Dipeptides with two hydrophobic side chains have proved to be an exceptional source of microporous organic materials, but since previous structures were limited to the incorporation of only proteinogenic residues, their full potential as adsorbents has remained unexplored. Single‐crystal XRD data for ten new compounds with non‐proteinogenic L ‐2‐aminobutanoic acid and/or L ‐2‐amino‐pentanoic acid are presented. The gas‐phase accessibility of their crystal pores, with cross‐sections of 2.3 to 5.1 Å, was monitored by CO2 and CH4 adsorption isotherms. Included CO2 was also detected spectroscopically by 2D MAS NMR. An extensive conformational analysis reveals that the use of linear rather than branched side chains (such as L ‐valine and L ‐isoleucine) affords peptides with a greater degree of conformational freedom and yields more‐flexible channel surfaces that may easily adapt to a series of potential guest molecules.  相似文献

Fully mass printed, flexible and truly polymeric organic field effect transistors consisting of a three layer dielectric made of CYTOP (low‐k), PVA (intermediate) and P(VDF‐TrFE‐CTFE)(high‐k) are introduced. Gravure‐, flexo‐and screen printing were selected as highly productive manufacturing technologies. These OFETs work at strongly reduced voltages and show high field effect mobility (µ = 0.2 cm2/Vs) and remarkable good bias stress stability at very high current density (50 µA/mm). Fully printed OFETs are used for the realization of ring oscillators working in the kHz regime at reduced supply voltage (10 V). In combination with printed fully polymeric piezoelectric loudspeakers, this work shows for the first time fully printed flexible audio systems. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Polym. A series of electrogenerated selective electrophiles based on substituted benzoquinones has been characterized as tags for l-cysteine and cysteine residues in proteins. The electrophiles are generated electrochemically from the corresponding hydroquinones. It is shown from mass spectrometry analysis that the electrogenerated benzoquinone can tag the biomolecules. The rate constants pertaining to the addition of l-cysteine onto the electrogenerated benzoquinones have been determined using electrochemical techniques. The substitution patterns have been unraveled leading to the assessment of site-specific rate constants. It is shown that the rate constants are primarily dependent on the electronic nature of the substituents as expressed by the Hammett substitution constant. The apparent tagging yields observed for l-cysteine in nanospray mass spectrometry experiments do not correspond to the yields expected from the electrochemical study, as the ionisation efficiencies are highly dependent on the tag. Finally, the on-line tagging has been tested using β-lactoglobulin A and myoglobin. Based on these results, it is concluded that the tagging reaction is selective towards cysteine when it takes place in the nanospray interface. The results show that the methodology presented can be used for a rapid characterization and identification of reactive sites in biomolecules.  相似文献

We report experimental evidence for the formation of C(5)-hydroperoxyaldehydes (HPALDs) from 1,6-H-shift isomerizations in peroxy radicals formed from the hydroxyl radical (OH) oxidation of 2-methyl-1,3-butadiene (isoprene). At 295 K, the isomerization rate of isoprene peroxy radicals (ISO2?) relative to the rate of reaction of ISO2? + HO2 is k(isom)(295)/(k(ISO2?+HO2)(295)) = (1.2 ± 0.6) x 10(8) mol cm(-3), or k(isom)(295) ? 0.002 s(-1). The temperature dependence of this rate was determined through experiments conducted at 295, 310 and 318 K and is well described by k(isom)(T)/(k(ISO2?+HO2)(T)) = 2.0 x 10(21) exp(-9000/T) mol cm(-3). The overall uncertainty in the isomerization rate (relative to k(ISO2?+HO2)) is estimated to be 50%. Peroxy radicals from the oxidation of the fully deuterated isoprene analog isomerize at a rate ~15 times slower than non-deuterated isoprene. The fraction of isoprene peroxy radicals reacting by 1,6-H-shift isomerization is estimated to be 8-11% globally, with values up to 20% in tropical regions.  相似文献

The absorption spectra and excited state dipole moments of four differently substituted fulvenes have been investigated both experimentally and computationally. The results reveal that the excited state dipole moment of fulvenes reverses in the first excited singlet state when compared to the ground state. The oppositely polarized electron density distributions, which dominate the ground state and the first excited singlet state of fulvenes, respectively, reflect the reversed π-electron counting rules for aromaticity in the two states (4n + 2 vs. 4n, respectively). The results show that substituents indeed influence the polarity of fulvenes in the two states, however, cooperative interactions between the substituents and the fulvene moiety are most pronounced in the ground state.  相似文献

Three dimensional hierarchical materials are widespread in nature but are difficult to synthesize by using self‐assembly/organization. Here, we employ a gel–liquid interface to obtain centimeter‐long ~100 μm diameter tubes with complex mineral wall structures that grow from the interface into solution. The gel, made from gelatin, is loaded with metal chloride salt, whereas the solution is a high pH anion source. Tubes were obtained with a range of cations (Ca2+, Sr2+, Ba2+, Cu2+, and Zn2+) and anions (CO32? and PO43?). The crystalline phases found in the tube walls corresponded to expectations from solution chemistries and phase solubilities. The growth mechanism is found to be akin to that of chemical gardens. The divalent cations modify the strength of the gelatin gel in a manner that involves not only simple electrostatic screening, but also ion‐specific effects. Thus, tubes were not obtained for those ions and/or concentrations that significantly changed the gel’s mechanical structure. At high Cu2+ loading, for example, vertical convection bands, not Liesegang bands, were observed in the gels.  相似文献

A small and very simple electromembrane extraction probe (EME-probe) was developed and coupled directly to electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS), and this system was used to monitor in real time in vitro metabolism by rat liver microsomes of drug substances from a small reaction (incubation) chamber (37 °C). The drug-related substances were continuously extracted from the 1.0 mL metabolic reaction mixture and into the EME-probe by an electrical potential of 2.5 V. The extraction probe consisted of a 1-mm long and 350-μm ID thin supported liquid membrane (SLM) of 2-nitrophenyl octyl ether. The drugs and formed metabolites where extracted through the SLM and directly into a 3 μL min?1 flow of 60 mM HCOOH inside the probe serving as the acceptor solution. The acceptor solution was directed into the ESI-MS-system, and the MS continuously monitored the drug-related substances extracted by the EME-probe. The extraction efficiency of the EME-probe was dependant on the applied electrical potential and the length of the SLM, and these parameters as well as the volume of the reaction chamber were set to the values mentioned above to avoid serious depletion from the reaction chamber (soft extraction). Soft extraction was mandatory in order not to affect the reaction kinetics by sample composition changes induced by the EME-probe. The EME-probe/MS-system was used to establish kinetic profiles for the in vitro metabolism of promethazine, amitriptyline and imipramine as model substances.  相似文献

Our objective, here, is to generalize our earlier results on the existence of classical convex solution to a free boundary problem with a Bernoulli-type boundary gradient condition and with the -Laplacian as the governing operator. The main theorems of this paper assert that the exterior and the interior free boundary problem with a Bernoulli law, i.e. with a prescribed pressure on the ``free' streamline of the flow, have convex solutions provided the initial domains are convex. The continuous function is subject to certain convexity properties. In our earlier results we have considered the case of constant . In the lines of the proof of the main results we also prove the semi-continuity (up to the boundary) of the gradient of the -capacitary potentials in convex rings, with boundaries.
