1-Chloroalkynes and 1-bromohexyne undergo cycloaddition reactions with ethoxyvinylketeneiron(0) complexes to form chloro and bromocatechols. With most substituents, the halogen is incorporated ortho to the phenolic hydroxyl group regioselectively. With chloroethyne, chlorohexyne, and methyl chloropropiolate, the reverse regioselection is observed. Ab initio calculations reveal that the products are, in most cases, nearly isoenergetic, which indicates that the intermediate ketene-alkyne adduct geometry must be important in determining the product distribution.  相似文献

The Friedel-Crafts reactions of 2,2-difluorocyclopropanecarbonyl chloride with various arenes did not lead to the straightforward formation of the expected aryl 2,2-difluorocyclopropyl ketones. Instead the reactions proceeded, to various degrees depending on the reactivity of the arene, via an apparent rearrangement of the initially formed acylium ion to form novel aryl 3-chloro-3,3-difluoropropyl ketones. The ring-opened product was formed exclusively, and therefore the reaction may be synthetically useful when relatively unreactive arene substrates such as benzene, toluene, and p-xylene are used. No conditions were found where ring-intact products could be formed exclusively when using substituted benzenes as substrates, with the very reactive substrate thiophene being most selective in that regard, favoring ring intact product 3 with a selectivity of 98:2. The regioselectivity of ring-opening was examined and compared with other related systems computationally.  相似文献

The catalytic CO + NO reaction to form CO2, N2, and N2O has been studied on a Pd(111) surface at pressures up to 240 mbar using in situ polarization modulation infrared reflection absorption spectroscopy (PM-IRAS). At 240 mbar, for a pressure ratio of PCO:PNO = 3:2 and under reaction conditions, besides adsorbed CO, the formation of isocyanate (-NCO) was observed. Once produced at 500-625 K, the isocyanate species was stable within the entire temperature range studied (300-625 K). On the other hand, its formation required a total CO + NO pressure of at least 0.6 mbar, illustrating the importance of in situ infrared experiments under high-pressure conditions. The significance of the isocyanate formation for the CO + NO reaction on Pd(111) is discussed.  相似文献

The potential energy surface for the interaction between benzene and hydroxyl radical is studied in detail using quantum mechanical methods, with a particular focus on the hydrogen abstraction pathway. Geometric parameters are optimized using a variety of density functional methods as well as perturbation theory. Energies are refined using coupled cluster singles and doubles with perturbative triples [CCSD(T)] extrapolated to the complete basis set limit. At our most reliable level of theory, complexation energies are found to be (with zero-point corrected energies in parentheses) 3.7 (2.8) kcal/mol for the benzene-hydroxyl radical complex and 2.9 (-1.7) kcal/mol for the phenyl radical-water complex. The barrier to H abstraction lies 6.5 (4.2) kcal/mol above the infinitely separated benzene and hydroxyl radical monomers.  相似文献

Voice onset time (VOT) data for the plosives /p b t d k g/ in two vowel contexts (/i a/) for 5 groups of 46 boys and girls aged 5; 8 (5 years, 8 months) to 13;2 years were investigated to examine patterns of sex differences. Results indicated that there was some evidence of females displaying longer VOT values than the males. In addition, these were found to be most marked for the data of the 13;2-year olds. Furthermore, the sex differences in the VOT values displayed phonetic context effects. For example, the greatest sex differences were observed for the voiceless plosives, and within the context of the vowel /i/.  相似文献

Previous experimental assignments of the fundamental vibrational frequencies of NCCO have been brought into question by subsequent unsuccessful attempts to observe IR signatures of this radical at these frequencies. Here we compute the fundamental vibrational frequencies by applying second-order vibrational perturbation theory to the complete quartic force field computed at the all-electron (AE) coupled cluster singles, doubles, and perturbative triples level [CCSD(T)] with the correlation-consistent, polarized core-valence quadruple-zeta (cc-pCVQZ) basis set, which has tight functions to correctly describe core correlation. The AE-CCSD(T)/cc-pCVQZ geometric parameters are r(e)(N-C)=1.1623 A, r(e)(C-C)=1.4370 A, r(e)(C-O)=1.1758 A, theta(e)(N-C-C)=168.55 degrees , and theta(e)(C-C-O)=132.22 degrees . Our CCSD(T)/cc-pCVQZ values of the characteristic stretching frequencies nu(1) and nu(2) are 2171 and 1898 cm(-1), respectively, in stark contrast to the experimentally derived values of 2093 and 1774 cm(-1). Finally, focal-point extrapolations using correlation-consistent basis sets cc-pVXZ (X=D,T,Q,5,6) and electron correlation treatments as extensive as full coupled cluster singles, doubles, and triples (CCSDT) with perturbative accounting of quadruple excitations [CCSDT(Q)] determine the vibrationless barrier to linearity of NCCO and the dissociation energy (D(0)) of NCCO-->NC+CO to be 8.4 and 26.5 kcal mol(-1), respectively. Using our precisely determined dissociation energy, we recommend a new 0 K enthalpy of formation for NCCO of 50.9+/-0.3 kcal mol(-1).  相似文献

Fluorine-19 and sodium-23 NMR measurements were carried out on sodium hexafluorophosphate solutions in a number of solvents. In solvents of medium polarity and donicity (e.g., propylene carbonate, acetone, acetonitrile) the 19 F chemical shift moved upfield with increasing concentration of the salt. This behavior is indicative of anion-cation interactions which may be of long-range type, i.e., formation of solvent-separated ion pairs; the possibility of contact ion pair formation, however, cannot be excluded. In solvents of low polarity and donicity (acetic acid, tetrahydrofuran), the salt is essentially completely associated in the 0.1–1.0M concentration range. On the other hand, in solvating solvents with high dielectric constants, such as dimethyl-formamide, dimethylsulfoxide, and formamide, there is very little ionic association in the same concentration range. The above conclusions are supported by 23 Na chemical shift measurements. Potassium hexafluorophosphate solutions do not show any concentration dependence of the 19 F chemical shifts, while for tetra-n-butylammonium solutions the 19 F resonance moves downfield with increasing concentration of the salt.To whom correspondence should be addressed.  相似文献
