d-cycloserine (CS) is transformed into cis-3, 6-bis(aminooxymethyl)-2, 5-piperazinedione (CS-dimer) in the solid state under a humid atmosphere. This dimerization process was followed by measuring the IR bands characteristic of CS and CS-dimer. The reaction was accelerated by the presence of increased water vapor. The X-ray analysis of CS monohydrate (CS · H2O) revealed that the CS molecules exist as a zwitter ion where the α-amino N atom is protonated and the amide N atom is deprotonated in the crystal. High hydrostatic pressure (HP) technology has gained more attention as a non-thermal food pasteurization technology. Recently, a limitation of the HP technology was reported by Koseki and Yamamoto [Recovery of Escherichia coli ATCC 25922 in phosphate buffered saline after treatment with high hydrostatic pressure. Int. J. Food Microbiol. 2006;110:108–111], who completely recovered Escherichia coli species after HP treatment. We investigated the recovery mechanism of E. coli after HP treatment. The cells were treated with 200–300 MPa at 0–25°C for 24 h. The HP-treated E. coli was recovered in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) during 120 h of incubation at 25°C, confirming the results reported by them. However, E. coli did not grow in PBS but grew with inactivated cells in PBS. In addition, the results of our “population size experiments” demonstrated that the recovery of E. coli cells depended on both the degree of pressure and the population size. These results suggest that some portion of cells recovered from the damage and then grew by using inactivated cells. 相似文献

A hybrid-type piston-cylinder pressure cell for the electron spin resonance (ESR) measurement has been developed. The cylinder of this pressure cell consists of a NiCrAl inner cylinder and a CuBe outer sleeve, and all inner parts are made of zirconium oxide which has good transmittance to the millimeter and submillimeter waves. We confirmed that the pressure reaches 2.1 GPa. We have also developed a transmission-type high-field ESR system having two different modulation methods for this pressure cell. A test measurement without pressure cell for the two-dimensional orthogonal-dimer spin system of SrCu2(BO3)2 has been done successfully in the wide frequency region. The combination of this electromagnetic wave transmission-type pressure cell and this high-field ESR system is a promising tool for the study of the pressure-induced phase transition of SrCu2(BO3)2. 相似文献

The modification of transparent materials using a femtosecond laser has been studied. We previously proposed a new method of modifying glass using a continuous-wave laser, named continuous-wave laser backside irradiation (CW-LBI), in which CW laser illumination induces a change in the refractive index without cracking the glass. In this study, we investigated the process of glass modification by CW-LBI using time-lapsed imaging and by calculation of the temperature. First, the modification of glass was observed by the shadowgraph method, and it was found that thermal radiation was included in the phenomena that occurred when the glass was modified. Second, the time-lapsed temperature distribution was calculated. The temperature distribution was roughly in accordance with the shape of the modified area observed in the shadowgraphs. We concluded that the radius of the modified area is dependent on the temperature reached in the glass. 相似文献

Passive walking emerges autonomously on a slight slope without an external input of energy. It is known that the walking motion on a steep slope evolves into a chaotic motion. In this paper a biped model for walking and running is presented, and a strategy is proposed to expand the range of stable passive walking by using a chaos-control technique based on the Ott?–?Grebogi?–?Yorke method. The resultant controller is a discrete type so that the input value changes at every step, and the generated walking motion is kept non-chaotic. Fast walking on a steep slope is achieved, and pseudorunning has also been realized in simulations. By adding an input to the biped model, in which the input corresponds to the effect of the artificial gravity field, it has been verified that pseudorunning can be realized on level ground. 相似文献

Photochemical reaction of zinc 3-acetyl-chlorophyll derivative possessing a chlorin π-system (trans-17,18-dihydroporphyrin) in the presence of a reductant in a deaerated solution gave trans-2,3-dihydrogenated products in 94% yield based on consumed starting material. A copper complex of a heterocorrole analogue with an N–N linkage, 1,19-diaza-21,24-dicarbadibenzocorrole ( Cu-5 ), was successfully synthesized via oxidative metalation–cyclization of a tetrapyrrolic precursor. The N–N linkage in the skeleton of Cu-5 , which serves as a mediator of π-electron delocalization, features an 18π aromatic system. The electronic structure of Cu-5 is best described as a ground-state singlet species stabilized by the distinct NNCC coordination core. This finding shows how the ligand's design can be used to modulate the Cu orbital energy, thereby making such compounds invaluable for copper-based catalytic applications. 相似文献

For this study, twisted π‐extended helicene 1 and double helicene 2 with a helicene framework were synthesized through palladium‐catalyzed C?H arylation or Suzuki–Miyaura coupling reaction. X‐ray crystallography revealed grossly twisted structures that were soluble in various conventional organic solvents. Optical properties based on UV/Vis and fluorescence spectra were measured. Electrochemical properties were also studied by measurements of cyclic voltammetry in 1 and 2 , which revealed their HOMO and the LUMO energies. Theoretical calculation supports their HOMO and LUMO energies and molecular orbitals. Furthermore, a racemization process of 2 predicted that the activation free energy at 300 K would be 31.8 kcal mol?1 by DFT calculation, which indicated the static helicity at 300 K. 相似文献

PurposeTo determine the clinical value of routine use of thin-section 3D MRI using 3D FSE sequences with a variable flip angle technique for internal derangements of the knee joint at 3 T.Method and MaterialsThirty-four knees in 34 patients suspected of having internal derangements of the knee joint were included. Following standard 2D MRI protocol including sagittal PDWI, T1WI and T2*WI, coronal fat-suppressed PDWI, and axial fat-suppressed PDWI with 3-4 mm thicknesses, fat-suppressed and water-excitation PDWI using 3D FSE sequences with a variable flip angle technique with 0.6 mm thickness were obtained in coronal plane and the three major planes with 1 mm thickness (3D MRI) was reformatted. The standard 2D MRI protocol and reformatted 3D MRI protocol (three sagittal 2D sequence images plus 3D MRI) were independently analyzed by two radiologists concerning presence or absence of lesions in the menisci, cartilage, and ligament. Interobserver agreements in both the MRI protocols were assessed by weighted-kappa coefficients. Regarding diagnostic accuracy, areas under the receiver operating characteristic curves (Az values) of both the MRI protocols were compared.ResultsThirty-eight meniscal lesions, 39 cartilage lesions, and 20 ligamentous lesions were surgically detected. Excellent interobserver agreements (kappa = 0.91–0.98) were seen in both the MRI protocols, with a slightly better tendency in the reformatted 3D MRI protocol. Average Az values in detection of the meniscal, cartilage, and ligamentous lesions were significantly higher in the reformatted 3D MRI protocol than in the standard 2D MRI protocol (p < 0.01 or p < 0.001).ConclusionRoutine use of reformatted thin-section 3D MRI using 3D FSE sequences with a variable flip angle technique may improve diagnostic accuracy and confidence in detection of internal derangements of the knee joint. 相似文献
