterization data, a model compound 2 was synthesized by the reaction of diimide‐dicarboxylic acid 1 with two mole equivalents of aniline. In this direct method, the polymers were prepared by polyaddition reactions of the in situ‐formed diisocyanate with the aromatic diamines. Molecular weights of the poly(urea‐ether‐imide)s obtained were evaluated viscometrically, and the inherent viscosities (ηinh) measured were in the range 0.10– 0.25 dl/g. All of the polymers were characterized by FT‐IR spectroscopic method and elemental analysis. All of the resulting polymers exhibited an excellent solubility in common polar solvents such as N‐methyl‐2‐pyrrolidone (NMP), dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), N,N‐dimethylformamide (DMF), and N,N‐dimethylacetamide (DMAc). Crystallinity of the resulted polymers was evaluated by wide‐angle X‐ray diffraction (WXRD) method, and they exhibited nearly a non‐crystalline nature as evidenced by their diffractograms. The glass transition temperatures (Tg) of the polymers determined by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) thermograms were in the range of 274–302°C. The temperatures at 10% weight loss (Td10%) from their thermogravimetric analysis (TGA/DTG) curves were found to be in the range of 389–414°C in nitrogen atmosphere. A new method is introduced for assessment of performing mechanical works of energetic compounds by cylinder wall velocities of CHNOFCl energetic compounds on the basis of the cylinder test. Four suitable decomposition paths are used to evaluate the number of moles of gaseous detonation products per gram of explosive, the average molecular weight of these gases, and the heat of detonation in calories per gram by considering different decomposition products HF, HCl, CO, N2, H2O, H2, and CO2. For CHNO and fluoro energetic compounds, the predicted cylinder wall velocities of these compounds give more reliable results than one of the best available empirical methods. The predicted root mean square (rms) deviations of cylinder wall velocities of the new model for some chloro explosives at actual radial expansions 0.6 and 1.9 mm are 0.010 and 0.062 km · s–1, which show high reliability of the new method.  相似文献

Zinc ferrite nanocomposite was synthesized via thermal decomposition of zinc acetate and iron nitrate at three different temperatures (350, 450, and 550 °C). The influence of the thermal decomposition of precursors on the formation zinc ferrites was studied by differential thermal gravimetry and thermogravimetry (TG). The TG curve shows two steps for the thermal decomposition with mass loss of 17.3 % at 78 °C and 63.3 % at 315 °C. The prepared zinc ferrites nanocomposite was characterized by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. The X-ray diffractograms of ZnFe2O4 shows that a crystalline phase, spinel system is formed. SEM micrograph of the zinc ferrite nanocomposite indicates the formation of uniformly spherical 48-nm nanograins. The properties of the zinc ferrite phase were strongly dependent on their calcinations temperature and molar ratio of precursors.  相似文献

A new E,E-stilbenophane was synthesised and characterised. The crystal structure of this cyclophane shows that this molecule has a cup-shaped structure, which hosts a phenyl ring of neighbouring molecule as guest in its cavity with a π–π distance of about 3.7 Å. Moreover, the NMR spectra and theoretical analysis (gauge-independent atomic orbitals (GIAO) and quantum theory of atoms in molecules (QTAIM)) suggest that the silver recognition by E,E-stilbenophane host molecules is based on cation–π interactions in which the π-electrons of the double bonds play a major role.  相似文献

Molecular structures, metallotropic and prototropic shifts of cyclopentadienyl(trimethyl)silane ( 1 ), cyclopentadienyl(trimethyl)germane ( 2 ), and cyclopentadienyl(trimethyl)stannane ( 3 ) were investigated using ab initio molecular orbital and the Becke, Lee, Yang, and Parr density functional (B3LYP) methods. The results show that the most stable structure of compounds 1-3 has the (CH 3 ) 3 M fragment in the allylic position. The energy barrier of metallotropic shifts in compound 1 is higher than in 2 , and in compound 2 higher than in 3 , in good agreement with experimental data. The cyclopentadienyl rings in compounds 1-3 are found to be planar but this result contradicts the reported experimental data.  相似文献

The effect of substitution on the strength and nature of CH···N hydrogen bond in XCCH···NH3 (X = F, Cl, Br, OH, H, Me) and NCH···NH3 complexes were investigated by quantum chemical calculations. Ab initio calculations were performed using MP2 method with a wide range of basis sets. With tacking into account the BSSE and ZPVE, the values of BEs decrease. Replacement of the nonparticipatory hydrogen atom of HCCH by the electronegative atoms (F, Cl, and Br), lead to the BEs increases. The BE corresponding to the replacement of the nonparticipatory hydrogen atom of HCCH by the OH and CH3 groups decreases. A far greater enhancement of the interaction energy arises from replacement of HCCH by the more acidic HCN. The natural bond orbital analysis and the Bader's quantum theory of atoms in molecules were also used to elucidate the interaction characteristics of these complexes. The electrostatic nature of H‐bond interactions is predicted from QTAIM analysis. In addition, the relationship between the isotropic and anisotropic chemical shifts of the bridging hydrogen and binding energy of complexes as well as electron density at N···H BCPs were investigated. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) were chemically functionalized by glutaric dihydrazide (GDH) and characterized with FT-IR technique. This new sorbent was used for enrichment and preconcentration of Co(II), Cd(II), Pb(II), and Pd(II) ions. The adsorption was achieved quantitatively on MWCNTs at pH 4.0, and then the retained metal ions on the adsorbent were eluted with 1.5 mol L?1 HNO3. The effects of analytical parameters including pH of the solution, eluent type, sample volume, and matrix ions were investigated for optimization of the presented procedure. The adsorption capacity of the adsorbent at optimum conditions was found to be 33.6, 29.2, 22.1, and 36.0 mg g?1 for Co(II), Cd(II), Pb(II), and Pd(II), respectively. The LOD values of the method were 0.16, 0.19, 0.17, and 0.12 ng mL?1 (3Sb, n = 10) for Co(II), Cd(II), Pb(II), and Pd(II), respectively. The RSDs values of the method were 0.75, 0.85, 1.16, and 1.30 ng mL?1 for Co(II), Cd(II), Pb(II), and Pd(II), respectively. The method was applied for the determination of analytes in soil, well water, and wastewater samples with satisfactory results.  相似文献
