Synthesis and herbicidal activities of methyl-1-(2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetoxy)alkylphosphonate monosalts

A series of 1-(2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetoxy)alkylphosphonic acid dimethyl esters 5 and its corresponding phosphonate monosalts 6 were synthesized as potential herbicide. The phosphonate monosalts can be prepared from 1-(2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetoxy)alkylphosphonic acid dimethyl esters 5, which were synthesized by the condensation of O,O-dimethyl-1-hydroxyalkylphosphonates with dichlorophenoxyacetic chloride. This method provides a simple and efficient procedure for the synthesis of phosphonate derivatives containing sensitive groups to acid, base or water such as carboxylate ester bond; and the herbicidal activity of title compounds was evaluated in a set of experiments in greenhouse. Most of the compounds exhibited notable herbicidal activity.     

Domino "[3+3]-cyclization-homo-Michael" reactions of 1,3-bissilyl enol ethers with 1,1-diacylcyclopropanes

The Lewis acid mediated domino "[3+3]-cyclization-homo-Michael" reaction of 1,3-bissilyl enol ethers with 1,1-diacylcyclopropanes allows an efficient one-pot synthesis of functionalized salicylates containing a halogenated side chain. A great variety of substitution patterns could be realized by variation of the starting materials and of the Lewis acid. The mechanism of the domino process was studied.     

Novel hydrogen-bonded three-dimensional network complexes containing cobalt-pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid

The novel complex, Co(H₂O)₅[Co(2,6-pydc)₂] (1) has been prepared in aqueous solution and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, elemental analyses and i.r. spectra. X-ray structural analysis revealed that three novel compounds each possess both – stacking and hydrogen-bonding interaction three-dimensional (3-D) networks.

Two salts of 5‐sulfosalicylic acid and 3‐aminopyridine

5‐Sulfosalicylic acid (5‐SSA) and 3‐aminopyridine (3‐APy) crystallize in the same solvent system, resulting in two kinds of 1:1 proton‐transfer organic adduct, namely 3‐aminopyridinium 3‐carboxy‐4‐hydroxybenzenesulfonate monohydrate, C₅H₇N₂⁺·C₇H₅O₆S⁻·H₂O or 3‐APy·5‐SSA·H₂O, (I), and the anhydrous adduct, C₅H₇N₂⁺·C₇H₅O₆S⁻ or 3‐APy·5‐SSA, (II). Both compounds have extensively hydrogen‐bonded three‐dimensional layered polymer structures, with interlayer homo‐ and heterogeneous π–π interactions in (I) and (II), respectively.     

二铬四醋酸基簇合物的定域分子轨道研究

利用ＩＮＤＯ自洽场半经验量子化学计算方法和Ｅｄｍｉｓｔｏｎ－Ｒｕｅｄｅｎｂｅｒｇ定域化方法，分别计算了没Ｃｒ－Ｃｒ键长的气相、固相Ｃｒ２（Ｏ２ＣＣＨ３）４分子和沿Ｃｒ－Ｃｒ方向有Ｈ２Ｏ配体的「Ｃｒ２（ＣＯ３）４（Ｈ２Ｏ２）２」＾４－离子的化学键性质，结果表明，Ｃｒ２（Ｏ２ＣＣＨ３）４在气相中存在ｄ四重键，而在固相中则不存在，揭示了四重键长之间的联系，直接给出Ｃｒ－Ｃｒｄ四重键的量子化学图象，并阐明     

Fractal phenomena in molecular mechanics calculation

It is proposed that in molecular mechanics calculation points belonging to various stable or meta-sta-ble conformtrs are mixed up and form fractal structures in conformation space.The calculation results show the following two phenomena:(i)Two levels of structure with fractal feature were observed.Around the conformer without mirror symmetry points belonging to the conformer and its enantiomer are mixed up and form the first level of fractal structure; on the boundary of the attractive basin o{ each atlractor,points belonging to different attractors form the second level of fractal structure.(ii) The variation of molecular mechanics parameters will influence the structure and area of each attractive basin significantly The above phenomena may become the basis of a new method for solving the troublesome multi-minimum-point problem in molecular mechanics calculation.

Anodic oxidation of hydrazine at carbon nanotube powder microelectrode and its detection

Carbon nanotube powder microelectrodes (CNTPMEs) were used to study the anodic oxidation of hydrazine at Carbon nanotube (CNT)-the novel carbon material. It was found that the electrochemical behaviours were greatly improved at CNTs, indicating that the anodic oxidation could be catalyzed at CNTs. The kinetics parameters of this process were calculated, the heterogeneous electron transfer rate constant k was 0.0019 cm s(-1), (1-alpha)n(alpha) was 0.22. The CNTPMEs were also found with high sensitivity for hydrazine detection, could be used as hydrazine sensors.
