We experimentally demonstrate the first integrated temporal Fourier transformer based on a linearly chirped Bragg grating waveguide written in silica glass with a femtosecond laser. The operation is based on mapping the energy spectrum of the input optical signal to the output temporal waveform by making use of first-order chromatic dispersion. The device operates in reflection, has a bandwidth of 10 nm, and can be used for incident temporal waveforms as long as 20 ps. Experimental results, obtained through both temporal oscilloscope traces and Fourier transform spectral interferometry, display a successful Fourier transformation of in-phase and out-of-phase pairs of input optical pulses, and demonstrate the correct functionality of the device for both amplitude and phase of the temporal output.  相似文献

In this paper we simultaneously consider three extensions to the standard Orienteering Problem (OP) to model characteristics that are of practical relevance in planning reconnaissance missions of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). First, travel and recording times are uncertain. Secondly, the information about each target can only be obtained within a predefined time window. Due to the travel and recording time uncertainty, it is also uncertain whether a target can be reached before the end of its time window. Finally, we consider the appearance of new targets during the flight, so-called time-sensitive targets, which need to be visited immediately if possible. We tackle this online stochastic UAV mission planning problem with time windows and time-sensitive targets using a re-planning approach. To this end, we introduce the Maximum Coverage Stochastic Orienteering Problem with Time Windows (MCS-OPTW). It aims at constructing a tour with maximum expected profit of targets that were already known before the flight. Secondly, it directs the planned tour to predefined areas where time-sensitive targets are expected to appear. We have developed a fast heuristic that can be used to re-plan the tour, each time before leaving a target. In our computational experiments we illustrate the benefits of the MCS-OPTW planning approach with respect to balancing the two objectives: the expected profits of foreseen targets, and expected percentage of time-sensitive targets reached on time. We compare it to a deterministic planning approach and show how it deals with uncertainty in travel and recording times and the appearance of time-sensitive targets.  相似文献

The crystalline inclusion complexes of cholic acid with three symmetric N-aryl-N-nitrosamines were prepared, and their X-ray structures were solved. As a result of chiral conformations adopted by the enclathrated guest nitrosamines, the solid-state CD spectra were measured in KBr disks. The observed Cotton effect sign, corresponding to the n-pi* transition, was correlated with the helicity of the twisted nitrosamine chromophore conjugated with the N-aryl substituent. In addition, the absolute configuration of the enantiomorphous crystals of N-benzyl-N-nitroso-4-chloroaniline was established on the basis of the solid-state CD and X-ray crystallographic results.  相似文献

Lysozomal storage disorders are just beginning to be routinely screened using enzyme activity assays involving dried blood spots and tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS). This paper discusses some of the analytical challenges associated with published assays including complex sample preparation and potential interference from excess residual substrate. Solutions to these challenges are presented in the form of on‐line two‐dimensional chromatography to eliminate off‐line liquid‐liquid extraction (LLE) and solid‐phase extraction (SPE), the use of ultra‐high‐performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC) to separate excess substrate from all other analytes and multiplexed sample introduction for higher throughput required of a population screening assay. Solid-state 29Si, 113Cd, 119Sn, and 31P MAS NMR spectra are reported on a series of II-IV-P2 compounds. In favorable cases (e.g., high degree of crystallinity, low concentration of unpaired electrons), well-defined spectra, with sharp lines for each specific nearest-neighbor configuration, are observed; in such cases, expected J coupling patterns are also seen. High-resolution solid-state NMR studies of this type provide useful information on structure (disorder), doping, and electron-mediated coupling in semiconductor systems.  相似文献

Adsorption/desorption of proteins onto a biomaterial surface plays a major role on the biocompatibility of the implanted material. By modifying the biomaterial surface with specially designed functional groups one may achieve the most specific behavior of the developed material used in a biological system. Based on that, porous gel matrixes with functionalized surfaces offer unlimited possibilities to control the protein-substrate interaction behavior. In the present work, we have functionalized the surface of porous glass with several chemical groups during the synthesis of the silica matrix. The porous glass matrixes were obtained using tetraethoxysilane (TEOS)/ethanol and functionalized with 3-mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilane (MPTMS) and 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES). In vitro tests of the kinetics of protein adsorption and desorption from the gel matrix were monitored by UV-visible spectroscopy. The bioactivity of the incorporated protein was verified by in vivo experiments with adult male rats, where they presented an acute hypoglycemic peak.  相似文献

This paper describes the determination of Henry's law coefficients by means of the EPICS (equilibrium partitioning in closed systems) technique in combination with SPME (solid-phase microextraction). The use of solid-phase microextraction-sampling allowed us to extend the possibilities of the equilibrium partitioning in closed systems technique with respect to the range of Henry's law coefficients which can be measured. Whereas the equilibrium partitioning in closed systems technique is limited to determine air–water equilibrium partitioning of volatile compounds with Henry's law coefficients of at least 0.06 (dimensionless), the current method allowed to measure coefficients between 0.0023 and 13.5. In this way Henry's law coefficients of 20 compounds, being in a range covering five orders of magnitude, were measured with relative standard deviations between 1.0 and 19.8% (mean standard deviation: 5.7%; median of standard deviations: 4.8%, n=99). Several types of compounds were examined i.e. aliphatic hydrocarbons, monocyclic and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated and fluorinated compounds, ethers and esters, biphenyl and N-containing compounds, including compounds for which availability of experimental Henry's law coefficients is limited. Measurement of the equilibrium partitioning in the 2 to 25°C range allowed to establish relations of Henry's law coefficient as a function of temperature.  相似文献

Via compactification on a circle, the matrix mode] of M-theory proposed by Banks et a]. suggests a concrete identification between the large N limit of two-dimensional N = 8 supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory and type IIA string theory. In this paper we collect evidence that supports this identification.
